I think I've figured out what the wall and statue gems are; Travertine. In real life, travertine forms around hot springs (think of the extraction chambers, which are like saunas) and is used in architecture for things such as floors. I think this stone fits them the best, but we really don't know enough about them so they could be other gems.
@SliceofOtaku - Perhaps those hallway gems aren't totally flat and permanently stuck to the wall? They might act as a form of security, and can step out of their alcoves to deal with intruders.
Or reconfigure for different room needs. Sentient partitions... 😬 Or maybe there aren't many permanent buildings on Homeworld due to limited space, so some Gems have the duty to shift into whatever structures might be needed
I feel like these inanimate object gems are a product of gem harvesting. In a sense they may be dying gems, gems that have outlived their purpose and have been repurposed into other products due to the resource issues thus instead of producing new objects they reuse old gems who while not distressed are most likely only accepting their new purpose because they're that loyal to homeworld. Dying gems that have no energy to fight their own fate.
This doesn’t make sense. Gems don’t die in the human sense. None of the gems we have seen were cracked so it wouldn’t make sense to take fully functional gems and repurposing them.
Gems still die and become broken. It’s just that the biological aspect of humans doesn’t apply to gems. Also the amount of gems needs to meet the demand for colonies and recourses.
@@Marixchatt By dying I don't mean like dying like an organic being, I mean that they may have just outlived their purpose to the point of downright "calcifying". So like I don't mean they die but more or less become statue-like, then again the wall gems could move their arms so I'm probably grasping at straws.
The new gem fusion is pretty cool though. Even though she’s a same gem fusion, Yellow still zapped her. Which probably means, that not only different gem fusions on homeworld are unheard of, it also means that same gem fusions are also unprecedented. Yes, in the episode that Garnet was telling Steven Sapphire and Ruby’s love story, our Ruby and a few other Rubies did fuse, but it was put into good use. So, fusion is frowned upon, being indifferent to what gems are being fused, unless it’s for a purpose.
I'm pretty sure she was 2 different types of Jades. When its a same gem fusion they look the same, but bigger. This fusion looked different. Therefore she is a different gem fusion of very similar but not same gems.
Yes they are the same gem, namely Jades, but the fusion looks like neither of them. Seeing that same gem fusions just result in a bigger version of their components, those two gems must have been different kinds of Jades. If this is not the case, the fusion could have just been poofed for standing up to the Diamonds.
i wonder if any gems used for the buildings were gems being punished for some reason; since they look uncomfortable and we already know the diamonds have the power to change the form of gems and use it as a form of controlling/enforcing rules (like the corrupted gems on earth, or when white diamond turned the gems into grey mimicking beings)
I believe the gem walls could be a subtle nod to miners, because when miners mine in abandoned caves they will talk about the walls potentially caving in and professionals often times call this “wall commotion” this may not be what they’re hinting at but it’s all I got.
I was expecting each gem's design to be more uniform. For example, the sapphires' designs and colour schemes are all drastically different. Maybe this is due to the diamonds not wanting to waste resources since they've been limited since era 2, but it's just my observation. And is it just me, or did it seem like every sapphire was escorted by a ruby with the opposite gem placemen? Are rubies and sapphires made in pairs like topaz?
It's possible that being high class gems sapphires are allowed more variation with their appearances. Also since Rubies are just red sapphires they might be made at the same place and straight out of the ground Rubies are assigned to Sapphires.
@@BB_Azurite - You know, that would explain why, even after being reset, Ruby knew she was assigned to Sapphire. But where did the other ruby guards come from then?

You might want to turn away from the "These gems don't look good" viewpoint. We honestly do not understand anything about the structure of the Gem Society. If I had to take a wager on how it got this way, I would assume that the pre-1st generation of Gems and tech were more of a technological art show for the creator race(s) to amuse themselves with. However with more development they became the obsession of a major player within the creator race(s) and soon were put to use in all areas of decor and other societal desires. At some point the need to have soldiers must have come from the notion that the creators no longer could/would use themselves as soldiers and redesigned their "arts" into functional fighters. These fighters transformed into the Gems we know of today. Obviously there is way more behind the lore that we don't know, but it would make sense that systematic functionality like GEARS in a machine WAS the desired function of pre-Gems. Logically it makes sense (when you strip away the HUMAN EMPATHY factor) that they would have looked like that from eras past. "Dance for me my wonderful gears! Show me the wonderful precision which WE have bestowed upon you!" Said a creator. That is my take on them anyhow.
