I have no idea this is bizarre. I've had quail for two years and it never even occurred to me that fertilized eggs could be unhealthy? I did some googling and there's no difference in nutrition. Some people were bothered they were eating something that could have hatched. Where do they think their chicken nuggets come from? Ha
I think some people imagine that there could have been decent development in the egg and if they crack/boil it they'll find a tiny bird blob in their dinner, like a mini Balut or sth. But as long as you're checking their housing thoroughly and removing eggs daily, there won't be any development since they've stood no chance for sitting/incubating.. put them in the fridge and/or use very fresh and there's definitely no chance.
Nope! You might consider putting a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar in their water to keep the birds healthy. But even a sickly bird can lay health and safe eggs.
I don't know why you don't have more likes? Because that was so helpful to me for some 1 like me, a first-timer, and took a likening to quails.
My quails are not at laying age yet but thank you for the tips! Love your channel 🫶🏽
There's nothing wrong with eating fertilized eggs. In fact, I often use breakfast as a chance to estimate the fertility rate of my eggs.
Sure, but it's kinda offputting.
Great info, thanks
thank you for the information
Why do people think that fertilized eggs aren’t edible? My God my brother and sister are in mid 90s have eaten fertilized eggs all their lives
