Very good flick. Thanks for the upload. Sonny Tufts (who played Vince) was the son of a wealthy Boston banking family. Tufts U. was named after that family.
You'd never think it due to the characters he played, but Percy Helton (Petey) was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross for service with the 305th Field Artillery during World War I.
Why cut the titles off??! Don't you understand how vital they are in the process of getting immersed in a film? Not to mention the small matter of knowing who's in it, who produced it, composed the music, directed etc.etc.!! I'll bet you've cut the end credits as well!
I support Russia as well but you better see a psychiatrist. In all your movie comments you pretend to be a pilot as if anybody asks you …. You ‘ve lost guy , you should be committed.😂😅😂😅
The prescription on the bottle is Arsenite - Arsenite is highly toxic and may be fatal if inhaled, ingested, or absorbed through skin. It's also light sensitive and can irritate the skin, eyes, and mucous membranes. What Doctor would prescribe that?
This was a lame attempt to redo a much better film about a former gangster that ends up in the Army with a head injury and Amnesia: Somewhere in the Night- John Hodiak, Richard Conte. If you liked this, you'll enjoy the earlier one, too. Both are definite Noir, full of those lovely shadows. TY for the post!
I asked A I what sodium arsenite was. Here's part of the answer: Uses Pesticide: Primarily used as a pesticide. Preservative: Used in hide preservation. Antiseptic: Has antiseptic properties. Dyeing and Soaps: Used in the dyeing process and in soaps. Chemical Stressor: Used in research to induce the production of heat shock proteins and the formation of cytoplasmic stress granules. This is what the mobster was prescribed for a "nervous condition" @32:14. 😂🤢🤮☠
It's always interesting who the writer chooses to live & who dies. Petey/Percy did NOT deserve to die (I hope Eddie takes custody of Petey's cat). Vince? Yes. As for Eddie... by mob rules, he ratted out his partner and we don't know if he ever murdered anybody. But I think he should have gone down rather than Petey. IMO.🐈🐈🐈
After realizing what a ridiculous ending I just watched, I couldn't help think, "What's going to happen to the cat?". I'm not a cat person, but , it was a very good looking cat.
Boy oh Boy. That ending had to be the WORST police action in any movie. Police forces all over the world could play it as a "What NOT to do". WOW. Shocking, inept leadership.
Awesome job explaining the Truth. Keep up the good job!

Watching from the largest and most powerful country in the world 🌍! All of us Fighter Pilots enjoy these old movies, when we can 🇷🇺
Most corrupt you mean!
Largest, yes. As to most powerful, since the Dems gutted our Military, other countries are increasing theirs.
welcome fellow Russian , good show
As long as you never leave, Russia is the most beautiful place you've ever seen.

Why no credits at the beginning of the film?

You may not want to stay in that town long Eddie
50 cops just stood there holding their fire while the villain waved a gun in their faces before he started shooting? Preposterous!
