I ate candy and Coke almost daily, for school lunch my mom would pack a peanut butter/marshmallow/jelly sandwich, a Hostess cup cake and a small bag of Fritos. You get the idea. Breaking the sugar addiction in 30 days is not exactly the truth. I may not eat sugar anymore (carnivore diet) but that doesn't mean I still don't crave it 24/7. Yes, without sugar I am losing weight, feel healthier, more alert, more awake, etc etc. But don't gloss over the addiction part. There are good days & bad days. There is a difference between sugar cravings and sugar addiction. Of course we will crave sugar. But someone being addicted it feels like you have no power at all over eating it. Something has taken over you and allowing you to over eat sugar knowing darn well you honestly don’t even want it. But you feel forced to eat. This video is to break the addiction. Your problem might be related to the fact that when you eat too much protein the body makes glucose out of protein…. Instead of change to get fueled on ketone… so basically you are still “on sugar”. i’ve been without sugar for two months now. the fatigue i used to experience is gone and my mood has stabilized. my body feels more at peace. it’s absolutely worth it.
After about 20 months of being as sugar free as possible my biggest change is I never need any anti inflammatory medication like Advil or aspirin or Tylenol. I used to live on them. Haven’t taken any in a year. I’m simply never sore.
I gave up sugar (and all sweeteners) for a month and never went back because I felt so much better. That was almost 8 years ago. I started on a Friday and I won't lie, that first weekend was rough, but by Monday afternoon I felt like laughing at nothing and dancing down the aisles while grocery shopping because I felt so good. I had one treat at a family get-together after my 30 days and felt so poorly afterwards that I decided I was sticking with my no sweets diet for life. I bring my own healthy snacks for holidays and birthdays, etc and it doesn't bother me at all to skip the cakes and cookies because I know now what they were doing to me. I used to be a sweets addict with the matching mood swings. Get off the sugar roller coaster, you will not regret it!
@@cindyaffinati6839 I will bring Greek yogurt with vanilla extract mixed in or chia seed "pudding" that I make myself or if I am feeling really extravagant, I whip a cup of whipping cream with vanilla and in a separate bowl whip up an eight ounce brick of cream cheese and then blend them together and make 4 little bowls of "ice cream". Since I don't use artificial sweeteners either, I can really taste the natural sweetness of foods so I don't miss the added sugars. For appetizers, I hang out by the veggie tray. 😉
Dr.Becky I am 71 years old and I have been addicted to sugar all my life. I am now prediabetic and I need to stop. I do not feel well at all and I struggle with many symptoms. I have been able to quit sugar for 13 days then I failed. Its like an alcoholic. It takes only 1 drink for them and it takes only 1 cookie for me. After watching this video I am determined to do 30 days and hopefully stay sugar free for the rest of my life. Thank you so much for all your precious advises.
Dear Kathy Kay: NEVER GIVE UP. I keep telling myself this. I lost 80 pounds and my problem isn't with sugar, but with pizza. I'm trying to cut my habit of eating pizza every month.
You can do it! I used to think about how good the cookie or whatever would taste but now I think about how I will feel if I ate it. Short term pleasure leads to longer term regret! You got this!!
In giving up sugar/flour a few years ago, I was at 230 lbs and last week weighed in at 176 lbs. It is so great being away from that drive to be addicted to sugar and all their cousins!
My food/sugar addiction led me to develop type 2 diabetes, i have been insulin dependent for more than ten years but thanks to help from God i have radically changed my eating habits and lost over a 110 lbs and am on track to lose another 50-75 lbs. Sugar has been one of my greatest weaknesses over the years and i am going to do sugar free for thirty days and try my best to just live completely sugar free. Bondage to food/sugar is as bad as any drug, IMO.
