I think we all started out flying align helicopters and all slowly moved away from them on to other companies ,they take to long in between models and then when a new one comes the changes are minimal. There's alot more competition now
its looks dated AND i think the tech is dated also. Align have even put the cost up,the main reason Align sold alot was because it was not top notch but cheaper NOW its top money and dated.
I also started with align for my first build and 3D helicopter. I like what they have done here but I won’t be going back too many other great brands out there like Sab xl power and tron.
@@garymurphy5133 What are the top heli now ? I stopped years ago when Align was the norm, i heard good things about Saab with goblin, and msh with protos, any others ?
Yeah they fell behind. There are way better looking and performing models on the market now. I don't think they will ever catch up. And the canopies are horrendous!! And the white on the carbon etc. Nope
This model is now experiencing reports of the main gear exploding into pieces during flight, most likely due to super tight gear mess and backlash tolerances that are too tight.
And watching this remind how overly complex this and SAB is. I like plastic framed logos, literally goes together in minutes, with no loctite and its done and very durable, dont have to worry about scratching carbon this or metal that and having it look beat up. My Logos have gone years of flying and transporting and still look like new, dont have to baby them. I love that.
A good simulator and a small fixed pitch indoor model that will handle multiple crashes! If you do jump the gun and get a heli like in the video (NOT advisable) then make sure you get a large training undercarriage and make sure the heli is setup correctly and for a beginner by an experienced heli pilot.
I always preferred belt drive tail less chatter nois and gear lash. That's why I fly hirobo that and they never change so much I have to throw it out and buy a new model
The Chinese are going to eat Align alive. As things progress, you darn well know OMP and Goosky are going to eventually get to making machines of this size. I could even see FlyWing doing something larger. When you don't consistently reinvent yourself, they'll end up being the next Kyosho, Hirobo or Thunder Tiger. As a lifelong fan of these heli brands, it was tough to watch them descend into darkness.

Wow yeah. After building a SAB RAW 420 this seems like ancient design.

watching how Align does their packaging and assembly instructions makes me appreciate SAB that much more. SAB is the Ferrari of the Heli world

@@sheffandjelley Any sources ? Was planning getting one of them, but if there's issues :/
@@Vidoke69 my replies keep getting deleted??

I like how the servos are horizontal mounted. Very easy to get 90 degrees on the arms. And the links already put together!! What!!
I think it looks really nice that boom is Super sick
Nice helicopter, i really like the servo layout for better cog. This will be my next heli for sure!
Nice modern helicopter man! I purchased the 700x like 1 week before they said the TB70 was coming out 😢😢😢😢.
Great video, and awesome save. Thank you so much for sharing the build and first flight
No thank you for watching!
@@HelidirectRC man that safe was incredible!
Is there a follow up video with more flying? Thx
Do you still get a
Microbeastx flybarless gyro?
If not then what?😊
Great video!
Thank you!
great video
I still like my align 450 everyone makes parts for it and it almost 20 years old and can still get parts or up grade to 6 s
bro, trex started out with belt drive. with are you talking about? I'm confused. is it cause they haven't produced a belt drive in many years??
May I ask why didn't you use a Swashplate Leveler??
One was used just not in the video.
that motor pulley completely defective or some loctite will keep it together?
A load of green will do it. However the fix has been made.
I wanted to ask you what you think of the 850mx motor
What’s your setup for the CGY760r.
Pretty much stock settings.
What’s the best way to start learning how to fly
Contact Nick Wisdom and Jeff west on the Heli addiction Facebook group. They will walk you through the whole process

6:10 oh, I prefer all silver, silver and red, Andy part that has silver I upgrade to it😂
So SAB has a patent on servo layout?😂 They are not even tucked away they are hanging off the frame. I think people are making too much of it.

It’s confusing when you say throttle curve, when using a governor
I believe the Align ESC governor relies on a FLAT throttle curve in idle up and is how you adjust the governed RPM.
goblin pilots made an ass of themselves. those omp canopys hold up well
Precio delTB70

Goosky sucks..had two S2s, both have had crappy electronics reliability.
get your self a proper rc helicopter, instead of these crap ones
That canopy is UGLY!!!!! Whoever designed it needs to get fired! It does not look aggressive enough!
Their called frame dampers