Here's who I think these unknown Gems are. Comby- Pebble The yellow sentient walls- Sanidine The yellow statues and fountains- Honey Calcite The ones at 3:14 that seem to be ''in pain''- Imperial Topaz The doors you said that kind of look like Pearl's- Yellow Danburite The blue sentient statue carvings- Ceruleite The werid singing disco ball thing with too-realistic looking hands- Ekanite The litte green things surrounding the Disco ball thing- Ludlamite
I'm so so sorry but your channle has like 63 subs as of when I reading it so don't think you will get there soon but I'm subbed and keep up the good work👍
I’m pretty sure that episode was showing us where the fluid in the gem injectors comes from. Yellow diamond sweats hers off in a steam room extraction chamber and Blue does so in her bath. Similarly I do think the rock garden Steven sits in has absorbed Pink’s tears and that’s where the pebbles came from - though this time it was a common rock. If that’s so, then any moisture escaping the extraction chambers would make the area sentient.
I'm not sure if the episode where she said this was out at the time this video was made, but at one point Yellow Diamond says "from the thin flake of mica, to the tallest, hardest stone." That makes me think... mica flakes are puny! What purpose would a gem *that small* serve? A single one of White Diamond's eyelashes would be a dang football field to them! Maybe they work together like ant colonies... it's gemsona time!
the reason for these unusual variants is that the walls and statues are exposed to prolongued periods of time to diamond essence. the more essence it receives the more sentient and alive it becomes. stevens fluids are more filtered and organic, so when exposed to organic plant life, the plants become sentient, and autonomous. as for the case of lars, steven essentially brought life to a corpse. that corpse just so happened to have a brain that allowed for the transference of memory from th previous state to the new state. as for the clay boy that steven created, most likely it was originally organic.
the thomas gems are jades i found it out when i had the caption on and the two thomas like gems came and it said jade so i think half of the gems at the ball was jades
I'd debate that all of them are! The Gemstone of Jade comes in a variety of colors ranging across the hemospectrum. It's all dependent on what minerals were in their system, so to speak, when they were created. Sapphires are the same way! A pure sapphire is clear, but the impurities in it's formation give it varying colors, blue being it's most famous.

The Pebbles made me remember the time when the Crystal gems used the Rubies' ship to travel to Pink's zoo and there was a suze setting for this incredibly small gem. I suppose we now know what gem is that size!
Theory - All fusion gems can also be found naturally, but are far less powerful due to the single gem. The reason for the increased power is not the nature of the gem, but the amplification of the power available to the gems, something that is lessened in single gem fusions.
my favored gems in the new episode are the tank engine gems. right after the trailer was released I drew a picture of that gem whith those side precautions being ribbons and something akin to a bonnet and drew them whit a steampunk esk gown, then again I really liked aquamarine when she came out as well. I like the pebbles as well.
Since rose is pink diamond it actually is referred that when a gem reforms they can choose a new form permanently such as a comb or wall it's also probably how the gems clothes change however since that form is so abstract and mostly useless that gems only do it at order of the diamonds or other elites
I think it's weird that they have humanoid forms at all. Pearl even once referred to it as their "human forms" (I believe in the ep "Fusion Cuisine"). Like, were all Gems shaped different ways until they encountered something humanoid and White Diamond was like "Ooh, bipedal... That has some benefits over being a big ass rock... Everyone, poof yourselves, this is what we're doing now. Oh, except you guys, we'll need some chairs..."
Imagine gems that looked like spiders, oh, perhaps their corrupted form is their original form before humanoid form was programmed in? (Just a thought)
I think the new SU episodes has something I haven’t seen any people touch on yet- I think that the Diamonds are actually organic life- specifically with Steven since gems are supposed to be LIGHT PROJECTIONS how can a being made of light get freaky with Pink Diamond and have a kid? Furthermore we see Yellow Diamond sweating and Blue Diamond combing her hair (she also has a toothbrush which no gem has ever HAD to use before- well except for Peridot in a joke where it’s like ‘it’s okay I know you used my toothbrush’. Seriously IDK why nobody’s touching on this and it’s KILLING ME!
