As someone who lives by the lower two Great Lakes, I am always amazed at the ocean-like characteristics of our largest Great Lake! I don’t believe I have ever seen this rolling quality to the waves- and this kind of surf- on either Erie or Ontario. It’s beautiful! Of course watching the ship make its way through the channel and out onto open waters was equally wonderful to watch. Thanks.
@ I enjoy it when the other side cannot be seen….just seems more open and free! I hope you can visit the Great Lakes sometime- though I know you have your own exquisitely beautiful scenery in the lovely province of Alberta!
@@janetryan9779On my bucket list for sure, Albertas Rocky Mountains are breathtaking and Upper Waterton lake is the deepest in the Canadian Rockies at almost 500 ft, tucked away in the corner of Alberta, BC and Montana borders
Bless them and keep them safe in "the gales of November".

@@janetryan9779 I wonder if you’d see rolling waves if the wind hit just the right angle, coming straight down the lake? 🤔 It’s super cool to see!
@
I hope I do see that sometime! 🙂
As an Albertan that hasn’t visited the Great Lakes yet, those waves are intimidating AND YOU CANT SEE THE OTHER SIDE!

I love the Tregurtha, its signage is crisp and clean looking..well maintained boat.
I like the sound. The seagulls, the water, the full effect. Makes me feel like I'm almost there. 😊
@@lynnclark4208 good! I’m glad!
Brave men keep the USA running. God bless America
Moody sky and lake today. Great video of the Tregurtha! Thanks
@@CathyLahr this was a few days ago but today is actually almost identical so it works either way lol
The sea is raging but the canal is calm that is very strange indeed
😂 I was very confused by that!
The Welland Canal Locks & the St Lawrence Seaway Locks should be widened to allow the 1000 footers through.
@@rottenroads1982 agreed, would be a massive boost for ocean traffic as well
The seasons they are a changin.
Very much so! Sort of switching between fall and winter every couple days
Back in the Day, and there was an old saying:
IT'S NOT NICE TO FOOL MOTHER NATURE! 2:24
Nope! And she seems to remember that lol
Freaky weird weather.
Safe trip.
Definitely weird! Waves all around and none in the Canal
What was with the right turn after leaving the canal?
Sounds like she's getting a cold... her horns sound off. Or could be I'm getting a cold...😒
@@jaynorris3722 😂 it was pretty cold, could have been the distance combined with the wind as well, she blew pretty early
