- Have you ever wondered who paints our locomotives? Meet our best-in-class team at Juniata Locomotive Paint Shop in Altoona, Pennsylvania! 🚂
From our Heritage units to the new Thoroughbred Locomotive and everything in between, this dedicated crew proudly creates the face of Norfolk Southern. #ThankARailroader
You guys are killing with these beautiful heritage units, also thanks for the great information NS!!!
I caught 8100 and 8025
hopefully these wont derail
💀
stfu cornball this happened with CSX
Very cool! Love your Heritage locomotives
I recently rewatched when you chased the 675 in here. That was super neat seeing you in an environment that was nearby. See ya on the high iron
Nice job NS, thank god they don’t look like CNs (please don’t attack me)
Y'all do an awesome job painting those locomotives! Great job!
I agree
You guys are whole lot better than Csx.. y’all got more good stuff while Csx has dumb wasted potential..
Bro NS Threats their employees like trash, plus not only that NS Has a lot of derails over the years now and has the worst PSR in the world, they don't even care about it at all, plus NS Wastes their money at all, CSX is lot better tbh.
@@Amtrak2005 But at least bnsf doesn’t have to deal with PSR..
@@Amtrak2005 Csx dont care about their old engines and they just wanna leave them in storage forever while Ns has the potential to rebuild them…
Yesssirrrr very niceeee
I’m amazed my the shear size of the Juniata shops! I would love to see NS do more community outreach programs. I appreciate the railroad for giving us these nice heritage units and repainting them!
These heritage units will be on the rails soon
Fascinating. I worked at the Boeing Everett plant for years and the paint hangar operations were fascinating especially the painting of the 747.
Thank you for the information, you guys are the best @norfolksoutherncorp.
so far I've only seen the wabash, and the lehigh valley heritage units, man do the look cool
Also saw the Wabash parked on the siding behind our house in Iowa.
Really nice work!!
How does a class I the size of Norfolk Southern with as many shops and facilities the railroad owns only have 1 paint shop? I would have thought you'd at least a couple more to keep the fleet looking its best without needing to run all the way to Pennsylvania.
Most railroads have only one paint shop due to most paint jobs now being handled by contractors and motive power rebuilders like MidAmerica in Kansas City.
They did have more than one. Chattanooga had a paint shop. The company is being cheap and shutting shops down trying to save money which makes it ironic that they dedicate a unit to there employees who are steadily being put out of work.
0:01 behind her is NS 4822
Awsome! Your Herritage locomotives are one of a kind!😊
Nice Lol
Good job NS
Love the video
Come on BNSF, do some heritage units! You are the only class one that doesn’t have any heritage units! No, an orange unit with stickers doesn’t count! Better yet, charge your name to Santa Fe Railway and bring back the war bonnets, both red and silver and blue and yellow.
0:23 you should repaint the Illinois Terminal Heritage Unit. That one needs to be repainted or washed.
At least they painted the sign. It was in severe disrepair for a decade to the point you could not even read it. Otherwise the entire facility is an eyesore on the communality. Full of trash and weeds and dilapidated buildings. Nothing to be proud of here.
Yall had 50 painters and now yall have 12, if I was you I wouldn’t have posted this
Anyone showed this to BNSF yet? They seem to be allergic to fresh paint.
Please make a yellow version of this loco for Pittsburgh colors
Please repaint the Penn Central Heritage Locomotive!!
ah yes the nuke railroad
stfu this happened with CSX lol.
I’m Hayden hostler
Pen central 1073 needs repainted
Omw to Altoona rn, see you guys soon
This work is amazing, for being one that visits Altoona, PA allot. Its great seeing these units looking and running great!
You guys should do the autism awareness and the miracle league unit
I
❤
I hope Norfolk Southern paints a couple of locomotives in tribute to their European Counterparts like the Die Ban with a Big DB
in your dreams
This kid doesn't even know what he's talking about smh
You guys have awesome heritage units! Also, I suggest retiring unit 9549, which has been stored there a while due to wreck damage, and rebuild that whole thing into an AC44C6M.