Thank you so much for consistently sharing great information! I never EVER thought that I could truly give up sugar and not be miserable. But it’s happened. I’ve lost 54 pounds over the last year sporadically doing intermittent fasting - but the majority of it (35 lbs) has happened since Sept when I got serious about giving up sugar. It doesn’t bother me one bit to sit next to someone eating my former favorite sweets. The BEST part is no pain. I was nearly to the point of walking away from photographing weddings because by the end of an eight hour wedding day, my joint and muscle pain was awful. Did I mention it’s GONE? The struggle is worth it. For me, mindset has been the key. Instead of feeling sorry for myself that I “can’t” have sugar, I’m so thankful that I now have the knowledge that’s changing my health and giving me new life. Good for you. I’m into my 1 month sugar free lifestyle. Went to party with plate of toll house cookies in front of me. No cravings at all. I did this before when diagnosed with uterine cancer (cancer-free). My problem is if I have sugar again the cravings start. So happy for you.
The desire really never goes away for me - I went the last few years doing a great job with sugar - and this year I am back at it like crack! Not sure why but man it is powerful.
Thanks for the video. As a person who tried a vegan diet for a while l can say that the scariest thing about quitting sugar is that these things are actually lifestyle changes. We need to realize that major dietary changes may mean that we can no longer eat at most restaurants, eat most food served at events or parties, cafeterias, etc. This makes it especially hard for children who are almost coerced to eat these foods when they're away from you. So the real question becomes, "Are you willing to change your lifestyle?"
I did a 40 day sugar fast a few years ago and it changed my life. It fixed so many health problems and some I didn't realize I had. I got myself back addicted to sugar a few times since but never close to where I was before. I've done sugar fast several times since and they always make me feel better, but never as drastically as the first time since I never went back to as much sugar as before.
I’ve got a very sweet tooth and know, from a lifetime of experience, that sugar is the culprit for my yo-yo weight gain. so let’s see how we go! I usually find that cutting out bread and cereals works well, and eating lots of soup will keep me full for longer and it’s a strategy I’ve used in the past. I’m a vegetarian and love eating plant based food, but I’ve been in the habit of snacking on stuff I know isn’t good for me. Discipline is needed and I’ll do my best to follow Dr. Becky’s advice to rid myself of sugar cravings. Hopefully it will also help me shed the ten pounds I’ve put on in the last few months too! I started my ‘sugar-free’ journey on Sunday 12 February 2023, and will report back in 30 days. The calendar has been marked! I’m sure anyone reading this will wish me luck! 👍
I have been sugar free for the better part of 2 years, no more brain fog, no more fatigue, no more joint pain, and i lost 24 kilograms in 10 months. What more can u ask for?
Pray for me guys. My day 1 will be tomorrow. I’ve done this before that’s why I know how hard it is. Everytime I’ve done it, I always have recurring dreams of eating sweets which sounds funny but it’s not. I feel awful without it, even emotionally. Like a child who is being deprived of what it wants. For me I would say the first 3 days are the worst. Wish me luck ❤
I'm doing it. I'm starting tomorrow cutting out added sugar. I want to break the addiction to sugar that I've had my entire life, so I can feel and look better. Thanks, Dr. Becky!
Today was day 8 for me. First time in my adult life to live without added sugar. Unfortunately, I was upset and went to local coffeehouse& had a sweet drink....tomorrow is day 1 again...onward😊
We've been doing pretty good for a month. I'm down about 10 lbs, my wife is down about 5 (I've got way more lbs needed to lose than her) We're doing 2 meals a day and our hunger overall has decreased so much that it's hard to imagine being able to eat 3 meals a day. Great teaching from you Dr B. Thank you!
I do intermittent fasting, 18:6 and low-carb.I cut sugar from my diet back in October with absolutely no issues. I have colitis and since changing my eating habits, my IGAs have been virtually back to normal since I was diagnosed 30 years ago. I have also suffered with migraines several times a month from the age of 18, and since changing my eating habits I have not had a single migraine. It just goes to show that you really are what you eat! I am now the grand old age of 52 and I’m peri-menopausal. However, I have better mental clarity and energy than I did 20 years ago! An added bonus is that I am now 36 lb down since the 1st of October 2022. Thank you for your inspiration and guidance Dr Becky. I love your content and your practical advice has really helped me.
