*I already own the Battle II combo **enjoyable.fishing** recommend and decided to try a Fierce II combo to carry out to the pier. Works great and for the money they are hard to beat.*
I Like this approach with roll cast, I teach it in a really similiar way as you do. A lot of videos (I think) on the internet teaches a half switch cast or a jump roll instead of a classical roll cast as you show. That is really different by jump roll and switch for my personal opinion. Thanks for vid.
I can't seem to get a good roll cast. I get a good D-Loop, decent forward momentum but the line snakes out, in lots of little S's. Never straight, too much upward direction.. Input would be appreciated!
Rod/reel combo with fishing kit as an emergency setup ruclips.net/user/postUgkxntWMOZsO1Zfv-pdn_XuffEtNkTYAYu4Z recommend but started to use this every day. The rod is thick and seems durable. I keep it neatly tucked into a regular backpack all the time with my fishing gear, and can grab it anytime, put it on my back and go anywhere. I just read in another review that the rod length below the reel is adjustable as well, so I will try that too for even more portability. Probably the best setup I've ever owned. I lost the cap for the eyelets, but no big deal since I still have the black cloth sheath that came for the pole and I use that. Very portable and high quality.
*I wasn't sure what to expect with these rods **allabout.wiki/d6jl** I took one out for a spin on Sunday, and was casting 35-45 feet across open water. The first fish I hooked into had just breached a second or two before, and the rod had the accuracy to drop the fly right where the fish was. I've not yet fished with a really expensive fly rod, but this rod feels nice, it's well balanced, and it casts way better than the starter kits I've used in the past.*

Very helpful! Good to know when on stream with cliff or trees behind you. Thanks!

I tried that cast but my line and fly just all landed in one spot or the line will go ahead and my fly will just stop. What should I do?
