I'm actually gonna cry because there's a senior in my marching band in school he plays the tenors and we have senior night awhile ago and its crazy to thing that this was my last band season with him and at football games he would play jig 2 blindfolded for the student section and now it just like 😭😭
Good morning, this is video #32 of asking for cowbells inside of and on every drum and cymbal in a huge drumset made out of every random percussion instrument you can find (this does mean that a cowbell should be inside of a cowbell)
This is video #88 of requesting Eric to do another "Behind the Gock Block" Episode. -=-=-=-=-=-= #88 -=-=-=-=-=-=-= The last episode was 10-20-2020! It's time for Eric to bring back all of his characters!

I have a quick question, hello everyone my name is Emry and I have a visual impairment. I Ip in the Ohio State school for the blind marching band, everyone who participates in the band, plays regular instruments, such as percussion, low, brass, and woodwind. For a while, I marched bass drum, but I just started on quads, I’m pretty good, but I’ve really been wanting to learn jig, too learn jig two for a spring concert solo. Do you have any advice for someone who is blind, but would like to learn how to play jig two play jig two. I have experience playing all, and any percussion instruments, I practice on my own time, because I am pursuing a music career and I would like to do college marching band eventually. If you have any advice or steps for me, that would be great if you could share them. Thank you, have a good day.
Not a fan of this trend for some reason if I still marched would replace this with split threes around the drums or something more visual with the same notes.
Does it ever really have to be 4/4 3/4 4/4 3/4 5/4 4/4??? Can’t you just have one single bar of 3/4 and then 4/4 with no more changes??? I know the _feel_ changes but I’ve always felt it’s kinda clunky to just slide 5/4 after 3/4 going into 4/4🤷♀️
Good morning! This is video 148 of me asking for a drumline gym made out of various marching percussion instruments, such as the tenor barbell, and bass drumbbells.
That’s not at all how I hear the pattern, honestly 😅 I’ve been hearing it all my life as completely in 4/4 until the second to last bar, where it goes to 3/4 and then the final descending slow triplets are back in 4/4… But the symmetry of this subdivision has me questioning everything lol
You should do jig 2 on timpani!
I think Kyle the Cadet did
@@gavin_bigred oh fr?
Read that as "on the treadmill." 👀😳😂

Time to become triple drummer to do jig 2 right in it. Also bounce.

Thank you, I've been learning how to play that part for 2 months

I think it’s the speed that if difficult.

Forgot to switch accounts, I see
You didn’t play it right, you need a crowd of screaming high school girls
This on bongos slap😮💨🤌
Ngl you could do eruption by Van Halen with snare drums
Long live the Jig!
Ah makes perfect sense 😂
Thank you bro

I don’t know why but any time you see a video of someone playing quads it’s this cadence. As if there are no other cadences out there.
Not a fan of this trend for some reason if I still marched would replace this with split threes around the drums or something more visual with the same notes.
Our quints player can play this while being held upside down
dam
Im beginning on drums and i still dont know how to do the 3 notes on each drum, every time i try it just turns into rolls or with only 2 notes.
the only thing that would trip me up playing jig 2 is i would hit the rims and it would irritate the heck out of me
How to have faster hands? Does it depend on the tuning of the drums?
Practice with pillows cause they have no rebound it will really help with hand speed
