I did a short recital of Tagore’s music with Bengali students when I was Musician In Residence at Queen Margaret University in Edinburgh. The students were studying Business and other subjects, there being no music department. One singer had studied Tagore’s music in some depth, and made sure we played in the style he would have appreciated. It was a very interesting recital.
