To be fair, I'm sure that that wasn't his personal copy of the box set, so he had no incentive to put the records back in their sleeves. However, that kind of thing wouldn't (and doesn't) happen in my house.
Those were such great times. In 1996 I was a college student at NAU in Flagstaff, AZ. People were ditching entire vinyl collections and I was buying stacks of records for 25 cents each at a used book/music store called Bookman's. That got me started in earnest on my vinyl collection. 25 years later I haven't stopped and I'm at around 2,700 albums now. I miss those years of cheap vinyl.
i have all the albums and my daughter got me a collector set of all the CDs in a black velvet case with a extra cd of them doing blue suede shoes. its pretty cool and its also so special that my daughter got me it for x-mas. Thanks for the reply from you Ren'e. You have a great day also and keep on rockin. I am 64 and will always be listening to sabbath and all other great bands from my era.
Interesting, so you've been bending albums and comics before and still haven't learned to do it the proper way; the way you don't bend them and leave 'em in the same condition and order the were before! I guess the owner of that comic book store would be proud, wouldn't he?!
He puts all this treasure at the table and bla bla bla...without any trace of happiness!!? What hell is this ? Whow i wish open it with all the sabbath feeling' fan!!
Nice, but I'm not impressed by the fact that they haven't put the gatefolds to better use by including LPs of outtakes, rarities, etc. Also, they've changed the Master Of Reality font to purple on the front cover. It's also worth noting that Sabotage issued with a gatefold sleeve in Mexico and certain South american countries. Google for the version with a top-hatted, mustachioed 'Mr Hyde'-type character on the inside....
I remember buying, listening to exhaustion and handling every album in my childhood and adolescence. In the early 80's here in southern Brazil, in a city at the end of the world, finding to buy the album "Sabbath Blody Sabbath" was impossible. It was a rarity at the time and importation was practically impossible for the city where I was born as well as for the pocket of a poor boy. I had only on a recorded K-7 tape. Finally after a few years I bought a copy, and it felt like I was holding a rare renaissance piece of art. Unfortunately (or fortunately) young people today have no idea of the emotions involved in such an experience.
Children Of The Grave off the Live At Last album was indeed the first Sab song I ever heard some time in the 80's. That one song and I ended up getting all but one of the Ozzy era albums. Oddly enough, LAL was the last album I managed to track down.
I tell you what they should do they should remaster these all from the original UK vertigo swirl tapes and put them back on the swirl label and Master them all in the analog chain at half speed or 45 RPM now there's something people want not just a rehash of some old digital records I'll just buy the CD or search out the originals Warner Brother pressing or the 2001 Castle re issues or the 2012 rhino reissues wish I could afford the original swirls but yeah good luck with that
I wish they’d stop reissuing “Ozzy Years” vinyl box sets over and over and put out something else. Heaven and Hell and Mob Rules need a vinyl reissue badly.
Yes but Heaven and Hell, Mob Rules and Dehumanizer are all released under the Black Sabbath name. Also I'd really like a 90s collection. People shit on Tony Martin but I really like Tyr, Cross Purposes and even some tracks on Forbidden.
We Sold Our Soul for Rock n Roll was a compilation and Live At Last is considered unofficial as it was mastered from bootlegs and released without permission by the NEMS label in 1980.
Cada álbum es sin duda una obra maestra. Podría decir que Black Sabbath es la meca del Rock y el Heavy Metal. Sólo no maltraten los Vinilos y los Books por favor!! 😨
Be interesting to know if the box set was mastered from the original stereo master tapes or a DSD copy of the original stereo master tapes (which is what most labels are doing these days).
I think he forgot "Heaven And Hell" , "Live At Last", "Mob Rules", "Live Evil", "Born Again", "Seventh Star", "The Eternal Idol" to mention a few.... 😃
An extremely good band, the first six album are the essence of metal and the seventh and eighth are quite good too. It is still frustrating that the response for the declining album sales is to create box-sets which cost a lot. Ozzy Osbourne already released a box-set most fans can't afford. Also Tool released their new album with 120 € price tag (and you get also crappy 2W loudspeakers which wouldn't satisfy even Ariana Grande fans, even my old CD-player has 12 W loudspeakers). Now this band wants your money. They sold their last EP with the price of 80 euros. Does Ozzy need money for hospital bills or those useless purchase he already bought in The Osbournes. Has he lost his mind? He sings about himself in "Iron Man". LOL Just kidding, but I am afraid most fans cannot afford it.
BLACK SABBATH & OZZY OSBOURNE FOR EVER..... VINYL COLLECTION = COOL.....BIG GREETINGS FROM SWITZERLAND, MARIO P. (BLACK SABBATH-FREAK!!), CH-LUCERNE. BYE & HAPPY WEEKEND............

Careful with that stuff! On the other hand, being european, there was not one Vertigo Swirl in sight. I have the original Vertigos which are all excellent vintage products. And at the end of the day, reissues are sort of fake, so the the only stuff I wouldn't throw away would be the tour booklets.
The fact that none of the members bothered to unpack this release, shows that they didn't really care about this re-release vinyl box... It's nice though.
A Black Sabbath classic collection without Heaven And Hell, Mob Rules and Born Again is disgusting! Ozzy was never the leader of the band. You can say the Dio or the Gillan era is a different Black Sabbath, but you can't erase the history of the band and the great band that Black Sabbath kept on growing strong on and on, even without Ozzy!
Showing us the records with the same grace that a kid who hates his present on christmas would do.
was it pissing everyone else off when he wasnt putting the records back in the cases
Yes very much so
The guy's just a FUCKING ASSHOLE carelessly throwing the next on top of the last.
Without a doubt. He just threw everything around with disrespect-what a dick cheese 🧀

Treat your record collection with ❤,
Sir.
I had all of these albums when I was younger. My mom pitched them all after she saw the "Sabbath Bloody Sabbath" cover.
1:35 it was supposed be called “War Piggers,” according to Geezer in several interviews.
i don't care what anyone says, Never Say Die is an excellent record. and without question one of the greatest record covers anywhere, ever.
It's a masterpiece. I love that album
Love that album!