Would make some sense, actually. Blue resisted Yellow's electricity, and sure, one could say "She's powerful", but it looked the same as Steven resisting the destabilizers - The lines go up the body, but it never can manage to actually poof them. And on top of that, diamonds ARE carbon lattices, and carbon is a pretty key element in organic life
Which again considering how diamonds in real life have to use Sunlight to divide light and how some gems can be used in crystalline batteries I think there’s a compelling argument
I think the reason why there's gems in the walls is that the *walls are gems*. Most everything on homeworld seems to be comprised of the bodies of gems. The buildings are essentially hard-light. Perhaps this is to conserve precious minerals and rock as the planet is falling apart, or simply a statement of opulence and wealth by the diamonds.
I think the reason you didn't see any Homeworld Garnets is because of Caste, in that they wouldn't be seen anywhere near a Diamond, they'd be working at their intended purpose.
I feel like the whole gear gem thing in the ball was to show that homeworld is mechanically precise and has no real deviation. Basically obvious visual metaphor (obvious here is not at all a bad thing). Showing a bunch of amethysts or other gems would have been fine and MAYBE should have been included in the ball (but probably not in a dance scene) but I don't think it would be good to undercut the metaphor just to maintain relatively unimportant continuity. It might even create a plothole if pink had a bunch of amethysts loyal to her that don't even try to defend her at the end of the ball when she fuses with connie and that would RUIN a lot of the thematic thread where Steven is alone on homeworld with allies that are either powerless (the crystal gems) or only fair weather allies that view him as pink and won't more than superficially acknowledge Steven as Steven or disrupt their routine to actually help him change homeworld (the other diamonds and most gems generally).
When you said if the Comby's are exclusive to the Diamonds only that got me thinking that they're not. So then I imagined a bunch Comby's fighting in the Crystal Gem Rebellion. That would be funny to see.
Here's the thing; my favorite story ever is Sentenced to Prism, which also has a society of mineral-based lifeforms (though without the light-based holograms). The thing about that book, is that EVERY function niche in society was filled by a person ACTING AS THE TOOL. Their radio towers, their walls, their spaceships - each of them are individual beings with names and thoughts, who are evolved to perfectly fit that role and chose to do so because it allows for society to better support all its components than if they acted alone. So, when Steven Universe showed us Homeworld, I assumed that a similar principle, and that unless proven otherwise Every Single Thing we saw around us was already a gem. The little bots that chased the Off-colours? I always assumed they aren't 'robots', but a type of gem. Lars' stolen ship, the arms and legs of the diamonds? The holo-forms of gems who chose to effectively go into a sleep-mode so that they can be better navigated. The palanquins? Gems. Every wall, door, light source, communication device, EVERYTHING we saw on the moon; I assumed that they were all gems at their cores. Rather than 'what IS a gem', because my brain already DOWN for that, I'd be more curious about 'What ISN'T a gem?' With the lack of resources that Era 2 showed us before, has gem society been forced to 'build' tools instead of 'growing' them? Is there a classist system, where only high-ranked gems have gems acting as tools? In Sentenced to Prism, each individual acted to create a society that supported a whole. But in Steven Universe, with the Diamonds, do we instead of a place where individuals support the rulers at the expense of NOT fully bettering society?
I wonder if the gems that aren't actually mineral gemstones in the SU lore are placed at a lower caste than those who are. For example bismuths and pearls are pretty much just a workforce for everything. Hell even the pebbles were disregarded by a pearl themself. Also, is the heart at the beach city temple a gem too? It would be creepy if it was. Also there was an episode where some of the machinery in an old, possibly Era 1 ship was actually powered by roughly cut gemstones.
Demantoid and Tsavorite garnets are both green and could have been in the room. Pyropes are the most famous “red” garnet and probably the ones our Garnet would most fit in with based on coloration.
The new fusion wasn't a jade, nor were the two new gems that fused, it was actually the hammerhead gems that greeted steven while he was sitting down. You could see that if you watch the show with subtitles.