I finished my 40 days no sugar (or added sugar in first 5 ingredients) yesterday. I always use an app to track my food and nutrition numbers. Today I had a planned sweet that I had purchased about 2 months ago(Organic peanut butter cup). Split one two pack with my husband. Well. That was an eye opener. Very underwhelming. I’d rather have fruit! So back to no sugar. Another 30 days starts tomorrow. Then I will evaluate whether I even want to choose an item off my plan. If my answer is nah I’m good….back in for 30 more I go. I think having a set number of no sugar days and then a choice or break day, will work nicely for me. The nutrition cavalry isn’t coming….I am my own cavalry. I am very glad you posted the idea in a previous video.
Thank you Dr Becky for your help. I did your 21 day challenge back in the beginning of October 2022. I lost 8 lbs in the 21 days. It was the first time I had seen the scale move down in a very long time. I was so excited that I continued the Low-Carb life style changing from burning carbs to burning fat. I’m now down 20 lbs from when I started and feeling GREAT! Your recipes were delicious and it inspired my husband to also cut his sugar intake. Your clarity in teaching how to eat (what to include and what to avoid) helped me to eat a salad for lunch every day and enjoy it so much I crave it and best of all it keeps me full all afternoon! O,1,2,3 is the way to be!!! Thank you so very much ❤️
I started my sugar free diet on Thursday 2nd Feb. Its now one week in. It was tough the first several days I had terrible headaches. I still have fresh blueberries on my daily bowl of oatmeal and half an apple sliced up in the oatmeal too. I guess they do add a little sweetness but I take them more for antioxidants and the fibre as I am wanting to lower my cholesterol too. But of course they are natural sugars, not processed. I am feeling slightly better just this last week. I seem to have better clarity and a more stable mental awareness. I have to say I am peeing a lot more, like every hour and not sure why that is but I read that this can happen when you give up sugar, I guess more toxins being eliminated which is good. I am a very determined person so will def keep going with no sugar. I finally realize how dangerous sugar is to the human body and as my daughter is getting married soon I want to be around to one day enjoy grandchildren. No pleasure from a sweet treat can match the pleasure of knowing I am being the healthiest I can be.
I’m no longer sugar addicted but believe I’m still Carb Addicted. Watching the Carb Addiction Teacher channel and Carb Addiction Doc channel has reinforced stopping the sugar addiction. Now I’m more motivated- cut out Stevia completely. Tyvm!
I know I need to do it but I’m married to someone that buys lots of candies lots of pastries lots of junk food I was able to be strict on my diet when I was into fitness but since I lost the ability to walk I’m finding it hard to have that self discipline my hubby keeps saying you only live once why not enjoy yourself so see I have a hurtle to climb emotionally to give it a go but I feel like God has found this channel for me so there must be the time to give it a go . I’m trying to watch all ur videos to get more I spired to go on this journey myself hoping my hubby will join me soon
These videos are so crucial for the first few days of sugar withdrawal OMG. I'm going back to a sugar free life after having a ten year sugar binge. I can't wait to feel like I used to. I'm on day 28 and I already feel like a different human from last month
Thank you for the rules Dr. Becky!!! I have been wanting to give up sugar for so long but every time i tried, i was laughed at because "that bbq sauce has sugar in it, i guess you gave up" or "you are having creamer in your coffee?? I thought you were giving up sugar🙄". It was a never winning, always losing battle. Thank you for these rules!! December 1, 2023 is my day one.
Hi Dr. Becky .. I NEED to follow your plan ASAP! I am planning to begin tomorrow. I have been craving sweets more and more 😕 just turned 65 and weigh 20 more than I used to .. I feel so tired all the time 😢 will keep you posted on my progress 🙏🏻
I have cut alcohol from my life completely, haven't had any since Oct. 2022. At first, maybe I felt like I was missing out a bit, but I really haven't had any issues at all with it. Now sugar. sugar sugar sugar. I understand completely what cutting out sugar can do - I cut sugar and carbs for 2 weeks and was shocked at the results. I had what I thought was tendonitis in both of my arms from years of typing/computer mouse usage but amazingly, the pain disappeared! I could not make a fist at all with my right hand, my fingers wouldn't bend all the way and now I can actually make a fist! I KNOW that, I experienced self-healing, I have actual proof what inflammation from sugar can do and yet...I struggle daily with sugar cravings. If I even have a tablespoon of chocolate chips I am DONE. It's 1000% harder to deal with than alcohol. I've started watching these videos Dr. Becky has made, along with others, daily. It's like my sugar AA daily meetings! I know sugar=pain, not to mention how ill I feel after consuming it but I can't seem to stop. I have to keep it out of my house but living with family it can be hard. It's crazy that for me, sugar is soooooo hard to get over!
