I started watching Justin Rhodes, and then found your channel when I began to look for what I could do here in Arizona. Thanks for all of the helpful information regarding Arizona!
Amber Morgan I found them the same way! I'm in Missouri though. This irrigation thing is bizarre. Here we are usually trying to get the water out of our yards. We had knee deep water in our street a few months ago.
It's so funny to read the comments and see how many people are confused on the irrigation system, and wanting to know more. I'm Roxanne from Michigan and I was them just a few months ago. Remembering how confused I was. You cleared that up for me. And you have another group that's curious people to teach. I am always learning from you.thanks
Im from Louisiana so the irrigation is fascinating to me. I've heard that Arizona's rain season is summer. But in Louisiana our rain season is year round. Your yearly amount of water, we can get in a day. Even more then your yearly we can get in a day.
You could also find something that will grow along that edge all along the edges. More specifically food bearing, that can withstand the sun/heat of your particular location. I don't doubt there's got to be something. 🌱Be Blessed ღ 🌼
With so many other families running into issues with their urban homesteads, maybe keep in mind that if God forbid something happens and your kind neighbor moves or whatever. A new neighbor may not be so kind and share. Then you've made your property dependent on something that could eventually change. Just a thought...I try to not depend on other's even though it's sweet your neighbor shares....
Looks like the extra water helped in your front yard. I'm like Tammy from below, I'm addicted to your video's. Feel like I've missed something if y'all don't have a video one day. I start looking for old one's I haven't watched in awhile. lol Have a good rest of the week and a wonderful weekend. :) Mechille
Are you able to have garden in your front yard? It would be nice if you put fruit trees in the front yard if you can not have garden. That area would produce a lot of food.
Love your videos. Ever thought about making goat's milk soap with loofah? Loofah grows on a gorgeous vine. It's fun to grow. Wishing I had some land for a mini-farm! =)
It is usually not the chickens that get complaints it is the rooster who is noisy and not needed unless you want to raise your own chicks. Check local bylaws, keep your flock small, keep their areas scrupulously clean/maintained and neighbors will have no reason to complain.
Acinomnieves3 We had chickens for about a year, but gave them away after we got a dog, and we didn’t get any complaints at all! Chickens don’t make too much noise, it is the roosters that do (like someone said above). But it also depends on things like, laws that your city might have, or if the neighbors don’t like even subtle noise
Do y'all only have one water gate. I have 3 and it takes one hour to fill up my rear. If your ditch check has alot of water flowing past it u should open another gate and set it farther down from your gates
Greetings from Cape Town, South Africa. Are you allowed to bury tanks in the ground to harvest some of the irrigation water? Also are wellpoints popular in your area.
kkg02122 For their pond, they will have to build a big birm to divert any water. I remember her explaining that in a prior video. I imagine everyone with pools has the ground level for the pools raised, and gets less water, like how their neighbor only wants 1 1/2 hours of time.

I love how everyone shares the house chores with no complaints, wish I can get my kids to do that

Wait, if you get irrigation like that, how are you going to manage having a pond in your yard? Just curious.
We're working on options.
Im from Louisiana so the irrigation is fascinating to me. I've heard that Arizona's rain season is summer. But in Louisiana our rain season is year round. Your yearly amount of water, we can get in a day. Even more then your yearly we can get in a day.
I love your videos especially the animals

That's nice of you Mechille!
Are you able to have garden in your front yard? It would be nice if you put fruit trees in the front yard if you can not have garden. That area would produce a lot of food.
That's our goal is to plant even more fruit trees in the front. We have about 10 now.
I love hearing the dove in the background. My neighbors shoot all of our dove in the neighborhood so I don't get to enjoy them.
You are my inspiration to helping and saving animals
100 degrees and a flood?! You have my sympathy.
Your videos are so calming 😊❤
Your irrigation fascinates me. Do y'all have a playlist?
Hi!! Loved the video!! Love irrigation day!!
LOL Kevin's milking skills rock 😎
wow that was hard work🌊🌊💦💧🌧
What's the point of Irrigation? Just wondering
Emma Browne they live in a city in the desert and it rarely rains so they have irrigation to water the garden
You guys are awesome!
You can increase height of your land... To prevent flood water in
They do it on purpose
You should tell Kevin he doesn't get any milk any more. Hahaha. Just kidding.
can you save any of the water? maybe pump it into storage bins for later use?
Hello,. Just a note time to trim hoofs ! Just saying😎
You guys are amazing
Could you design a coffee cup? Maybe have our favorite goats? O would love to buy those for holiday gifts
If u want to film the irrigation I would really recommend having a light to let us see what’s happening as it is too dark for us to see
we didn't know you can do this in a residential area.. you must be planning for alot of crops🖒🖒don't waste water now cause we all need it..😉

How do your neighbors like the animals? Thinking about getting some chickens but worried about complaints
I would 1st check zoning in your area. You wouldn't want to have to get rid of animals in the future, that you love...
Some of the neighbors have chickens too
It is usually not the chickens that get complaints it is the rooster who is noisy and not needed unless you want to raise your own chicks. Check local bylaws, keep your flock small, keep their areas scrupulously clean/maintained and neighbors will have no reason to complain.

PeeWee S every 2 weeks
you need one of those green colored night vision cameras
So in Harrogate shin how does the trains not get wet what if it leaks through the fence
I love ur family.. And farm cute nice too
Does the irrigation water drain away or soak into the ground? Did you sell the puppies?
It soaks in. Yes, we miss those puppies!
Leaving to go to Japan alone scared like if you like plane rides
What about the pond and fishes?
Greetings from Cape Town, South Africa. Are you allowed to bury tanks in the ground to harvest some of the irrigation water? Also are wellpoints popular in your area.
I need help with my goats how do I keep them in my fence what is a cheep fence
With the heat does it make it super humid
Can someone explain the irrigation to me ? Where does the water come from and won’t that standing water draw mosquitos and other yucky stuff
Watch the irrigation videos further back and we explain.
what is a irrigation and what dose it do for your Farm
Be kind to the invirement why you may say other people need it.
*when you’ve finished all their recent videos and every video so you watch 3 years old videos*
I’m really confused, what is Irrigation? Xx
What will happen with irrigation when you to the pool?
kkg02122 For their pond, they will have to build a big birm to divert any water. I remember her explaining that in a prior video. I imagine everyone with pools has the ground level for the pools raised, and gets less water, like how their neighbor only wants 1 1/2 hours of time.
Why need the floot ?
How are the puppies¿?
They are with their new families! Miss them!
I've been looking for the answer..... But why do you irrigate like this??? What's the purpose??
To water their grass
Why are some of your irigation times so late at night ?
What is irrigation?!?
Look back at one of our irrigation videos from a while back.
What happened to kitties and real emu?
I'm in Georgia...I don't understand this irrigation.
Laurie Hines it's basically just watering your lawn.
They have a video explaining it.
look back to the irrigation video
What caused the flood?
Did they sell the puppies ?
We did :(
O cant see a thing at all
I ment i cant see a thing at all
I’m so confused on why their yard is flooded
Save the bees
So they purposely flood thier yard? I live in Michigan so this is a foreign concept.
