I'm weird and I like carrying trinkets around, so I got really frustrated with bags that didn't come with enough pockets! This is just what I needed thank you! On to make the perfect bag!
I love your tutorials, you explain everything clearly and I like that you show us what you are explaining. Thank you for that. By the way your husband cracks me up at the end of your videos. ❤
I have to commend you for the very detailed instructions. Though I didn't need them, I'm sure there are others that do. Very well done, great tutorial.

Hi Carol. It was so nice meeting you. The quilt show was very crowded and we didn't get very much of the show recorded. Thanks for watching, and happy sewing.
The only reason I subscribed to your channel is because of your unique ending with the 3 men 😂 I was seriously about to end the video and I saw that and loved it ❤

Hi Sue. This is the easiest method. But I agree, there are many different ways to make a pocket for a tote bag or purse. Thanks for watching, and happy sewing.
Thank you. I am making a tote bag to take to sewing class and now I know how to put in a pocket to hold my license and some money so I don't need to take my entire purse.
I want to do this to my canvas work shirt, similar to woodworking apron pockets. It should be more comfortable than an apron, haven't seen anyone so it before it's not on the internet.
Hi Frm108. The best way is to remove the stitches on the 2 sides and bottom seams of the lining. Then stitch the pockets on, and stitch the side an bottom seams together. If the backpack does not have lining, then you would have to stitch the pockets on from the inside of the bag. But your stitches will show through to the outside. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching💗and happy sewing😍

Thanks so much! Do you have a tutorial of actually sewing the pockets in a tote. Also, how far from the edge of the tote do you place the pockets?
Where did you buy that fabric? I would love to make an entire bag with it.
Thank you! Wonderful! What weight/type of interfacing do you recommend using?
I recommend for the pockets a light to medium weight interfacing. Thanks for watching, and happy sewing. 😍

How does one sew or place into existing lining of the bag or backpack please ?
