    For tying plants to a support, I often use slices from old pantyhose. They're stretchy but strong so they hold the plant gently without cutting into the stems.

    • @lindsey4178
      @lindsey4178 11 месяцев назад +4

      Yes! Thank you so much for the tip. I know a lot of people use the green velcro but I'm not a huge fan of how it looks on the poles/supports.nude panty hose is sheer and I think I could make look much better since it will somewhat blend in. Also, I wouldnt have to worry about the weight of the plant making tension and dig into the plant.

    I would recommend for tree fern totems to cut the package completely open and spray down with a spray bottle to help the dust while handling! and then I soak it before potting it up! That’s what I do. Good luck!! ❤

    I've always soaked the moss poles and coir poles I've used before for about a minute in a bucket before I add it to the pot, it's definitely awkward when it's dry lol

      I also squeeze the poles while they soak so the water can get to the center easier

    Hello, i build mosspoles with plastic water bottles that i attach and pile up as if they were stackables and it work because when my plants grow i just have to poke new holes for the new roots and that's pretty much all, and i water like once a week it's super handy.

    Hey! I love your videos and vibes 😊❤. For when start outgrowing that pole what if you stick like 3 wooden sticks the ones for barbecue halfway in that way you can connect another of those poles on top just make sure to wet the pole first so is easy for you to put the small wooden sticks to it. Take care ❤

    Hi, I watched a couple of videos where they tested tree fern fiber and all of them didn´t like the pre-made totem thing. To me it sounds like it too much compacted and acts more like a coco coir pole. But if you have the loose tree fern fiber that seems to be really nice and you can mix it with moss if you want.
    Other than that if you have a moss pole that has a closed back and it not too skinny then it stays moist for a few days and you can water it quite stress free with a bottle on top of the pole.

I don't really want to use mosspools myself, plastic/wooden sticks are not really suitable, I use coconut fibre tubes at the moment but without a heavier cover the pot falls over (I didn't think to put something in the middle of the tube or the pot itself on the bottom.
