Can’t wait for this build. Please show as much of the engineering process as possible.
Boys what a awesome project this is going to be killer
Old mate Dan from Vision trim shop is building a mad dog Cortina
Im going to share your video with him to rev him up haha
Take it easy Byron 👍
Dan's too busy drinking those 38 beers you gave him 🤣🤣🤣 or that the big fellas responsibility to pay up lol
Keen to watch Nathan paint that rocker cover something fancy haha. When you get to the haltech episode(s) i realise theres only so much detail you can go into while keeping it entertaining but would be very keen to see as much detail as possible. I'm terrified of wiring but would love to rewire one of my future projects with a nexus to get rid of all that gross 70s wiring, and videos like yours are great reference material. Cheers lads
Love the corti best car your building
Ahh Thursday you never disappoint.so keen for this build!!
Hackshop Garage, this brings back memories as my first car was a TE Cortina though not at this level as I was running an alloy head crossflow with a 5 speed. Out of interest who is the engineer that you are using, I currently have a TD Cortina which is going to get alot of work done, mainly body work currently and will need an engineer in the future.
G'day,
Looks like we have an awesome series heading our way.
✌️ Peace
So good to see the Cortina back 👍
Owwww hell yea a beautiful TE cortina running a turbo intech 😍😍😍😍😍😍you’re giving me ideas for my TD cortina six cylinder with the hump bonnet
make sure the stainless lines can not vibrate as stainless will easily work harden then crack. sounds great.
I'm really looking forward to seeing this build progress fellas 👍👍 it's gonna be sick!
My mate had a xf when we were 18 it had an old xflow race engine thing would chop everything on there road
Oooh yeah… fresh build. Keen to watch this series, just finishing up my build on turbo Xg SOHC.
This thing is going to be killer looking forward to watching the process nice work lads
Nothing beats a cortina
You will need a 25Mm Welch plug for the water pump and thermostat housing, my workshop Forman made a plate that uses the factory bolt hole and covers the heater hose on the thermosat housing and he used windscreen adhesive to seal it, it’s been hot plenty of times now and hasn’t leaked at all, and I used the 25Mm on the Water pump where the heater hose goes
Awesome, thank you for the tip mate
@@HackshopGarage no problem mate the thermostat will be a bit tricky hence why I needed getting a plate made but water pump and a socket 3 wacks and your done
Nice to know you hang the dunny roll the right way around!
another great one guys.
A Poor Man pays twice, when you have something with massive potential of going STUPIDLY FAST, planning is Key for GREAT SUCESS 😂😂❤❤
All hail the algorithm.
Love the show become a member today I will be doing pretty much exactly the same but the motor
Keen to see the Nexus install! Want to use one for my Turbo Gemini build wayy overkill but awesome tech 👍👍
Chances are you'll need a PD16 as well, the R3 doesn't really have enough high current outputs to run an entire car.
Going to need a pd16 aswell to run the full car without relays
Cortina with a Raceworks flute 🤣
Go Tina!!!
great job boys who's your engineer?
Just a thought boys, how big is the heat/cool unit your putting in & how much does the glovebox insert interfere with it. Knowing that could effect were you want the heltech
You’re on the money there mate. It’s something we do need to figure out before we can mount the haltech
The TE Cortina is the best model, absolutely love them 👍
Here is a video on how to port the cylinder head of the SOHC 4L 👍

It was my 2nd car after my gemini.. now I have an EV and a 1966 hillman :]
I like tc's myself. Dash is nicer.
Looking for to the build. As an aside, glad your changing the seats as they were the same that I had in my 77 Escort. Let's just say that the seat back frames were somewhat flimsy. Mark 1 Escort seats have much sturdier frames, but race seats are the ducks guts!
So how do you fill it with fuel
these cars are so good for accidental donuts
That fuel rail is in TE major! Nice planning episode.. you should plan to ditch that reverse cowl scoop... the 1990's called and want it back lol
cowl induction hood* it will send windscreen high-pressure air under the car along with all of the engine air that already goes under the car and causes lift and drag, just giving you the extra grey matter hp
I thought those fuel tanks which you put the efi pumps in have baffles? Seems half(but a bit neater) pointless having a pump in them to still have to run a surge tank?
Build it once! 🤣😂 That never happens 🧐
👍🏻👏🍺
hi guys do you know how that bonnet scoop works the air hits the glass an goes in the back of the scoop forces air into air clearer not a cooler for the engine bay
Hi boys I'm doing a cortina build as well mine is going to have a 9 inch turbo 400 and a fgxr6 turbo engine so I would love to bounce off you boys and get some help from u guys such as the boot floor is yours set up for coilovers and is your fuel tank still in or has the wheel well and fuel tank been removed
The log manifold wont have a problem making power, look at the OEM falcon barra stuff, they can make power they just dont sound good lol. Which imo the whole point of a inline 6 swap is how great they sound if it was me id run a promod style manifold just for the sound but hey its not my project.
How does it sound better? It all merges into the turbo.
@@Low760 Piping ID piping material length tubular style cylinder pairing and merge style all affects the note of an engine. If this is news to you i suggest you look into it, all affects the sound.
Any chance you can do a full video on the wiring
We will mate
With the ability to run triple in tank pumps what’s the need for a surge tank? Why not just stage the pumps with the haltech and tidy the boot more?
For drag racing purposes not a great deal of need for a surge tank, but they do help in the windys, as the tank may suffer some fuel slosh when low on fuel so the surge tanks keeps fuel to the engine constant. Not a huge need for it, but it just piece of mind even down the strip that fuel surge shouldn’t be an issue
Still won't only be built once 😂😂 never happens. Tell me I'm wrong 😅😅
Whats the deal with the raceworks seats? There is no mention of them on the website, catalogue or internet in general.
Might be a pre release sent out to who they're sponsoring for testing
@@GRUDGEPERFORMANCE yeah i think your right. Although hackshop and skid factory have had theirs for like a year or longer. Figured they would have been released by now?
@MRMOPARMAN0426 I can see EMS carparts have some rw seats on their site, doesn't seem to be an aus company perhaps there's some legalities still to sell them publicly in the aus market?
I'm seeing too many reports of fans causing failures in r3 and r5s, so maybe run them on relays...
It would be great to talk to you boys what is the best way for us to chat
Best way is to send us an email via our website mate
