Never in my life have I been tempted to text while at a stop light. I never understood why people can't just wait a few seconds. Either a manual transmission or paddle-shift can help people focus more on driving, which is why I'm a huge fan of them.

OBJECTION! In regards to buying brand new cars, if we just leave that to non-car people the only cars that are going to be selling well will be stuff that appeals to non-car people. Which means primarily SUVs, luxury sedans and econoboxes. New enthusiast-oriented cars are extremely rare because no one's buying new enthusiast-oriented cars with the exception of the occasional Corvette, GT-R or other halo car. If we want new enthusiast cars, we need to put our money where our mouths are. If you have the money to do so, go ahead and buy that new 370Z, WRX STI, MX-5, Z4 or Focus RS. Show the manufacturers that we want cars like that, so that there will be cars for later generations to enjoy. I'm not saying you HAVE to buy new, I'm saying that the idea that you should NEVER buy new is going to kill the hobby in the long run. There's only so many used enthusiast cars to go around.
Exactly, because of enthusiasts refusing to buy new cars is partially why manual transmission are basically non-existent in America now because regular people much rather have something simple instead of something they feel that is complicated, that is why electric cars are becoming more popular because all you have to do is plug your car in over night and you're set but you got companies like Tesla that are going a step further and making cars drive by themselves and literally come to you once you're done shopping, the future isn't looking good for us enthusiasts if people like Blade tell their viewers to avoid newer cars and just wait until they're being put up for sale or buy used because manufacturers look at sales of their BRAND NEW cars and determine what they should focus their production on

I can vouch for the automatic carwash. Previous owner of my car did it religiously and now I'm paying the price. microscratches and thinning of the clear coat on both the hood and trunk 🤦🏽♂️

I dont know what kind of automatic carwashes are used in US but in EU we use cloth like brushesand they should not leave any microscratches...microscratches appeared only when the owner of the carwash didnt change brushes when they were obsolete.
My civic runs open downpipe. To make up for my lack of rice I put a $100 walmart bought catback on my prelude. Gotta even out the rice or people might start respecting Honda

Not far from me there is a very, very good auto wash, they even provide professional handwash and detailing and waxing. But of course detailing and waxing is best done at your own convenience and plenty of time.
Why would you do that? The Camry isn't at all sporty, and if it was a sleeper, having a widebody defeats the purpose of it being a sleeper, which is to be inconspicuous, yet powerful

I'd like to add something. Don't rebadge/re-brand your car. The amount of times I've seen a Holden with Chevrolet badge on it... At least here in Australia, you're not fooling anyone. Also don't put AMG Badges on Mitsubishi's, I shouldn't have to explain why but I've seen at least 10 "AMG Lancers/Evos" in the past year
here stateside we have the same thing with the Holdens. It isn't too uncommon to see a rebadged Pontiac G8 with a Holden Logo on it, however it is a bit more understandable as like 98% of people here don't know about Holden and it starts a lot of conversations. but it's when someone puts on the sport badges on their V6 G8 that it's a problem

I saw a guy who drive a KIA Rio and he rebadge the car with Lexus badge. There's also this one time a guy drive a Mitsubishi Colt pick up truck and the guy attached a Ford badge without removing any of the Mitsubishi badges. You can imagine how ridiculous it can get here.
The automatic car wash is a significant thing here in the desert. When it's 111f in the shade and dusty, we autowash. But then again, we don't have winter here.

You rock, Bladed. Kudos on another great video. But I have to disagree on #4. I would NEVER buy a used BMW product, because honestly they’re cars meant to be leased (at least the new ones.) Let the dealership be the ones to pay for the maintenance on an expensive Euro. Except maybe waaaay used, where the price is so low I don’t mind paying loads for maintenance (Hoovie’s Garage style.) That said, I drive an F150 anyway. So take it with a grain of salt.
One good argument FOR buying a brand new car, is that you can be absolutely sure it haven't been thrashed from the moment it left the dealer. When I bought my last car, when asked about breaking in, the dealer litteraly said "When it's warm, drive it like you stole it"! I didn't do that, of cause. And when I got my new one last thursday, even when the manual clearly describes a break in period, the salesperson proclaimed "Today, new cars don't need to be broken in". That leaves me to believe, that a lot of non car guys will ignore the manual and just drive it like a used one. When I bought my first car, an '86 Mk.IV Escort 1.3, the engine had already had the engine replaced at ~42,000 miles, and when I bought it at ~110,000 miles, the camshaft on the replacement was just about worn out, and the car was "marking its territory". Instead of replacing the camshaft, I replaced the entire engine with a unit that had done ~34,000 miles (from a totalled car driven by a woman). I had that engine for the next 62,000 problem free miles before selling the car (the engine was in far better condition than the rest of it). And mind you, when the engine was warm, it got the beans! But the oil was changed every 6,000 miles, and the valves was adjusted every 12,000.