No it's not why would a pink or orange or lavender gem fuse and make a green gem plus the hammer head gems mostly has it's gems on the their neck or chest. The new fusion has it's gems on their cheeks and it has the same dress theme on the green homeworld gems on the other side.
The concept of a male gem could have totally been used when we met the off colors. Like, imagine, a gem taking a masculine form rather than feminine and it disgusts their superiors who are pushing femininity on them and they decide to rebel for not being accepted as who they identify as. Lord, give us this gem baby
I have a cool idea about the hallway gems what if they have the The ability to pop out of the walls when they sensed danger or threat but most of the time they just stand inside of the wall to standard?
I really think the clothing or apparel the gems use explain a bit if their purpose. I believe those Thomas gems could run machines which their gear dresses
I’m kind of disappointed. It seems they just threw in random things to make it more interesting. Like, we NEVER heard of the pebbles, and we haven’t heard of sentient items besides Lapiz. Lapiz was made specifically to answer questions about the war, so the living hallway seems extremely random. The pebbles, as you said, don’t align with anything we know about gems.
Lapiz Lazuil gems are made to terraform planets not answer questions about war. Also, the pebbles do align with everything we know about gems as explained in the video. The wallway gems are extremely random though but we don’t know there purpose hence why it seems random.
When I mean Lapiz was made to answer questions, I mean our Lapiz that was placed into the mirror. She stated that homeworld thought she was a rebel and hence why she was asked questions she couldn’t answer. She was made into an object for a purpose. With the hallway, it doesn’t seem like they were gems originally, they were just made that way. And with the pebbles, the way they’re created still doesn’t align, and even the look of them.
@@Marixchatt I heard a theory from other youtuber that these living hallway bois and "cobboi" (OMGWHATIHAVEDONE) are alive due to big amount of **ahem**"Diamond fluids"(OMGWHATHAVEIDONE2) in the surrounding area. However the music boi and pepes around coud be just a typical music gems... we never seen one before so we cant tell if they always looked like this or if this is just from era 2 I dunno.
Pebbles seemed to be pretty nervous at first about being seen by anybody but Pink, so maybe all the pebbles were made by Pink. She certainly seemed the kind to do something off the wall like that As for the wall gems, they strike me as a security system. They can watch for oncoming intruders, and since they can move their arms, it isn't a stretch to assume they can detach and buy time for a Diamond to escape or for Jaspers and Quartzes to rush in and subdue the intruders
What if the 'boy' is just a butch? if indeed they'e all default female tho males are considered (WRONGLY) to be human default gender... even if EVERYONE IS BASICALLY FEMALE (XX=female Xy=male, all have X, even the male is mostly entirely their mother!!! I think this stone fits them the best, but we really don't know enough about them so they could be other gems.
I hope that Jade fusion is going to be okay
I hope they shatter them.
in the teaser they showed, the Jades did not appear among the gems that steven saved, he only took Amethysts, Pearl, Sapphire and Ruby

"Homeworld rocked our world". Yeah, pretty much sums up the series
@@Marixchatt True, but it also doesn't make sense for an undying race to reproduce so often.
I think it’s gem harvesting but for the purpose of imprisonment.
They arent a same gem fusion ???
The newest fusion is same gem fusion.
Garnet is a fusion of a Sapphire and a Ruby.
Thomas the tank gemgine
i wonder if any gems used for the buildings were gems being punished for some reason; since they look uncomfortable and we already know the diamonds have the power to change the form of gems and use it as a form of controlling/enforcing rules (like the corrupted gems on earth, or when white diamond turned the gems into grey mimicking beings)
Gems are technology for the Diamonds. They can create gems in the form they want
I believe the gem walls could be a subtle nod to miners, because when miners mine in abandoned caves they will talk about the walls potentially caving in and professionals often times call this “wall commotion” this may not be what they’re hinting at but it’s all I got.
Papa slice blessing us again with his uploads🙌❤️
Drastically different? I thought they looked pretty much the same
Sapphires are rarer than rubies in their world though
@@BB_Azurite - You know, that would explain why, even after being reset, Ruby knew she was assigned to Sapphire.
