Just the best in concert! I went to so many of his concerts and every single time, had a ball! Again and again. My very favourite singer, but even more so, my very favourite entertainer! Thank you for affording him the respect. He really is the GREATEST!
The girl playing Tamborine is Lisa Edwards that has always been his back up singer over for many many years. There is a video of John and Lisa singing Angels. She is an outstanding singer in her own right. John has his comedy going full pelt in that video. Thanks for your reaction.
Lisa Edwards is the lady. She has been with John for many, many years. Male backup is Lindsay Field (also plays guitar with). The other lady backup singer is Venetta Fields (who was in the group The Blackberrys. Vanetta Fields was a backing vocalist for touring American and British rock and pop acts of the 1960s and 1970s, as well as working as a session recording vocalist, she worked with artists including Ike & Tina Turner, Pink Floyd, Humble Pie, Barbra Streisand, Elkie Brooks, Neil Diamond, Steely Dan, Boz Scaggs, Bob Seger and the Rolling Stones. After emigrating to Australia in 1982, she took up citizenship. She recorded or toured as a backing singer for Australian artists Richard Clapton, Australian Crawl, Cold Chisel, Jimmy Barnes, James Morrison and John Farnham.
There’s only one thing better than watching someone watch John Farnham And that’s seeing him LIVE. You leave his concerts on a high. He is master class. And watching him in action is just fantastic. Sending love and good vibes to John and his family 💕💕
Jeff, others may have mentioned if you loved the vid, imagine, like so many of us here, going to John’s live concerts - they were brilliantly fantastic
This has to be up there with one of the greatest concerts of all time by any artist ever. Check out “burn for you” “that’s freedom” “I can do anything” from this same gig
Hello George. I just finished live show and we were talking about you. All good of course. Hope I find you well. I will have a go at that for sure mate
Great reaction 👍 John wrote Playing To Win after influenced by a concert at LA’s Universal Amphitheatre 1983 where his microphone lead was stuck down by 2 of the original members. This concert his and LRB’s late manager Glenn Wheatley explains it like it was John’s coming-of-age concert . While singing he ripped up the microphone lead so he can perform the way he likes to . Well after the concert in the dressing room there was a massive argument between John and those 2 original members. John said something like ; get out of my was stop holding me back . The 2 original members left LRB once that tour was finished. Playing To Win was major change in musical direction for LRB from their smooth harmony yacht rock which diehard LRB fans loved . Playing To Win didn’t make the the top 50 in Australia and in the US . But Australian sporting programs pick up the song as a promotional song and Playing To Win as become a sporting anthem in Australia. Playing To Win and underrated album with the same title was John’s blueprint for he’s solo career that was 2 years away . Sadly John is the key songwriter but all of the other members are also credited because they all believed that John the casual songwriter may have just written a worldwide smash hit , John just them have their credit just to keep the peace and the to be fare across-the-board . LRB’s bassist Wayne Nelson was juggling commitments between the reformed LRB Glenn Shorrock back on vocals in 1988 and The Farnham Band this tour Chain Reaction tour 1990/91 was Wayne Nelson last tour with John . John hasn’t invited Wayne Nelson back in the Farnham Band since the legal action over LRB’s naming rights started to happen in the late 90’s . LRB fans have made it clear that the current lineup of LRB with no original members and no Australians isn’t welcome in Australia .
So much to say first of all let me thank you for taking the time to write that. I have no interest in seeing lrb anymore. I used to go see them anytime they were in the States but I'm not checking out a band without any original members. That whole situation just sucked
You haven't heard anything yet regarding JOHN FARNHAM LIVE. One of JOHNS TOP 2 rock songs with insane drum and insane energy is a song called " ALL OUR SONS AND DAUGHTERS". You will love this one as was one of his No 1 songs .If you YOU TUBE SEARCH the following you will find it > Search >>>>>>>> John Farnham - All Our Sons and Daughters + Credits (High Quality)
oh what a good way to start my Saturday lol. Yes Jeff LRB was not a good fit for John as they wanted him to just sing and for John who is the ultimate showman...has to have his space as he is the ultimate entertainer. The song is his parting shot as he left the band with very little money as they were already going broke... So 'This Time I'm Playing To Win' was spot on. Lovely to catch up with you again. Always putting a smile on my face lol
Got a big smile on my face just seeing that you are here. Thanks for stopping by it is good to see you. I hope I find you well. Great song and a great way to let them know
@@OccasionalOutlaw Yes it was mainly the lead song writer and he was also the reason Glen Shorrick left. But they were a great band...but bond to happen when strong ideas aren't agreed lol
John owns any stage. Great performance. Classic "Farnsy".
Just the best in concert! I went to so many of his concerts and every single time, had a ball! Again and again. My very favourite singer, but even more so, my very favourite entertainer! Thank you for affording him the respect. He really is the GREATEST!

Hello Bella I hope I find you well. Thank you kindly for all the good info. I appreciate your time and support always
@OccasionalOutlaw don't know if you have reacted to Humble Pie Black Coffee, but worth the time. Venetta's group The Blackberrys are featured.

Looking very spiffy there Jeff 😊 Great reaction, this is one of my favourites from John ❤
Thank you for the kind words. Hope I find you well. That was amazing performance I love the way he is on stage
Lisa Edwards is the girl on vocals and tambourine. She is a life long friend of John's and she is awesomely talented.

Thank you Darren I will give it a go for sure.
This an amazing song in its own right 😮. More so when it’s played over footy highlights 😮. He is the goat for sure . Cheers outlaw 👍
John always had a stage hand with a collection of mic stands because he destroyed so many.
Lisa Edwards mate!

Wayne Nelson on the base
Thank you Jeff
It's only a fool. When you paused trying to listen when he bent forward, Lisa Edwards closet to camera play the tambourine.
The ol rewind to check out Lisa dancing, yeah I would've done that more than once 😍
Can't help it mate.
🎉❤
Farnsy is the Goat!
Lisa was insanely hot
And a talented vocalist of course
She's a Beauty with a great voice
Lisa Edwards mmmmmm!
Right
What’s with the tie Jeff? 😮🧐
Hello Sigrid. I hope I find you well. I had an event today and thought I would put on a shirt and tie
Nah. Not any more.