Atlanta roads popped two runflats and two normal tires of mine. I know the runflats have stiff sidewalls that maybe made them more easily burst,but 285 on the east side of the city popped the regular tires.
The part about breaking in a car is a really good point. I work at a mechanic shop and a man brought in a GMC Syclone with only 30k miles and it already needs a new motor because it wasn't broken in properly
Good video... Red texting talking, I don't do it any time, even on 6-7 hrs long driving. My brother totaled his car while taking selfie, he doesn't care about his car or safety. but I do, so nope. Especially, on long higway drives if you find another good driver on the road, you guys kinda sorta understand each other and kinda like team up and overtake trucks and change lanes and everything is in sync...have you ever had that experience? I've had it twice on my way from St' Louis to Columbus and boy it was super fun to drive with other awesome drivers on the road.
Automatic Car washes can get the salt on the undercarriage of the car too, keeping the exhaust free of the salt. Also, the "Don't take badge your car," My dad's friend bought a Chevrolet SS and the previous owner put a Corvette badge on it, and first thing he did was put the SS badge on it. Second he put the sick looking Holden front end on it.

I had a regular automatic with paddle shifters on my 335i (because their automatic system can handle up to 450hp) and it can shift better than you think. After a tune on the transmission, it was even better. It shifted the moment I touch the shifter. Automatics are good. But what we should hate are car manufacturers that DON'T even at least put paddle shifters on the car. Side note; I also drive manual

Your eating comment reminded me I need to vacuum out my Suburban and shampoo the carpets, because it's a bit of a winter warrior, and the carpet underneath where I put the floor mats (In the future, I plan on using them ONLY during the winter or if I take it off-roading and plan on maybe getting my shoes muddy because the running boards are caked) is a tad filthy. I don't eat while driving, though if I'm on a long trip and don't want to actually go inside, I'd totally park and eat. I do drink (not alcohol, I may be dumb but I'm not stupid) while driving sometimes, but I'm not worried about spills because 1: I don't have Parkinson's, and 2: It's usually something clear like water or ginger ale. Sometimes sprite.
There's an older woman who works at a cosmetic store next to my work who owns a mustard yellow Hyundai Veloster. She took all the badges off and replaced them with Jaguar badges. It got to the point where a random guy looked at it and asked if I saw the car and knew what it was. I ended up getting into an argument with him since he thought it was an actual Jaguar that he's never seen before. He thought it was a new car that Jaguar was making but I kept convincing him it was just a rebadged Hyundai Veloster. He finally got the hint a couple of days later when I ran into him again.
I used to be bad about picking songs on my phone when I'd drive but now I just make a car playlist. I never swerved or got in another lane but its still a distraction. If anything happened to my Lucy, Id literally cry my eyes out.
I think eating something small while driving is okay. Drinks are fine as well. Texting is what pisses me off the most, unless you're in a Tesla, then I don't really care.

I just found this channel this is awesome stuff!!! I’m more of a light Truck/SUV enthusiast, I currently drive a 2018 Subaru Outback 2.5i which is incredibly dope compared to the 2003 Corolla LE I used to drive...although its hard to say whether its a Wagon or an SUV, I consider it a wagon because its basically a modernized lifted Legacy Outback. The truck I want to buy once and keep nice forever is a Silverado 1500 Ext. Cab Z71, preferrably a model year in the 2007-2013 Gen or a 1999-2002.
I will say some of the newer automatic car washes that are touch less here in California make it very convenient when you live in little farm towns that cover the car in dirt dust and pollen.
Speaking of new cars, if you really want a new car then you could ask your car dealer if he has a "demostrator". Those cars have mostly around 3k-5k Kilometers on it and they go for like 15-25% cheaper and the car is allready " driven in" (sry if this ain´t the real term). Or maybe you can get in touch with a manufactorer and get a test car straight from the production. I know that in Europe such things are possible. I worked a lot in the car industrie and know that such thing were done in Audi/Neckarsulm and VW/Bratislava.
One things car guys should neve do is be afraid to ask questions about cars, no matter how dumb unless it is really dumb. Learning about cars makes you more of a car enthusiast and on top of that it can be a great conversation starter and lead to lifelong friendships.
The touch less automatics aren’t that bad especially in the salt belt where getting the salt off makes a big difference, but the ones with the brushes mess up the paint.

I'd like to add something. Don't rebadge/re-brand your car. The amount of times I've seen a Holden with Chevrolet badge on it... At least here in Australia, you're not fooling anyone. Also don't put AMG Badges on Mitsubishi's, I shouldn't have to explain why but I've seen at least 10 "AMG Lancers/Evos" in the past year
here stateside we have the same thing with the Holdens. It isn't too uncommon to see a rebadged Pontiac G8 with a Holden Logo on it, however it is a bit more understandable as like 98% of people here don't know about Holden and it starts a lot of conversations. but it's when someone puts on the sport badges on their V6 G8 that it's a problem

But I have to disagree on #4. I would NEVER buy a used BMW product, because honestly they’re cars meant to be leased (at least the new ones.) Let the dealership be the ones to pay for the maintenance on an expensive Euro. Except maybe waaaay used, where the price is so low I don’t mind paying loads for maintenance (Hoovie’s Garage style.)
That said, I drive an F150 anyway. So take it with a grain of salt.

