I have this model. Phenomenal battery life and I’m the one person who likes the Touch Bar
Haha it seems people either love or hate the touchbar :)
Touch Bar is one of the main reasons I still have mine as well
Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Definitely answered my question in need an answer. Cheers mate.
You're welcome. It's a nice little machine.
have this mac, and its fast enough, perfect for davinci resolve
Love the battery life on this bad boy. 3 years now and its the Best bang for your buck.
Yup. A well made machine.
I just got one recently this week for around $680 US dollars that's optioned with 16gb of ram and its standard 256gb ssd, I'm upgrading from a 15in mid 2015 MacBook Pro it is still fairly useable in todays age as I had it through December of 2023 up until this week in which I will put to rest. I had replaced its battery with a new one, as well with its speakers and ssd to a 1TB along with using open core legacy to get the latest patches and it has still been useable throughout my first semester of college. I would still be using it but I had an opportunity to get into apple silicon with the specs this M1 had, So now I am just listing it in my local Facebook marketplace to recoup some costs with this purchase. I am overall pleased so far with its battery life and speed, even the touch bar is still taking some getting used to but overall it isn't as bad as you'd think so if y'all are in the market for one go for it just make sure you get one with 16gb of ram so your device is future proofed 👍
bought this to avoid the notch pretty happy
Mate u won’t notice the notch while using it..

How long will this last if buying in late 2024???
It’s only 450-500 in bestbuy
As I'm using it today still amazing
🙌🙌
Im probably getting this ONLY because of the touchar
nice sharing !
do you think i should get this or the newer m1 mbp?
Would this be good for medium to heavy video editing, 3D render and photoshop? Looking for a computer that can do all of that on a budget
Absolutely! Only w 16GB model. I got away with rendering on blender w a 16gb m1 MacBook air. The fan will help for those longer renders if rendering out animations or previewing more advanced rendering engines.
@@MathematicPony I have 8gb ram damnit but still works for blender (for now at least)
Thank you! I live in Brazil and apple products here are double the price, I found an offer of this same MacBook for 800 us and bought it. I was kinda scared because is from 2020 but your thoughts helped me!
They are great little machines 🙏
is replace my old laptop
ge72mvr 7rg - 14gb ram i minus the system use so it lower than it says as system needs at least 2gb
256gb

( People say even Msi says it for gaming ) - overheats on me at 93c playing games that easy to do on my older tower which burn it cpu ) -
My macbook last me 10-11 hours if i match that to my gaming laptop sorry i can't hear it as it outlast it in basic task which is can't much lag over the new M1 Chip
( I only pay £699 for it because the only problem it has was it shift key being suck trying to Caps everything ( even has to reset it again because is saying my password wrong when i barely forgot my password for iCloud
( I never hear anything from Macbook that the first macbook i gotten and is barely get hot at basic task ( browsing the web working and basic games ) - all went until i know my caps lock was going Crazy than returning it for my money ( turn it into a desktop sadly i barely touch the screen but at easy is ( Small basically no fans on below )

how does it run on adobe apps like premiere and photoshop?
Factz this what I need to know & Final Cut Pro
@@Bagavid hello do you know if Final Cut works on it 😭
How is M1 (2020) 8Gb for programming and coding?
very good I'd say. Most programming is lightweight so any computer that can handle text processing can handle programming.
@@adesfavsyou 😢really said programming = text processing:(
@@CodeCreated That's now what I said is it now?
@@adesfavs haha i am a software engineer and that really hurt my ego after knowing that the programs we write even m1 pro lags :(

I don’t understand, there has never been a Macbook Pro M1 with touchbar. The touchbar died with the release of the M1 Macbook Air
what are you on about? I literally own a MacBook Pro M1 (2020) 13.3 inch with a touch bar. The touch bar was discontinued with M2 lineup.
@@nostalgicgirrl6053 i must have missed that one. In my memory i only remember the 14” M1 Pro with the notch and the M1 Air, both of which don’t have touchbars. That one kinda slipped through my memory 😀
@@arachano89air never had a touchbar.
My 2020 M1 MBP has a touchbar
@@nostalgicgirrl6053i thought thy kept it on the 13” macbook pro m2