Great video. I indulged a little between Christmas and New years and felt lousy and knew it was the sugar thant I normally dont eat. . I'm feeling great again. I gave up alcohol about 10 yrs ago and quitting sugar was definitely harder for me. It can be done. Stay strong and focused.
I think alcohol is really a sugar addiction. Check out any Dunkin Donuts. Ex alcoholics hanging out drinking coffee, smoking and eating sugar. Since quitting alcohol I am having major sugar cravings. Time to cut the sugar.
I will join the February 1st group to stop eating sugar. I was thinking about my hip and joint pains as I was walking today. It's amazing that Dr. Becky's info came up when it did. It's time to kick sugar to the curb!
Dr. Becky, I'm so glad I came across this video. Today is Day 5 for me, following your plan as outlined here. I started on my 66th birthday! I figured that was as good a day as any to begin my 30 day challenge. After 4 days, I feel better! I sleep better, I actually feel my hunger now, and my outlook is better. I have often enjoyed a glass of wine with dinner, but felt that I always wanted it. I wanted to be free of that feeling, so I stopped that at the same time. You are very encouraging. I like how common-sense your videos are, full of valuable facts and helpful hints. And it is personal because you've been through this. I am on my way!
I stopped eating when I found out about my gestational diabetes. It was almost 20 years ago. I don’t eat anything processed and any type of sugary foods including fruits like grapes, mangoes etc. I crave sugar so much to this day that I tell myself this my test in life and I have to be steadfast. I become prediabetic after my baby was born and I’m now diabetic for many years. Taking medicine for diabetes from a very young age I really feel like I’m cursed because I’m always tempted to eat something sweet. Am I not normal?
Joining the Feb 1 group! I’m a few days away from being at the full dosage of Saxenda to help with weight loss and the impact on my appetite has been amazing. It’s so much easier now to implement all the good habits I struggled with before. Don’t crave sweets at all but have been snacking at night on chocolate chips out of habit. Alcohol holds no appeal. IF comes naturally now. This med has been a real game-changer for me and I’m ready to go sugar and flour-free. Good luck to all of us!
Thank you Dr Becky for this video! I’ve followed these rules and have been sugar free for 40 days and my life has changed! Alongside intermittent fasting, I lost 4.5kg in the first month. I feel great and I don’t think I’m ever going back to all that sugar. I’m going for 365 days because it’s become so easy! Thanks for all your help!
I just did the 30-day challenge (10/1-10/30) and lost 13 lbs! 🎉 I highly recommend the book. It has all the information you need, and the daily motivations really helped me get through the 30 days. Thank you so much, Dr. Becky for this video and for your book! ❤
Thank you, Dr. Becky. I needed a brief, intelligent, inspiring video and this was it. I started no-sugar on 10/19 and now it's Day 6. I have lots of fresh fruit and no sugar cravings. My face is clearing up and my energy feels different. Better!
I took sugar out of my diet 11 months ago. I also started Keto. However. If I see a photo of a cake or cookies etc I instantly crave it. I have frozen green grapes if I really need something sweet. That desire has never gone away. I don’t eat fruit or drink fruit juice. I do keep crystal light handy. My sugar addiction isn’t what it use to be & that’s great. What’s changed, I lost 70lbs on Keto, that is something no other diet could help me w. I automatically do intermittent fasting. I seem to eat 2 meals most days. I also noticed that I use much smaller plates when eating. Like any addiction I’m wondering if that bump in dopamine is missing in the brain because of the lack of sugar because my brain lights up just from seeing a photo of pastries? I see Keto recipes of desserts & I know I can’t make them. I’ve stopped sugar a few times in my life, so I’m looking at this as one day at a time scenario for me now
I suspect the Crystal Light is keeping your sugar addiction alive. Artificial sugars make us crave the real thing, like drinking a diet Coke & then eating a Snickers bar.
