01-29-2025 I really enjoy watching these classic black & white films. The actors seam a lot better looking than the ones of today. CLASS can't be faked. ❤ from 🇨🇱
Terrific movie. Ford was much bettr actor when younger. He was mor sensitive and showed mor emotion. I liked him older too but just wasnt the same. Gr8 story/plot and convincing acting my most. Recommend 👍
Just a hunch but I don´t think his decomposed brain 6´ft under has access to RUclips comments, but that´s just me. American? "I love the uneducated"- Donald Trump America’s deplorable 45th& 47thPOTUS the convicted felon (34 counts), adjudicated rapist, convicted of defamation, repeatedly convicted business fraudster, state and federal quadruply indicted (91 counts) of some of the most serious crimes in a democratic republic, Vietnam War repeatedly criminally fraudulently draft-dodger, infamously unprecedented dishonest Republican, Christian supported (adulterer with all three wives) Donald Trump referring to WW1 American Veterans that gave their life for their country as “losers & suckers” according to one of four of Trump’s Chiefs-of-Staff General Kelly.
Nice early "noir-ish" roles for both Ford and then 25 year old Nina Foch. An unusual, but delightful pair-up too.👌 A well characterized, classic plot scenario navigating the entrenched machinations of post WWII crime syndicate bribery.... 😰 The court scene of the judge switching juries in the last minute was a critical story line tact successfully duplicated in 1987s masterful film "The Untouchables", with Kevin Costner and Sean Connery. 👍
Loved this movie. On a side note I noticed that the theme music(George Duning 1949) in this films intro and outro is very simular to the 1966 tv series "The FBI" theme music (Richard Markowitz 1966) the arrangements are slightly differentnt but many of the musical notes are the same. Weird huh?
Those hard-working, selfless T-men are so great! Going after people who live in big houses and don't pay enough taxes. We should triple their budget and get rid of those pesky civil rights that get in the way of them getting the bad guys. I think this movie accurately portrays the problem.
53:00 no idea how a Souuthern Pacific Railroad Locomotive made it all the way to Tower City, Pa. When the town and region was still served by The Reading Railroad at this time. He should've taken his wife out immediately to Paxinos (Meadowview) near Shamokin and hidden her with my grandparents.
The same way the Star Spangled Banner referring to ramparts means that airport ramparts existed at that time according to the "very-stable genius" Donald Trump.

Glenn Ford was a Unicorn who could play sensitive guy and tough guy equally well. Under rated is absolutely a descriptive of this amazing actor!
Love Glenn Ford!! R.I.P.
Thank you for posting
Opening remarks are very prescient and today, the "Big Fellow"gets the keys to the Whitehouse.

Another movie with Robert Osterloh! It opens with a great shot of a Southern Pacific "Daylight."
EXCELLENT MOVIE AND ACTOR'S
THANK YOU.
R.I.P. Glenn Ford
Since everyone in or connected with this motion picture may be deceased, do they also not deserve a R.I.P ?
5th we'll
Never see actors of this magnitude again.

Thanks!
I saw in the credits that " The Big Fellow" was played any US President.
What a fine movie and a great ending, but it this doesn't concern you LO.L
Thanks very much
Thanks S C 🇺🇸
Barry Kelly, Howard St John... very interesting actor's.
How would the bad guys suddenly know everytime someone was going to give our hero valuable info and where exactly they would be ????
It's a good movie
They certainly seemed to enjoy shooting a wild duck so, I'm no longer concerned about the lack of seatbelts.
The opening narrator sounds like John Ireland.
Just like him. Probably is.
