- In this seventh episode we visit the Seaside town of Seaham. This is the first location on our journey south that lies in the county of Durham just to the south of Sunderland. It was the home to some famous and infamous people namely Lord Byron and Mary Ann Cotton. More importantly it was a very important industrial focal point in the history of East Durham. The narrative in this one is relatively short but it is supported by some of the most spectacular drone scenes so far as the Magnesian Limestone cliffs create some amazing scenery. We also see the magnificent Wynyard hall, at present home to Sir John Hall the founder of Gateshead Metro centre shopping complex and the once owner of Newcastle United FC, but was once the home of the Marquess of Londonderry. A key character in this episode.
