Bought the Ace system earlier today. Thanks for the good info. Used the 20% military discount. Total with a years subscription and the pistol controller was just over $300.00. The great thing is that I was immediately able to download the program and play the game with just the Quest 3 controllers. So I didn't have to wait for the pistol to get shipped to me. The range challenges and Mixed Reality games are great. So many different options. Thanks again for bringing this game to my attention.
Thank you. I have been looking around to find something to keep my skills up in the cold and indoors, I really thing this would help my kids and me stay proficient. Thanks
I've heard people object to the subscription, but it's about a case of 9mm, and I shoot WAAAY more than that a year. I bought the ace based on your previous video showing you moving through a stage. Had it for a few days. Incredibly happy with it. Can't wait to get out to the range to see how much the new dry fire practice regime affects real world performance.
Ive been very interested in this and have been doing alot of research. The only thing holding me back now is the fact they dont have the 2011 legacy controller anymore. I run 2011 in matches i also run a 2011 for daily concealed carry. Since you are sponsored by them Please tell them to come back out with the 2011 legacy handset. I dont own or shoot sig and never will own or shoot sig. So this can ultimately be worse for my dry fire training. 😔
Appreciate the video. Watched a bunch of them to get a good idea of weather to buy one or not for practice as I just started to shoot ipsc in Australia . Just ordered one and used your code , hopefully you get a kickback mate . Might see you online one day. Thanks mate for the video
Excellent video. Thanks for sharing. My sweetheart bought me a Quest 3 for Christmas. She also bought me the GAIM VR Complete Simulator package that comes with the pistol and rifle setup. A lot of money up front. But I was able to hunt and range shoot for most of the winter without spending money on ammo, range time, game tags, and fuel for travel. And just like the ACE folks, there's a lot of room for improvement and expansion by simply adding to the program. We also have the Smokeless Range computer and projector system set up in the garage. It's a lot of fun as well. Especially with the Mantis Blackbeard auto-reset rig. When the winter weather goes away, we train in the back yard with CO2 blowback BB pistols and AR's. They are heavy like real firearms, and the blowback makes it more realistic. Been trying to figure out how to put a laser in a blowback BB gun. Or get a blowback gun to work with the Quest shooting programs. But I think I'm gonna use your discount code and try this ACE program out. Thanks again for sharing your knowledge and time It is much appreciated.
Picked this up a couple weeks ago after seeing a review. It really is an innovative system. Looks like they are working on adding additional stages and shooting drills. Thanks for the video
Just got mine, thanks for the review. It's a fun system for sure! I need to get one of those Racer-X holsters, but not sure which model to order. I have the 2nd generation controller gun...the all-white model. Can you give me a clue as to which of the Racer-X Gun Types will work for the ACE gun? Thanks again!
lol wish this existed a few years ago when I invested in Smokeless range/add ons as its much cheaper. Though Smokeless has no monthly fee's you just own it. Smokeless Range is done on a projector screen so your not getting the full 360 feel like you can with VR though. Can you create your own courses in this?
@@slowlowadventures you can record in there a couple of different ways. Use the “0” button to pull up the menu, or cast it to your phone and screen capture
I’ve got the 128, since I don’t really use it for anything else, and it’s fine. I think unless you’re going to have a lot of other games downloaded it’s good.
I just got the sub and the controller for like around 360$ with a coupon code. But i dont understand why people are saying the controller is included in the subscription, it is not, it is a requirement, you have to buy it separately, subs is 14$x12 for a year, and you have to get the controller for 200$, am i missing something here?
I was looking at this. You said a years subscription comes with the controller....when I put it in my cart it adds 200 to the price for the controller.
They should have made the vr controller with recoil and magazine functional etc i dont understand why they didnt this. In my opinion it may impact muacle memory negstivly over time if using this training tool alot. 😊
There’s no recoil in conventional dryfire either but all the top shooters dryfire daily. This has multiple advantages over that: the dot or sights visibly track as if there was recoil, which aids in the visualization aspect of dryfire, and there is instant feedback on your hits, which conventional dryfire lacks. I use this daily, and my skill has increased in livefire as a result.
Still hesitant on buying this. They have pistol controllers with hapic feedback and much closer weight to a real pistol. Also the price is over the top considering its a subscription service. Good review tho!
The “sig” controller has a modular FCU. They’ll be coming out with housing to match all the popular guns. And people are already 3D printing them as aftermarket items.

I just ordered this. Will take a month to get the gun controller, but I’ll wait. It looks fun and like a great tool.

I’d really love an option for something that resembles my ruger max 9 carry. I wonder if they have any plans to do a sigp365 style micro controller.

I run the gen 1 controller out of my holster. ACE is releasing their own holster for the gen 1 soon.
@@greybeard_actual thank you, sir! Standing by to hear more about that...perhaps from ACE when it's ready for prime time.
Very useful review! Thanks for doing this!

It's funny I found this video today. I seen your name on the leader board earlier.
What comfort strap & battery pack combo are you running? Outstanding video! Thank You!

ACE is great can't wait for glock controller
Great details, thank you!
What holster is that? Ace should offer the holster that fits their replica pistol
I use a double alpha race holster for owb. Ace is going to be making one.
know any holsters that fit their staccato p handset? just purchased from this video. thanks

Great Video. Question - is the 128MB meta quest 3 sufficient as compared to the 512GB. Acexr seems to recommend the 512
I’ve got the 128, since I don’t really use it for anything else, and it’s fine. I think unless you’re going to have a lot of other games downloaded it’s good.

@@greybeard_actual thanks for the response....Now I have to ask myself Meta 2 or Meta 3......
They are charging for the controller again now? I remember for a while it was included.
The controller is still included AFAIK
@@greybeard_actual I had to pay $200 for it today :(
I just checked, and you’re right. They separated out the controller and the subscription.
@@greybeard_actual I saw you on the leaderboard for the daily challenge last night! Good stuff!
Can the pistol chassis be used for any other shooter type games?
I think there’s one it can be used with but not most of them. Not a gamer so I don’t really know.
@@greybeard_actual I appreciate the quick response. God bless.
When drawing your pistol do you have to hold a bottom?
Not sure what you’re asking…

The controller was included at first as introductory pricing. I didn’t realize that when I made the video.
how does movement work in this game? does it move automatically or do u have to run like ur in an actual stage?
You move like you would in a stage in a match, or use the joystick to teleport. Obviously for training the real movement is better.
I would be super interested to talk to someone who has play this and GunClub VR to see what they liked better … I out 100’s of hours into GCVR
@@dtsenear no idea about that app sorry
Do you experience any lag in the game using the meta quest 2? I had heard that was an issue and I’m reluctant to drop 500+ on the 3
The only time it lags for me is when I don’t have a good wifi signal
I was looking at this. You said a years subscription comes with the controller....when I put it in my cart it adds 200 to the price for the controller.
I didn’t know when I made the video, but that was their introductory deal. The handset is now separate. It’s still worth it.
@@greybeard_actual thanks

So a 2011 or Sig, but not a Glock. Makes no sense.