But where did the other ruby guards come from then?
I love how much everyone despises those poor ugly ass Thomas Gems lmao, poor barnacles
i thought the lil' gear gems were very pretty :( they're simple, sure, but imagine one of them being a rebel and able to hide perfectly within the crowd since they all look extremely similar!! it could make for a very good rebel oc in my opinion :0

If anything happens to Connie, there's going to be severe consequences to Homeworld.
cgGrizzlyB92HD she’s immune to destabilizes so that isn’t a problem, but I don’t see anything happening to her. I’d be more worried for the gems that *fused in front of two diamonds and a mind controlled pearl and are still poofed and vulnerable*
...if the writers say so.
I'll destroy Homeworld into little pieces for what can happen. I apologized to Yellow and Blue after the last fight months ago and now I feel betrayed again.
Some thing bad did happen to Connie. The negative side of the fanbase blamed her for ruining Stevens plan at ball.
She didn't ruin his plan. White Diamond did by not showing up.
Comby- Pebble
The yellow sentient walls- Sanidine
The yellow statues and fountains- Honey Calcite
The ones at 3:14 that seem to be ''in pain''- Imperial Topaz
The doors you said that kind of look like Pearl's- Yellow Danburite
The blue sentient statue carvings- Ceruleite
The werid singing disco ball thing with too-realistic looking hands- Ekanite
The litte green things surrounding the Disco ball thing- Ludlamite
"Now, Steven's bodily fluids providing sentience without his intention isn't entirely new."

@@mctoad1091 Thx :D
I’m pretty sure that episode was showing us where the fluid in the gem injectors comes from. Yellow diamond sweats hers off in a steam room extraction chamber and Blue does so in her bath. Similarly I do think the rock garden Steven sits in has absorbed Pink’s tears and that’s where the pebbles came from - though this time it was a common rock. If that’s so, then any moisture escaping the extraction chambers would make the area sentient.
Oh and quite possibly our Pearl is a rainbow pearl resulting from all of the diamonds being in Blue’s bath at the same time.
3:51
Is is weird if they are pretty cute in my opinion?😳
Same here.
THEY ARE ADORBALE
*They are so radient and exquisite*
They are really cute
Kinda
I'm not sure if the episode where she said this was out at the time this video was made, but at one point Yellow Diamond says "from the thin flake of mica, to the tallest, hardest stone." That makes me think... mica flakes are puny! What purpose would a gem *that small* serve? A single one of White Diamond's eyelashes would be a dang football field to them! Maybe they work together like ant colonies... it's gemsona time!
My favorite new gem is that little pebble always on Steven phone. It just reminds me of how a lot of children are nowadays.
the reason for these unusual variants is that the walls and statues are exposed to prolongued periods of time to diamond essence. the more essence it receives the more sentient and alive it becomes. stevens fluids are more filtered and organic, so when exposed to organic plant life, the plants become sentient, and autonomous. as for the case of lars, steven essentially brought life to a corpse. that corpse just so happened to have a brain that allowed for the transference of memory from th previous state to the new state. as for the clay boy that steven created, most likely it was originally organic.
the thomas gems are jades i found it out when i had the caption on and the two thomas like gems came and it said jade so i think half of the gems at the ball was jades
Ice diamond makes sense since Jades can be different colors
I'd debate that all of them are! The Gemstone of Jade comes in a variety of colors ranging across the hemospectrum. It's all dependent on what minerals were in their system, so to speak, when they were created. Sapphires are the same way! A pure sapphire is clear, but the impurities in it's formation give it varying colors, blue being it's most famous.
But why do they look different it seems like a waste of design for them to all be jades
Theres also the fact that the only new gem ro appear in the voice credits were "Jades"
@@xdmaverick6967 If they are all Jades, then id argue it-s like how Amethysts and Jasper are both kinds of quartz or how our Garnet and Hessonite are both kinds of garnets

i just thought like what if homeworld is a wasteland itself and they have gems as buildings bc they dont have any useful physical resources, like bismuths were made to build but dat was like era 1 maybe before pink so maybe they did have like resources to build off and with
Everyone be talking about whether yellow is wearing a helmet and here I am like: “Ey,what about white diamond too? Just imagine, she takes off her helmet and has a Long hair like blue.”
