- The basic lined patch pocket is a pretty easy pocket to start out with as a beginner. I just do a square pocket for the tutorial, but the bottom of the pocket can definitely be shaped, if you prefer.
These patch pockets are great for adding to clothing, bags, aprons, and tons of other fabric projects. I'm not a sewing expert, so if I can do it, so can you. :)

This honestly helped me so much??? I've started making book sleeves to protect my books that I carry around (especially for school), and want to add a little pocket on the front for sticky flags or a pen/highlighter, and any tutorial blog post NEVER made sense. Thank you for such a simple and easy to understand tutorial!!
Artemis Starlite I love that idea!
This is awesome, thank you! I've only ever made pockets with duct tape, for duct tape wallets but wasn't sure how to go about making fabric pockets. Apart from sewing, it's pretty much the same process.
Thank you!! Perfection information!
Very helpful, thank you 😀
Beautiful tutorial and very easy to follow, am definitely trying this out 😁
Great example
Noticed you were having a little trouble with the corners, a little trick I've learnt over the years is if you rub them together then they will sometimes come out!
+Megan Stephens Thank you, Megan! :)
No sewing machine?
I used a sewing machine, but this could be made by hand sewing, too.