This videos right on time. I wanted to start on February 1st , for my quitting sugar goal! Especially because I’ve been obsessed with doughnuts. Thanks 😊
Iv given up once b4 for 8 months, I was very nauseous 2 to 4 wk,, although so many benefits, sadly over the last 2 yrs if creeped back in I’m ready to do this challenge again will start now thank you
Day 5 sugar free now. The feelings of hardcore punishment have melted away. I had a PROFOUND realization on Day 4 that sugar free takes away the confusion of hunger, so my body is now an accurate measuring tool for when I want to eat. I am SOLD, and I look forward to more new changes.
I'm starting today 10/8/24. I'm fed up with the weight gain and have already had my blood glucose levels be too high. I was able to get them down by walking more and drinking more water, but I am now ready to let go of sugar. I'm sure it'll help me shed excess fat and make me feel better overall. Thank you for the tips.
oh my try sugar free jello packets with yogurt. like the flavored jello packets, put the powder in the yogurt; it tastes soo good. i put other powdered stuff in there like Mg, an fat soluble powders with full fat yogurt
I'm giving up sugar for Lent this year. Ash Wednesday (day 1) will be Feb. 14, though I'm going to start tapering off sugar in preparation starting this Monday.
I've been thinking for a long time about what sugar is doing to me. Active guy with energy downs and aching joints. Probably is the sugar. Feb 1 seems like a good time to try this.
Wow, reading these comments gives me hope. I eat so much sugar I can't picture myself not wanting it. I really hope I can do this. I know it's horrible for my immune system, my weight, my self-confidence, my health overall. It just seems unattainable. To hear you've given it up FOR GOOD?!?! 😳😳🤯🤯🤯
Dear Dr. Becky, I am so grateful that I found you! We’re videos are not only inspiring, but they’re so educational. I am definitely seeing results now from changing my whole diet. You have given me a path to reach my health goals! Every day I listen to one of your videos.
I’ve stopped eating “regular “ sugar but have been trying an array of alternative sugar like stevia, allulose, monkfruit and erythritol but I’ve been thinking even though there’s claims for them not to raise your sugar, it still keeps me craving sweets. So I’m going to attempt to cut those out as well.
I know sugar is a big problem for me. I have tried giving it up and will go about 5 days or so but I do it by overeating in general, not sure if the balance is worth it.
Dr. Becky, I have a quick question about no sugar for 30 days, can I allowed to eat a mango, fresh, mango, apples, strawberry 🍓? Thank you so much I cannot wait for you to answer me. I want to start doing this Monday.
I quit smoking drinking but quitting sugar is a night mare. I don’t eat or cakes or candies. I am just heavily addicted to chocolate bars just plain chocolate I have to have it every day. Tried numerous times, and every time I have failed.
Chocolate is a source of magnesium & so are nuts, that's why women crave chocolate-covered nuts at certain times of the month. If you add a good magnesium supplement, your chocolate cravings may decrease.
This afternoon I got rid of every food item that had sugar within its first three ingredients. Thankfully, I've already been more mindful of what I bring into my house, so this was easy! I also don't keep snacks in my house as a general rule, so I didn't waste a whole lot of money with this, either. Even though I'm currently snacking on some brown sugar roasted walnuts (homemade), I feel a whole lot better about this snack than something that's been processed. Now that all the rest of it is out of my house, I just have to exercise all my willpower when I'm OUT of the house :)
I haven't given up sugar 100% but cutting back as Dr Becky says over a month (for me Sept 2021) I used Stevia/Splenda every other cup of coffee etc. helped me have my first time that I didn't buy Xmas/Valentine candy the day after even though it was half off. : ) So freeing. I lost tons of bloat, stomach flattened, bathroom habits changed for the better(fake sugar upset it I think) After a few months patients dropping off donuts didn't make me want them. My left knee stopped bothering me. The less weight and sugar helped me feel so much better. I saved my sugar for holiday loves, pumpkin pie or a cookie. I know some can't do a little but it was very freeing for me to be in control again and not have it have control over me.