The Pebbles made me remember the time when the Crystal gems used the Rubies' ship to travel to Pink's zoo and there was a suze setting for this incredibly small gem. I suppose we now know what gem is that size!
Ooh! Good call!
Well I think the gems should be more alien anyways. Like I said not everything has to be like us.
The "Thomas" gems are an important metaphor for being a cog in the machine. They are playing their part and nothing more, as every "good" gem should.
HOLY...FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK
Would make some sense, actually. Blue resisted Yellow's electricity, and sure, one could say "She's powerful", but it looked the same as Steven resisting the destabilizers - The lines go up the body, but it never can manage to actually poof them. And on top of that, diamonds ARE carbon lattices, and carbon is a pretty key element in organic life
But they aren't familiar with the concept of needing to eat
Maybe they’re more like plants in the sense of they ‘feed’ off of sunlight or something.
A shapeshifted form that isn't larger than the gems normal size could probably be maintained indefinitely.
If it weren't for the moving eye statues, I would have thought that the statues were made, and then rebellious poofed gems were placed there.
What if the crystal gems and Steven team up with the "sneople" to defeat White Diamond? No one though of that I bet.
That kinda happend
I think the reason you didn't see any Homeworld Garnets is because of Caste, in that they wouldn't be seen anywhere near a Diamond, they'd be working at their intended purpose.
And now gem tampons
OwO
To catch all that sweet diamond juice
*Fresh juicy natural bile*
Want you to discuss the new promo that leaked for battle of heart and mind
When you said if the Comby's are exclusive to the Diamonds only that got me thinking that they're not. So then I imagined a bunch Comby's fighting in the Crystal Gem Rebellion. That would be funny to see.
0:38 why the hell does blue has a toothbrush?
Maybe it's not fir her teeth, but for her gemstone, to keep it polished and clean
Lol Hammerhead ass gears😂😂😂
the new pebble has a gem (the pebble) and an body of light (legs, arms, eyes, mouth)
Why did the gem locations on the new jade fusion change though?
The gem on the right had a chest gem, but both gems ended up on the fusion's face.
animation error
I still think the creepiest implication is that Steven also has magic piss. What has he brought to life in the sewers?
Demantoid and Tsavorite garnets are both green and could have been in the room. Pyropes are the most famous “red” garnet and probably the ones our Garnet would most fit in with based on coloration.
Wanna here a joke?
Who was the first gem to become president?
Thomas *GEM*-fferson
The new fusion wasn't a jade, nor were the two new gems that fused, it was actually the hammerhead gems that greeted steven while he was sitting down. You could see that if you watch the show with subtitles.
It isn't the hammerhead gems, I just check in slow motion.
No it's not why would a pink or orange or lavender gem fuse and make a green gem plus the hammer head gems mostly has it's gems on the their neck or chest. The new fusion has it's gems on their cheeks and it has the same dress theme on the green homeworld gems on the other side.
@The Fastest Taco their not their lavender and orange the new fusion is a jade
It was confirmed by the crewniverse that the new fusion is of two different Jade gems and is named Lemon Jade.
I think the Comby gem is either a statue or is just shapeshifting.
What is a Thomas gem?
That’s what he was referring the Jade’s as
The concept of a male gem could have totally been used when we met the off colors. Like, imagine, a gem taking a masculine form rather than feminine and it disgusts their superiors who are pushing femininity on them and they decide to rebel for not being accepted as who they identify as.
Lord, give us this gem baby
This is all so odd.. to say the least. How gems could just be walls and statues and the like. It's so weird but I want to see more!!
@Winter Ice Ooh creepy

Oh sorry about that misinterpretation about Lazui. There’s still problems as lapiz held valuable information rather than just looking pretty.
She certainly seemed the kind to do something off the wall like that
As for the wall gems, they strike me as a security system. They can watch for oncoming intruders, and since they can move their arms, it isn't a stretch to assume they can detach and buy time for a Diamond to escape or for Jaspers and Quartzes to rush in and subdue the intruders
What if all the pebbles in pink's room is from her crying from being sad about how the other diamonds were treating her
