The fact that the mother was "concerned" that her daughter stayed a little late over her younger brother's house is telltale. She had misgivings about her son or even knew something, but like all bad mothers, tried to protect him. Why else would she go over there. She knew something was wrong before it actually was.

In my case, my mother loves my brothers more than me. I have 3 brothers and she gave me a horrible life. It really bothers me when I hear expectant mothers disproportionately say they'd rather have a son.
My question is, why did the mother feel there was a cause for concern that her two adult children were having dinner together at 11pm? That seems generally innocuous, so why is it that the mother rushed over there when her adult daughter didn’t see the messages? Obviously it was a good thing she did, but the mother knew something was wrong so there’s definitely more to this story.

I think that her brother doesn't accept the sister's husband as part of the family, which automatically means sexual intercourse and pregnancy mean impurity. He probably believed that her husband was not worthy of being the father of her child. One often hears such murders in the context of 'honor' in the Middle Eastern culture where daughters marry a person indicated by the family. If they fall in love with someone else and meet secretly, the family decides to do the so-called cleansing of honor, means only one thing - murder. Their facts are mixed up here. The brother is insane. Mental health issues. But he had never been violent like this before. He didn't leave parts all over the neighborhood. He left his house in Lakeville where he committed the crime, and went to Roseville to the house where he grew up and that's where he put the body part. The people who live there now saw him on their security camera and called the police. He may have had a fixation on his sister, but nothing ever happened physically between them. She graduated and left home for college at age 18. He was only 11 at the time. She was married when this crime happened. His Dad died of cancer about 5 years ago as well as his oldest brother from a seizure. Jack lived alone in his town house in Lakeville. His mom lives in Bloomington and his sister and her husband also lived in Bloomington - but not with the mom.

Just watched another story and that was her husband. And all these people saying she was having an incestuous relationship with her brother are just sad. She’s no longer here to defend herself. Our society pushes this “family is everything” even when family of origin is truly unhealthy.