I grew up eating Fruit Loops and Frosted Flakes for breakfast. I ate candy and Coke almost daily, for school lunch my mom would pack a peanut butter/marshmallow/jelly sandwich, a Hostess cup cake and a small bag of Fritos. You get the idea. I need to try this too, I am TOTALLY addicted to sugar. But I really can’t see my achieving it 😬
Hang in there, Kathy Kay, and don't give up and you WILL make it eventually! Pre-diabetic myself & working on the same issue! 💕💞
Dear Kathy Kay: NEVER GIVE UP. I keep telling myself this. I lost 80 pounds and my problem isn't with sugar, but with pizza. I'm trying to cut my habit of eating pizza every month.
You can do it Kathy Kay!

The desire really never goes away for me - I went the last few years doing a great job with sugar - and this year I am back at it like crack! Not sure why but man it is powerful.
Same here, the body aches and headaches came back too.
I think for some of us it is like crack. Our bodies don’t forget how it made us feel in the moment.
Thanks, Dr. Becky!
Did you succeed?
@@HalpryBeirrie No. But I have cut down on my sugar intake and I'm more intentional about it.
Sugar Free February starts tomorrow!
By doing a month with only 28 days, I'm going to speed run the challenge 😏
😂! OMG I didn’t realize that lol!
That did occur to me :).
Thank you!
Congrats! That's great to hear, Martin!
That's great to hear!
Thank you so very much ❤️
Wonderful! That's great to hear, Karen! Congratulations.
I really appreciate your encouraging words Karen. I'm miserable since I have hypoglycemia so need to quit sugar. Praying for the self control!
Congrats, Anne!
are you still going, Anne? I hope you are! I'm starting today...4 days before Christmas 😆
@dashrubberbear I am. I got covid and had to pause temporarily. But I got back on it, and I feel so good. Good luck to you! Xmas is just one day.
I just found you- thought about intermittent fasting- but I’m an “eat sugar out of the sugar bowl” addict! I don’t know where to start! 😢
I've also quit alcohol and am failing miserably to quit sugar!! sob! what did you do? cold turkey?😪😪
Thanks for sharing I've been sober for almost 8 years and sugar has been so hard!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think alcohol is really a sugar addiction. Check out any Dunkin Donuts. Ex alcoholics hanging out drinking coffee, smoking and eating sugar. Since quitting alcohol I am having major sugar cravings. Time to cut the sugar.
With your encouraging words and strength behind me, I start today.
I will join the February 1st group to stop eating sugar. I was thinking about my hip and joint pains as I was walking today. It's amazing that Dr. Becky's info came up when it did.
It's time to kick sugar to the curb!
I will start Feb 1
Love it! Congratulations on already seeing the changes. Happy belated birthday! I wish you the best :)
No better time than February 1st to cut the sugar and return to healthy eating. Thanks Dr. Becky for your coaching and encouragement! Peace 😎
Yes I'm on this journey February 1st ♥️♥️💜💜
Started today, one week behind you all 💗 hope both of your first week went well!
How are you going, guys? :)
Wonderful! Congratulations, JustWorship!
I can cut down on sugar as long as I keep watching and listening your videos!
This is what I needed to hear, my husband and I have not made the right choices this past year. Tomorrow sounds like a good day to start for me!
I just did the 30-day challenge (10/1-10/30) and lost 13 lbs! 🎉
I highly recommend the book. It has all the information you need, and the daily motivations really helped me get through the 30 days.
Thank you so much, Dr. Becky for this video and for your book! ❤
That is wonderful to hear! Congratulations!
I’m starting Feb 1st 😊
Thank you, Dr. Becky. I needed a brief, intelligent, inspiring video and this was it. I started no-sugar on 10/19 and now it's Day 6. I have lots of fresh fruit and no sugar cravings. My face is clearing up and my energy feels different. Better!
That's great to hear, Jenny! I wish you the best! The longer you stay away from it, the less you'll miss it.
@@almaburns6562 I well aware that I could be, but it’s the only thing that makes me feel good. I don’t use it often.
