What I have done, I bought Shen getting ADA staking rewards plus 8% plus a bit I put for liquidity ADA/SHEN for extra 8ish% and I am really happy believing long term I could really retire enjoying my rewards
We staked Cardano on Ledger Live two years ago. We want to Unstake it now but are not able to so far. Ledger Live doesn't show the delegated amount and doesn't show an Unstake button. Nano hasn't been helpful so far. We sent them a screenshot showing the staking and the pools. They keep saying press the Unstake button. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks.
ADA doesn't stay in your wallet. ADA goes to a smart contract. ADA that goes to it can not be spent on trading, buy of tokens or NFTs. The ADA that you lend out can only be delegated by the borrower to another stake pool. This is a step in between native staking and peer to peer lending.
Not really anymore, with so many ISPOs at the moment it still spread all over the place. Plus some of the ISPOs have whats called a Fair ISPO where they use small community pools, which actually spreads the ADA out more and has the reverse effect compared to what the Sundaeswap ISO did in the early days of DeFi.
Yes that is right. I don’t think it’s risky. Smart contact staking is minimal risk and it’s just a little more than Ada native staking. They price of min is your factor here. If you simply want to accumulate min this is a good idea.
So ...I have been with your Stake Pool for many Years Should I just Jump ship and Be Greedy with this offer. ?Why not Highlight what your Stake Pool is up to plus can you develop along these Lines?
It's up to you. Risk vs reward factor. Staking to a pool is low risk low reward. Staking in a smart contract is a higher risk but higher reward. My pool isn't offering anything else at the moment as we've gotten too big since Fluid Tokens ISPO. That's over now so we will see what comes next.
Really bad idea which brings debt to the ecosystem. Borrowing and lending is bad since it is just over leveraged trading. They get your money and leverage on other positions to get more tokens. Also big risk since you shouldn't trust other protocols and contracts. Just do normal staking.
I think you guys are missing the key aspect here. You are not lending out your ADA, you are lending where it will be delegated to. There ADA can not be spent, traded, leveraged or used anywhere other than being delegated to a stake pool of the borrowers choice. Interest on the loan is paid upfront and to avoid defaults. I don't think I explained this all very well.
Why would anyone borrow ADA to start a stake pool if they will be only losing money? Nobody will borrow ADA before a bull run because they will get liquidated/bankrupt very fast
You're right why would you borrow to start a pool? If you're a SPO and need good 1M ADA, the an Optim Finance SPO Bond would be better as the APR is lower and you are more likely to be able to borrow the ADA delegation and to boost the pool and mint blocks for the fixed ADA fee. Technically you could borrow 3M ADA which will guarantee you blocks each epoch, jack up your fixed fee and milk those ADA rewards. With the Fluid Tokens borrowing, you pay the interest at the start to avoid liquidations. Can't get liquidated if you've already paid the loan.
I stake through my ledger to a stake pool, if I do this staking your talking about, foes the Ada stay in my ledger, or do I have to send out of my ledger???
Boosted staking is a smart contract interaction. So no, it doesn't stay in your wallet. It will go to the smart contract instead. It is a level of risk that you take to be able to earn that little bit more.

Greate content as always, greetings from switzerland and spain!
Hello there!
Great content! Does this boosted method still work now that’s AUG?
Yes, I just checked, its closer to 5% ROA

What do you think of staking in the Exodus wallet?
It’s fine. They have their own pools. It’s like staking in other wallets to other pools but they do take more of a cut
Please can you confirm there is 0% risk. The ada stays in my wallet?

@@LearnCardano only thing I have learned in crypto is that smart contracts can be exploited and you lose your money
Will this have a centralizing side effect like the fomo to move delegated stake to sundaeswap scooper pools in the early days of Cardano DeFi?

Yes, Thanks Peter. This is very helpful.
Glad it was helpful!
what do you think about minswap MIN Staking? They claim to have 7%+ APR. Is it risky?
Yes that is right. I don’t think it’s risky. Smart contact staking is minimal risk and it’s just a little more than Ada native staking. They price of min is your factor here. If you simply want to accumulate min this is a good idea.
Nice one Pete... Walls looking blank.
yeh i don't know what to do about that
Yes. I also had the intent to retire on staking rewards 😢
Yeh not happening for me unless I some how make that 1.8M ADA OR ADA hits $15 or something absurd
Great video!
Glad you enjoyed it
interesting yes
Indeed
So wait? I get my ADA back full? No risk of losing my ADA?
Yes you get it back, only where it is delegated is pointed elsewhere, not the ada, that remains in the smart contract.

Pete I have a question ...after I provide liquidity...are they are giving me back ADA or Thieir fluid token...or both?@@LearnCardano
I'll just stick to normal staking via coinbase this seems a bit sketchy.
Really? Staking in a centralised exchange where you don't actually own the ADA?
Can someone else jump in here?
You clearly are new to Cardano.....Cardano non custodial staking the most easy and safest thing to do in the whole crypto space!!!

Agreed. Learned my lesson w/ Celsius. "Not your keys..... "
You're correct and he fails to mention any of this which is a major red flag.
Wholeheartedly agree with this 👍🏾

@@LearnCardano 👍 I get it now. Thanks for the clarification.
Bro 99.9% of people do not have 2 million ADA.
yeh no one I know has that kinda ADA
im retiring on minswap,, ez x100 next year
Thats what i am hoping, got half on sundaeswap and minswap
Yeh Minswap is gold. With the new proposal coming out to potentially burn Min tokens too, we will have retirement coming!
Yes, you would need over 2 million ada to retire on ada. Just in case ada goes back to .22 cents.
Yeh. How is that plan going ?
Thats more then enough if you have your house paid
IF... if you're renting you're gonna struggle.

Simple, you just need 2 million ADA and you're all set to retire! Thanks for the video...
Truth!
First like lets gooo!
Let's gooooo
🙏
ADA has the best staking method of ALL cryptos. You retain custody.
Yes it certainly does
🎉
I can retire off $50k AUD easily, u don't use much in retirement. So i only need 900,000 lol
Lucky for some. Lots of people still need to pay rent and sort our a home.
Absolutly not realistic video for 99.9% people
Nope. Nope it isn’t but that’s the reality if you’re relying purely on staking rewards
ADA really is dead - you guys are all in denial. ETH will hit 20K before ADA gets to $3
