Actually no. Champagne/sparkling wine is supposed to be opened so that it makes as little noise as possible. (This is coming from a person who is studying in university about how to run a hotel/a restaurant AKA me.) :P

There is an even better way. Take the cage off. Twist cork until loose enough to gently rock the cork from one side to the other to release pressure. Even if shaken you can release pressure.