This videos right on time. I wanted to start on February 1st , for my quitting sugar goal! Especially because I’ve been obsessed with doughnuts. Thanks 😊
Me too! 1 February!
Well, here goes for me, too. Feb 1 it is!
Iv given up once b4 for 8 months, I was very nauseous 2 to 4 wk,, although so many benefits, sadly over the last 2 yrs if creeped back in
I’m ready to do this challenge again will start now thank you
Day 5 sugar free now. The feelings of hardcore punishment have melted away. I had a PROFOUND realization on Day 4 that sugar free takes away the confusion of hunger, so my body is now an accurate measuring tool for when I want to eat. I am SOLD, and I look forward to more new changes.
Great to hear!
April 1, 2024 - I followed Dr. Becky through her 0-1-2-3 protocol... time to get back on that...
I actually started this last Tuesday 1/31/23. I am doing pretty good so far.
Thank you Dr. Becky! I’m in Starting Feb 15th - after the big game!
I am declaring that my day one is tomorrow, February 1st, 2023!!!
I wish you the best, HeatherRose!
Start Date: February 1, 2023. Can't wait as I am also a diabetic as well
Today is my day
Today is my DAY #1 😊
Thank you, short & straight forward video! 😊
It is February 11 I just threw away all the the food in my refrigerator that has sugar in the top three ingredients
I wanna start tomorrow, I have tried in the past. I started eating sweets like crazy on day 11.
Have been using Truvia in plain Greek yogurt.
oh my try sugar free jello packets with yogurt. like the flavored jello packets, put the powder in the yogurt; it tastes soo good. i put other powdered stuff in there like Mg, an fat soluble powders with full fat yogurt
I'm giving up sugar for Lent this year. Ash Wednesday (day 1) will be Feb. 14, though I'm going to start tapering off sugar in preparation starting this Monday.
I am on Day 1 🙏🏼
You are the best Dr. Becky!! Thank you for this great advice amd guidance!!
This was a super video I am happy and grateful to you for creating this channel
and giving us such great content.
Wonderful to hear!
What a great info-packed video, short and to the point, unlike most docs . . . thanks . . .
It's all the same to you body. It still causes an insulin spike.
THANK YOU !
I joined this channel for two reasons: I would like to completely cut out sugar someday and I’m trying to better my cooking skills
Wow so many great comments !! ❤
February 1st I'm on track no sugar
Feb 8, 2023 will be my start date for 30 days
Thank you for this video❤
Great tips - thanks. I need to commit.
starting from today.....from now on ..
Thank you! 🎉
I'm doing this!
How do you combat sugar craving?
eat meat and fat oncd you crave sugar..thats what i do!
I quit smoking drinking but quitting sugar is a night mare. I don’t eat or cakes or candies. I am just heavily addicted to chocolate bars just plain chocolate I have to have it every day. Tried numerous times, and every time I have failed.
I found eating a bit of dark chocolate with a few walnuts really helps ease that craving.
@@robertamaclaren7546 my problem with chocolate is stopping at a small piece.
Chocolate is a source of magnesium & so are nuts, that's why women crave chocolate-covered nuts at certain times of the month. If you add a good magnesium supplement, your chocolate cravings may decrease.
Congratulations on quitting smoking and drinking.
Thanks a lot.
Thank you so much for sharing this!
The Best!
I’m pretty low sugar after going low carb but ready to go no sugar. I did dry January, which I’ll continue and add “no sugar” Feb 1, 2023!
You didn’t mention maple syrup which is the sweetener I use. What’s your input on this. Thank you
hmm im sorry for never saying thanks but bc of u, i haven’t really been eating sugar for like definitely over a year now; thank u very much. stay safe
starting today!
V useful and motivational as usual
Thank u beckh
What do I do with LMNT electrolytes packets it has Stevia as an ingredient?
I am starting this tomorrow. I really only use a couple of stevia's in my coffee or matcha in morning. That will be hard ..lol
Hello Dr. Becky can you do a video for woman how to fast I am on thyroid medication and blood pressure medication please and thank you
Tomorrow, February 1, start date!
Going sugar-free helps with joint pain.
February 20th...tomorrow.
