  • Putting the washing machine into this mode will cause the machine to stop retrying and fault straight away when it finds a fault. This is so that time isn't wasted and a clear indication of the failure can be obtained straight away. Refer to the user manual located here, to see what your error code corresponds to.

    Renee Snijder clean your water hose intake filters at the back of the machine. Where the hot and cold hoses screw on. They are removable to clean.Most likely not the actual valves, just crap from the water supply.

    I had to go through this a couple of times but it worked and washer seems to be working. I think when the power came back on after a brief outage, it messed up the cycle even though the washer wasn't on at the time it was still plugged in.

    Mate you need more information in this video like what do you mean it's waiting for any errors, what will it show? how do you interpret the flashing lights? will it fix anything or just tell you what's wrong? and most importantly, how do you take it out of diagnostic mode?

    My start/pause button is worn out. Can you recommend a tutorial to replace the touch panel? I am having trouble removing the facia within which its mounted, there are 2 screws that release it and allow it to pivot up an inch, however I am unable to remove it or pivot it enough to remove the board or check the specs to order the new part.

    I have an Elba washer and dryer bought them both in 2009. My washer is acting funny the wash cycle is shorter now it only takes like 15 minutes to wash in (all Modes) and also noticed that its not filling the tank with water it just dispense water but in the same time it drains it. Does that sound NORMAL to u?

    Always getting a cold wash. Not getting a full tank of hot water when Hot is selected on my F/P GWL11 Washer. Have replaced Hot Water Valve, and new Thermostat. Still not working. If I select Hot, the Washer begins the wash cycle with hot water, (this is a short cycle to wet cloths & dissolve soap? Not sure?) but then when it begins the volume fill the water is stone cold. Same with Warm setting. Any ideas?

    • @SadamFlu
      @SadamFlu  4 года назад

      I don't think I have ever come across a GWL11 before. It must be one of the first machines? I don't think any of the newer machines have thermostats. They have thermistors though.

    SadamFlu, I put my Fisher Paykal into diagnostic mode and the first 5 lights left to right are blinking. 1&2 yellow, 3,4,5 green. What happens is I power on and then is starts and stops. Water on then off about 12 times and then it stops and beeps continuously. Since I've had this since 2002, I've had a few parts replaced. It's been such a dependable machine. Should I fix it? will it last another 10 years? Thanks for any help. Sharon

      Does it look like the bowl wants to turn but doesn't? I think your machine needs a new rps sensor. I should make a video on that.

    I hate to say it but today all the appliances are made like crap. Everything needs to be fixed just after a few years. My Fisher Paykel washer has been fixed twice along with my LG refrigerator. At least my washer was about 8years old but the refrigerator was 1.5 years old! Its on the blink again! Stay away from LG.

      It could be that there is something blocking the pump or it's worn out. The pump is easily removed from underneath. You just pull the clip and twist.

  • @claywebb8199
    @claywebb8199 6 лет назад

    Good info but didnt help me much. My machine is overfilling but the lights returned no fault whatsoever, just blinked away for ages then went off!
    Handy trick to know though.

    • @SadamFlu
      @SadamFlu  6 лет назад +1

      all that this trick does is show you the fault straight away without trying to work through the fault. it's a dumb video and I should either delete it or make more.
      as for your washing machine the pressure sensor has failed on the board, you could resolder another pressure sensor from another board and see if that helps or find another board entirely.

    • @claywebb8199
      @claywebb8199 6 лет назад

      SadamFlu hey thanks for reply, I wasn't expecting one!
      Yeh I've had a quick look and could see there was no switch as normal and that the hose looks like it goes straight onto the circuit board. I was going to check the hose for leaks (when I've got more tools than a kitchen knife available) and go from there. I'm wondering if the switch is available as a seperate item or if one has to purchase the entire board???
      I guess a normal switch could also be wired in its place as well though.

    • @SadamFlu
      @SadamFlu  6 лет назад

      it's not a switch though... it's a sensor that turns air pressure into a resistance value, different levels of resistance equal the different levels of water the machine can hold. I doubt you can find them separate at some store... eventually when you mess with these machines enough you collect enough parts and you can solder components around. it doesn't always work out. good thinking with holes in the tube, perhaps it didn't have a good hold of the sensor... what usually happens is the diaphragm of the sensor wears out and the CPU never knows what level the water is at this overflows the laundry room.

    • @claywebb8199
      @claywebb8199 6 лет назад

      SadamFlu Yes maybe the diaphragm is on its way out as the machine is not overflowing to the point of flooding it's just filling too much as in for its minimum water setting it's filling the drum half way (which seems excessive to me as it's a bloody large drum) and for the medium setting it fills to within 4 inches of the very top of the drum. I've not dared try it on maximum fill as I reckon with a load of clothes in taking up space it would easily overflow (which incidentally it did recently when my wife used it in auto setting with a full load which is what alerted me to the problem).
      Looks like I may have to try and source another machine which has different issues for spares!

    • @SadamFlu
      @SadamFlu  6 лет назад +1

      what your describing to me makes me think that the machine size setting is wrong. it thinks that it's a larger machine than it is. there's a set of instructions in the user manual that tell you how to set the machine size... getting that manual to you is tricky... I'll make a video now on how to set the machine size.
