Despite his frightening look, Baraka is not the most powerful fighter in Mortal Kombat 11. I played against a Baraka main with 2 thousand hours of experience. I swear this character when abused correctly has no openings whatsoever. The double punch stagger pushes back from all fast down pokes so taking a turn is a gamble against 450 damage combos at stake, and his sword staggers are an absolute travesty. Most of the roster can't do anything to ever attack the double sword slash spam. There are some like Kano's back 4 where he practically lays on the floor with a long ranged sweep, but most of the rest just won't reach and get kountered.
@@pmdoublet1948 As I said, characters that have a long ranged down 4 and can low profile under his first slash can work. Generally you want to stay the fuck back against Baraka and zone the shit out of him whenever possible. Just forget about jumping because every button he presses is a 90 degrees anti air. Even his flying knee can kick you out of the air if you're directly above him. Ridiculous.
Blade charge is incredibly unfair. You have to be at least two thirds of the screen away to have a chance to block it. And, yeah, most sweeps are too slow or they don't have enough range to counter it 😠
i keep getting messed up by this guy in ranked and am trying to figure out how to punish him bc ik a lot of the stuff he does isn't safe but i don't know what moves i should try using to beat him

My main struggle when I fight Baraka Is he only uses block breakers and aggressive attacks and I'll be cornered. But that's only on very hard
