I saw this movie many years ago, it was so good. I don’t remember everything that happened I only saw it once, but I was impressed with it!

Filmed in Paris, August 1962. Jean Seberg (1938-1979) & Philippe Forquet (1940-2020). She played a 19 year old, but was 23, he played a 21 year old, his correct age.

Critics were/are harsh about this film. Yes it's slow, but it's interesting to see how this kind of unhealthy relationships happens even in a mental institute. Mistakes still happens to this day. It's too bad that this picture didn't get the recognition it deserved. I know Warren was difficult on set but I like the fact that he stayed friendly with Jean, calling her to take news and support her when her career & life took a dark turn when in the late 60's-early 70's, she stood up for civil rights and highly payed the price for it. Harrassment from the FBI, engaging herself into bad toxic relationships, loss of a baby, deep depression, adventures without tomorrow and in my opinion her last relationship with a young dangerous algerian guy who had a part of responsability in her tragic end. Jean was in advance on her time, she was misunderstood and got persecuted and humiliated publicly for it. She slowly lost her mind but I still think she was a brave soul who aspired to freedom at a time when people of all races were not supposed to be. An inspiration. Rip Angel Jean ❤. You are loved & remembered !

People caught him leaving the mental institute and then he goes towards them, saying : " Help me, instead of saying Help poor Lilith dying ! ". Vincent is lost and realized that he's not made for this job, but that's cruel of him to not having a word for the girl he had affection for ! Most men are nothing but cowards and it's getting worst & worst with time. Nothing positive to expect from them. Not hating, just saying !

He's attracted physically to her but his body language doesn't indicate that he truly cares about her as a person, her history who leads her there, he just pretends when in reality...he seems bored & indifferent. He doesn't have the skills to be a true therapist clearly.

Appreciate your presentation of this unsung film. The first 45 minutes is intriguing, but became pedestrian by the stock characters and predictable storyline. That is, until Jean Seberg’s touching performance in the final scene.

This is an adult topic and presented in an adult and fair way. Without hysterics or severe moral judgements and guilt, it takes a look into relations most of us can relate to. Both sides were considered in the story. We all have heard of or experienced this in our own lives. I like and appreciate a film such as this. It was well worth watching. Great acting and an interesting story.

Watched many of Anthony Quin.'s movies in.my younger days.An icon actor.

This movie is a camp mess , however that wonderful, rollicking version of "Kay Keisers, There goes that song again" deserves a revisit ! It's nowhere to be found and I wish the film would get a full soundtrack release like so many other classic horror films.