One good argument FOR buying a brand new car, is that you can be absolutely sure it haven't been thrashed from the moment it left the dealer.
When I bought my last car, when asked about breaking in, the dealer litteraly said "When it's warm, drive it like you stole it"! I didn't do that, of cause. And when I got my new one last thursday, even when the manual clearly describes a break in period, the salesperson proclaimed "Today, new cars don't need to be broken in". That leaves me to believe, that a lot of non car guys will ignore the manual and just drive it like a used one.
When I bought my first car, an '86 Mk.IV Escort 1.3, the engine had already had the engine replaced at ~42,000 miles, and when I bought it at ~110,000 miles, the camshaft on the replacement was just about worn out, and the car was "marking its territory". Instead of replacing the camshaft, I replaced the entire engine with a unit that had done ~34,000 miles (from a totalled car driven by a woman). I had that engine for the next 62,000 problem free miles before selling the car (the engine was in far better condition than the rest of it). And mind you, when the engine was warm, it got the beans! But the oil was changed every 6,000 miles, and the valves was adjusted every 12,000.
So today I saw a Golf GTI sedan.

Atlanta roads popped two runflats and two normal tires of mine. I know the runflats have stiff sidewalls that maybe made them more easily burst,but 285 on the east side of the city popped the regular tires.

Especially, on long higway drives if you find another good driver on the road, you guys kinda sorta understand each other and kinda like team up and overtake trucks and change lanes and everything is in sync...have you ever had that experience? I've had it twice on my way from St' Louis to Columbus and boy it was super fun to drive with other awesome drivers on the road.
Automatic Car washes can get the salt on the undercarriage of the car too, keeping the exhaust free of the salt.
Also, the "Don't take badge your car," My dad's friend bought a Chevrolet SS and the previous owner put a Corvette badge on it, and first thing he did was put the SS badge on it. Second he put the sick looking Holden front end on it.

Ok, look elitist, the most impressive and significant cars out there today have an automatic of some sort, usually being a dual clutch with paddles. I love full manuals as much as the Miata boi next to me, but the greatest cars out there today have an auto, and that’s just something you elitists are gonna have to live with.

I had a regular automatic with paddle shifters on my 335i (because their automatic system can handle up to 450hp) and it can shift better than you think. After a tune on the transmission, it was even better. It shifted the moment I touch the shifter. Automatics are good. But what we should hate are car manufacturers that DON'T even at least put paddle shifters on the car. Side note; I also drive manual

Your eating comment reminded me I need to vacuum out my Suburban and shampoo the carpets, because it's a bit of a winter warrior, and the carpet underneath where I put the floor mats (In the future, I plan on using them ONLY during the winter or if I take it off-roading and plan on maybe getting my shoes muddy because the running boards are caked) is a tad filthy. I don't eat while driving, though if I'm on a long trip and don't want to actually go inside, I'd totally park and eat. I do drink (not alcohol, I may be dumb but I'm not stupid) while driving sometimes, but I'm not worried about spills because 1: I don't have Parkinson's, and 2: It's usually something clear like water or ginger ale. Sometimes sprite.
Also listening to music while driving is also distracted driving! Change my mind.

There's an older woman who works at a cosmetic store next to my work who owns a mustard yellow Hyundai Veloster. She took all the badges off and replaced them with Jaguar badges. It got to the point where a random guy looked at it and asked if I saw the car and knew what it was. I ended up getting into an argument with him since he thought it was an actual Jaguar that he's never seen before. He thought it was a new car that Jaguar was making but I kept convincing him it was just a rebadged Hyundai Veloster. He finally got the hint a couple of days later when I ran into him again.

I’m more of a light Truck/SUV enthusiast, I currently drive a 2018 Subaru Outback 2.5i which is incredibly dope compared to the 2003 Corolla LE I used to drive...although its hard to say whether its a Wagon or an SUV, I consider it a wagon because its basically a modernized lifted Legacy Outback. The truck I want to buy once and keep nice forever is a Silverado 1500 Ext. Cab Z71, preferrably a model year in the 2007-2013 Gen or a 1999-2002.

I will say some of the newer automatic car washes that are touch less here in California make it very convenient when you live in little farm towns that cover the car in dirt dust and pollen.

Speaking of new cars, if you really want a new car then you could ask your car dealer if he has a "demostrator". Those cars have mostly around 3k-5k Kilometers on it and they go for like 15-25% cheaper and the car is allready " driven in" (sry if this ain´t the real term). Or maybe you can get in touch with a manufactorer and get a test car straight from the production. I know that in Europe such things are possible. I worked a lot in the car industrie and know that such thing were done in Audi/Neckarsulm and VW/Bratislava.
I put a V8 in my Tiburon, and made it all wheel drive. Still does 0-60 in 3.4 years though, and I don't pop the hood for anyone.
One things car guys should neve do is be afraid to ask questions about cars, no matter how dumb unless it is really dumb. Learning about cars makes you more of a car enthusiast and on top of that it can be a great conversation starter and lead to lifelong friendships.
The touch less automatics aren’t that bad especially in the salt belt where getting the salt off makes a big difference, but the ones with the brushes mess up the paint.
