I love how well organized his truck is .I bought my tool boxes from snap on around 1990 and I am still happy with my boxes the only problem is that it makes me keep buying more tools even if I don’t need them.
I custom ordered my ktl1022 in storm grey with the orange trim and the black out package I absolutely love it nobody makes tool boxes better then snap on
You mentioned drilling out bolts I found carbide straight flute drill bit are amazing although they are very expensive but worth every penny "they are about $60. each" but they go through anything you put in front of them. I think they are really supposed to be put in a cnc machine but they work in a regular drill to
My two big ratchets are the SLL80A and the SLX80A You are right about being the cats meow for sure. I bought the non flex about a year ago when I was replacing the bearings in a Dana 3rd member. Snap-on makes some fine ratchets no doubt about it.
Broken off bolts,we use the mig welder a lot for broken off bolt extraction.Basically weld a nut on the broken off bolt in an easy spot.Diesel would not leave my mom alone, she spoils other dogs with treats.
I have Snap-on Mondays, I picked up the 1/4 hex quick connect driver #CT725AQC when I hit that trigger all the way it's has a heck of a punch, got it at a great price.
I just bought a new royal blue split top with the blackout labels. I love it and the grey and extreme green. That black and purple is beautiful though!
I completely agree. The Matco locking mechanism is just a better design hands down. The finish on the Snap On ratchets is better than the Matco though.
I'll be honest. I had the longest matco 1/2", and a 3/8" long one, and a black 3/8" medium length, and 2 3/8" stubby matcos. I had an old orange hard handle set of snap on that was give to me. The 3 piece set. They were rough. I traded em in for long handled 1/2" snap on locking flex head and I'll not buy anther matco. I love both but the snap on is better to me. When I need 3/8" I grab the black medium matco. 9 out 10 times. If I'm needing 1/2" unless I have to really put out on a bolt a grab the snap on now. Though if I need to break a tough one loose, I get the super long matco. If that don't work I grab my 3/4" extendable ratchet. I hardly ever use 1/4" stuff. But I work on ag equipment, and tractors. So.
Mr Clay: I’d like to see what tools you think a “starter O/O” should have in their toolbox to do minor repairs & service on a Peterbilt 579 w/455 Pacar + 10sp Automated Transmission
Can you get that slide top roll cart any colors. Since you guys said focus on a good roll cart that was the first one I was gonna get and get like a Milwaukee box or something little bit cheaper.
Personally I really like the non locking flex head. Got so use to a non locking when I use a locking one and need to move its position I just go get a non locking. Plenty of guys call me crazy for that but hey to each their own.
When the new Snap on guy told me he don't have to warranty any tools he didn't sell I told him Mac and Matco guys were going to have every Snap on tool I own next week. He did change his mind.
Jeramy Schaub I’ve had more issues with Snapon’s tool reps than Matco and MAC combined. Snapon don’t mind their tool reps getting in way over their heads. That’s the difference. Matco is much more cautious about letting their reps get in over their heads.
Great video Clay. You let wild Bill know he’s got an open invitation to come up to my shop anytime to tap and drill out damaged bolts. Take care and I’ll see ya next week
I love Expensive Snapon tools but if you’re a franchisee you’re not your own boss. Snap-on can pull your franchise from you at any moment especially if you’re making too much money. They steal your route and make it a corporate route. You’re basically an employee that pays for the truck, fuel, your own taxes, accounting, sales tax, expenses, health insurance and you probably pay them an annual fee to be a franchisee. It’s the I get rich while you do all the leg work business model. Kind of like AAA, Uber and Lyft. Out of the 3 major tool franchises Snap-on seems to have more happy franchisees than Matco or mac tools. Those are worst for sure.
That’s not a fair statement because plenty of good mechanics have the older craftsman stuff and it really isn’t bad I do agree you need some precision tools to only be snap on but....
I have a good question for him does stuff you buy online go through the closest local franchisee for commission to you or is it just Snap On headquarters receiving the commission of the sale for online orders
@@KoonTrucking how do dealers feel if a family member of a guy at one of the shops on there route wants to buy stuff from them instead of buying online sorry about all the questions I'd rather help out the local guys rather than buying online if HQ is making the money and not them
I'm not a mechanic I'm a professional industrial electrician. but when I see a Snap-On truck in a mechanic shop .can I just pull over and go buy a hat from the guy cash or do I need an account?
Can you please get me the part number for the bigger locking flex ratchet Bill has??? I want the green one so his exact part number please!!!!! Awesome video as always boss man I really enjoy your content!!!! 🔥🔥🔥💯💯🤘🤘😎
i bet you my non snap on tools will still get the job done that mechanic coming to work with yall might nhave bills and cant afford to put hamiltons kids thru college like you
You know there are a lot of people who have more money than taste. The ability to mix and match colors is going to result in some butt-ugly tool boxes!
I love how well organized his truck is .I bought my tool boxes from snap on around 1990 and I am still happy with my boxes the only problem is that it makes me keep buying more tools even if I don’t need them.
Great SHOW. Still catching up watching all your old videos. Hamilton looks so young in this video... LOL
have all 3 sizes of locking and different lengths. awesome Ratchets, then again what ain't awesome about a Snap-on tool. Thanks Koon great vids
I think the dog looks forward to Snapon Friday as well, for his treat from Hamilton lol
He does !
Still love these old Snap On Friday videos. Lots more tool talk in these videos than the new ones.
I custom ordered my ktl1022 in storm grey with the orange trim and the black out package I absolutely love it nobody makes tool boxes better then snap on
Heck yeah ! That looks sooooo sweet ! Congratulations on that !
My Matco 6S is black, grey drawers, and orange trim. Grey on mine is darker, but still looks good on that one

