The Makita track saw does that from the factory and fits the standard Festool D27 connector.
You can turn the port and it locks in place every 90 degrees. Its also cheaper, even the 40V version... You also only need 1 battery.
Thanks, that's helpful to know. BTW, this Festool track saw can also run on one battery. Just not as powerful on one battery, but at least you can keep going. 😀
I concur with everything you've said. So much easier and better. Thanks again, Colin. 👍👍
Thanks Chris. Have a great holiday break.😀
Question: Does your hose fitting allow the lid to close on the systainer? I know that if I don't rotate the dust port down in the systainer then the lid won't close properly. So I wonder if making it rotatable allows it to fit in the systainer and close as well as changing the direction of the hose in use.
Hi Larry. I'm glad you asked. Yes, the systainer lid does close. This was an important part of the design because I keep mine in a systainer whenever not in use. I solved this problem with the original MK1 version...watch here at 5:10 ruclips.net/video/k4AHY9CDpvk/видео.htmlsi=d-BjZchSnzVvDPjY&t=310 This design is also now up to MK3 with further improvements and made from toughened resin for better impact resistance and service life. ruclips.net/user/shortsVm3-ePhLelY For more information on how to get one, visit this listing www.ebay.com.au/itm/325764338198 Thanks for your question, and have a great day. 😀
Do you have your own resin printer Colin? Merry Christmas!
Hi Nial. Yes, I do. It's on the bench, hiding behind the saw. Merry Christmas to you too. 😀
Nice solution! Great video as well! Greetings from Belgium, Christophe
Thanks for your kind feedback. Greetings from Australia. 🇦🇺
Hi Colin, This is a brilliant design to a problem I am thousands of others face daily. Shipping to Europe however seems to be as much or more than the part which is prohibitive. I run a company that could produce these under license here in the UK and ship across Europe. Would you be interested in teaming up? James
Hi James. Thanks for your feedback. I really appreciate it. I do acknowledge that postage from Australia to Europe and the USA is very expensive. I'm using the best rates I can. And you're also not the first person to ask this question. Perhaps we can continue the conversation on info@colinklupiec.com
@@ColinKlupiec Hi Colin, thanks for the reply. Tried to email that address 3 times and it keeps bouncing back. Is it correct? James
Hi James. So sorry, yes there was a typo in that address. The correct address is info@colinklupiec.com . BTW, I also edited the previous comment to fix the error.
@@ColinKlupiec fingers crossed this time, not had a ping back yet
Did you guys manage to work out a deal to make these in the U.K.? I’d like one too. Thanks!
Easy as that. Looks good too.
Hey, thanks for your comment. Maybe I can spend a bit more time making some other stuff now 😆 . Have a great holiday season.
Onya Colin for making a great way of upgrading an annoying fititng