Great Snap On Friday Mr.Clay as always, and in my opinion you got the best Snap On tool truck videos out of all the other RUclipsrs. Great Video Sir.👍
Well thank you very much ! I appreciate that !!
That grey box with the orange trim is stunning 👌🏻 that’s the one I would choose out the two ☺️
Hamilton has to be in the top 5 nation wide of Snap On dealers, thanks for sharing your videos!!
Clay did you get the awesome wood box full of goodies yet

That purple and black box is nice
I just bought a new royal blue split top with the blackout labels.
I love it and the grey and extreme green. That black and purple is beautiful though!
Yeah the black and purple looked great together. The video didn’t do that box justice. Congratulations on your new box.
@@KoonTrucking Thanks! I'm proud of it for sure..
Has 10cents added to his tool bill payment plan every week for Diesels dog treats haha
I thought you would like that one
Personally I like the Matco locking flex head better. To me it seems like Snap On let the interns design their locking mechanisms.
I completely agree. The Matco locking mechanism is just a better design hands down. The finish on the Snap On ratchets is better than the Matco though.

Y'all have great taste, look at you buying Seahawk green tools!
100 percent agree on the locking flex head ratchets from Snap-On
I've had my custom ktl series box for a month and a half, love that box.
Can you get that slide top roll cart any colors. Since you guys said focus on a good roll cart that was the first one I was gonna get and get like a Milwaukee box or something little bit cheaper.
Yes they come in all the colors and trim
That black and purple box 👌
Arturo Galindo My SO dealer had a KRL1022 in that scheme. It looks even better in person! Needless to say it barely lasted a week on the truck.
They do have the 1/4" ratchet in the speed handle it is part nu ber TSFL72 if I remember right.
What's the part number for those neon camo hats
What's the part no. on that 1/2" locking flex head comfort Grip
Hamilton used a Matco tools screwdriver to fix that ratchet.
Can I get one of those tool boxes in a Dull Wrinkle Red finish to match the Harbor Freight 5 drawer tool cart I bought in 2010??? ;-) Just checking.
Haha
Personally I really like the non locking flex head. Got so use to a non locking when I use a locking one and need to move its position I just go get a non locking. Plenty of guys call me crazy for that but hey to each their own.
Well i know what im ordering monday. Is that new ratchet. Both sizes. I can't wait
Is the dog a shop dog?
what stock number on the stub screwdriver. I would like buy one
I just put my ratchets on my muffler bending hydraulic machine and break them completely and they just give me a brand new one🤣🤣
When the new Snap on guy told me he don't have to warranty any tools he didn't sell I told him Mac and Matco guys were going to have every Snap on tool I own next week. He did change his mind.
Jeramy Schaub I would have told him to kiss my ass as well.

Wish it was recent, it's love.to get one of them hats, that he gets custom made
What’s the part number on the camo snap on hat
What the number on that crooked flex head ratchet bud
I love these videos man! Keep it up.
Nice job on tools
Great video Clay. You let wild Bill know he’s got an open invitation to come up to my shop anytime to tap and drill out damaged bolts. Take care and I’ll see ya next week
Haha i don’t know if he hates it more than i do but i know it SUCKS !
Very nice post and tools sir.
Another great video, diesel dog is number 1, second is wild bill, the new rachet with speed wrench hamdle would be great in 1/4 drive.
It is definitely handy
That first box was a little too much Tennessee Volunteer for me. 😂
Garbage fire orange

can you still get the older thinner style handles or are they all switching to the slightly bigger handles?
🤷♂️ i don’t know but i like the feel of the newer ones even better. I didn’t think i would but i have 1 that is the new style and it’s even better !
Thanks great video and I what to get my son a looking flex head ratchet long handle

I’m sure they had rather you purchase from them also. Dealers will be happy to sell to you if you are in their territory
I would shoot a testi through my jeans trying that jack challenge
Bully Bill 10:54
Come on now when youre on the Snap On truck a craftsman evolve is not a nice socket hahaa that was funny. A craftsman evolve.
Ok... Let's see, that ratchet will be 3,200 dollars 😆
I'm not a mechanic I'm a professional industrial electrician. but when I see a Snap-On truck in a mechanic shop .can I just pull over and go buy a hat from the guy cash or do I need an account?
They will be happy to sell you one especially if you have cash
How old is your dog?
9 months old
Does anyone know if I can change the guts from an older 3/8 ratchet to the new 80 tooth style internals? My dealer said it can’t be done.
I can they have change the selector switch also
Christopher Perkins thanks I appreciate it.
Love these videos !
My coworker just got that first box today
Sweet
Kinda ironic he buys the box and a few hours later I watch snap on Friday and see it again
thanks 4 snappy video
Hey Bill.are you going to writing a joke book.😁
Shit send me a snap on dealer that’s worth a damn down here in Florida mines a lot like your old matco guy
That really sucks
New use for a ratchet..? Bill
Can you please get me the part number for the bigger locking flex ratchet Bill has??? I want the green one so his exact part number please!!!!! Awesome video as always boss man I really enjoy your content!!!! 🔥🔥🔥💯💯🤘🤘😎

Wish I can afford them but never can
Cant hate on that guy he's trying to atleast work instead of sitting on his ass. Look at them people who just want to live off the government
