Which parkrun should I visit next?!
Chelsea Bicentennial Parkrun, Victoria, Australia, just sayin’…
@@sifi7950 on the bucket list
Bit of a trek but be good to see you visit us up here in Scotland at Hay lodge park 🤔👊
Southend. Was it you I see at Chelmsford Marathon yesterday? If not I said “ahh it’s Ben is running” to a randomer lol
Widnes
Hey Ben, we have the same kettle. Wish we had the same Parkrun time too.
Brilliant 😂 your half way there!
We have the same park run time, wish we had the same kettle
Great work mate, like your typical internet stalker I had a look at your parkrun results history - 20:xx to 15:xx is amazing in 2 years mate, could be a good topic for a vid, training history, increase in consistency or something?
Believe it or not that’s my most popular upload 😂
@@BenIsRunning haha I'll have a search 😂
Well done Ben ! congrats on your sub 16 5K.
I feel like Tansy gave you all her positive energy..oh my gosh such a lovely spirit! on to the next now !
🏆
She certainly did! Need her to come along to everyone with me :)
awesome filming, great that you got friends who do cool video shots of you and even doing interviews with volunteers to soak up the atmosphere. With the help of your friends, the channel will grow massively.
Thank you! Yes tansy did a great job! Brought her a bag of coffee to say thankyou, had no idea she was such a natural interviewer 😂
I love how supportive your mate is
What a legend ;) Had the best morning with ya Felton!! Massive shoutout to the mums and dads pushing buggies and smashing their runs too!
Good job Tansy and nice to meet you! 👍
Thanks for you services! I had no idea you were such a good interviewer 😂
@@dickwillymoore Great to meet you Runner Rick!
The series should be called "Winning every parkrun in UK" haha
That does have a ring to it aha!
Ben wins Alice Holt Parkrun does sound decent tbf. Not sure you could hack it though?
@@harrynewt0n go away troll
Tansy, hilarious. Nice job mate, very quick.
She’s a star! Thank you mate
Awesome running Ben and thanks for coming and cheering us all on at Chelmsford marathon on Sunday. I recommend lanhydrock parkrun in Cornwall, tough and scenic but a hell of a drive from Chelmsford as I’ve found out this weekend!
Hi Mike! It was great spectating the marathon, definitely gave me my dose of inspiration for the week! Still not sure whether 26.2 miles is for me 😂 I’ll add it to the list and maybe can incorporate it into a short holiday. Have you every done the Eden project parkrun?
@@BenIsRunning yes Eden is nice. much faster than lanhydrock as you start higher up than you finish and nice to look around the site afterwards… only issue is it’s not restarted yet since lockdown eased, we’re still hopeful it will restart soon!
Lanhydrock is absolutely brutal good to see what you can get though.
Randomly clicked on this video and while watching it I was like "This looks familiar". I only do the Norwich parkrun once a year on New year's Day but I try to do the nearby Catton parkrun one every week. I really enjoyed your video and can't wait to see more in the future.
I’d be doing this one every week if I lived nearer! Really enjoyed it. Thanks for following along! At Colchester Castle parkrun next week if you fancy a day trip :)
parkrun once a year? do better.
@@oscarmunguia1104 if you read my comment properly you would realise I said I do the parkrun at Catton every week but do the Norwich parkrun on New Year's Day.
Well done Ben 👍🏻 Tansy is hilarious btw 😁
Thank you :) She certainly is!!
Awesome vids Ben, I'm a fairly new runner but struggling to crack 27mins for 5k.i will get that 25mins I'm aiming for.keep up the great work.
You’ll get it in no time! Keep working hard 👊🏻
2am; running vicariously!
Well done Ben. Quite envious, I can only get as far as Tesco. On a bike... Thanks for the coffee!
Thanks Rob. You've got tansy's great filming to thank for the coffee, hope you enjoy it!
Just saw your first vid.. awesome!!!
Cheers Nixon 👍
Loving the new parkrun vids recommend poole parkrun for a sub 15👀
If it’s a guaranteed sub 15 I’ll be there every week! It’s on my list :)
Outrageous time mate 😂😂 well done !!
Thanks Tom
International star ⭐
Thank you K
You don't half make my 21.19 PB look so easy ... Great video Park run video keep them coming please 🙂👏
Thanks Stephen 😂
@@BenIsRunning oops I didn't type the 'them' 😅
Great video Ben!! Sub 16 yesss 💪. Catching up with your videos now matey 👍
Cheers Stephen, need to take a look at yours!
Well done! Good to see my nearest parkrun on your channel, and The Greengrocers is always a great choice for breakfast 👍
Thanks simon! It’s definitely my favourite course yet and think it’ll take some beating! It certainly was, very reasonably priced too! Coffee got my seal of approval 👍
@@BenIsRunning They serve Stranger’s Coffee: Norwich roasted and probably the finest that you can get in the city ☕️
@@simonjameswright1 I was always more of a kofra fan boy when I lived there but it’s great how strangers now supply a lot of the smaller cafes! The unthank kitchen is another one that I’m used to serve strangers, not sure if they still do :)
New subscriber here 🙋
Thanks for the great videos!
Welcome! Thank you
Love this, I had a similar experience at my local park run in high school, was the first place I broke 20min.
Gives it that nostalgic feeling! Really enjoying doing them every week again :)
So lovely seeing you back in Norwich :)
You weren’t there.
Våga if you guys read this I'm sure you do. Make a Ben voucher code i will only buy one(cap) if i can use a Ben is running code .
Hopefully we can make this happen!!!
What a buzz that must be! 2 months in running and I’m at 21/22 minute 5k. Hoping to see a 20 minute before the end of the year.
Sick jacket as well 😎
Brings back a few memories as I went to UEA as well albeit bit before you LOL - 1985 to 1992 when finally had to get a job! I understand there is also now one at Colney Lane where we had a grass track before the all weather one opened. Did this parkrun fairly early in its life in 2010. I think you need to do one of the very slowest/hardest parkruns according to my rankings. Can you beat even 20 mins on the all beach one at Great Yarmouth North Beach. Nobody has yet...
That’s pretty cool! We should do the colney lane one together for a uni alumni reunion! I believe it’s all on grass around the sports fields :) That Great Yarmouth one sounds great 👍
Tansy saying LEGEND a 100x was hilarious
What can I say, I must be one 😂😂
I’m not going to buy zooki due to all the gdpr, so you’ll here back from me about another turmeric infusion. Thank you so much for the great video you’ve made !
That's crazy
great run ben! Enjoying watching your progress from down under 'Brisbane Aus'
Awesome thank you! Enjoy your summer👊🏻
Tansy: "...legend..." 😅
😂👏🏻😂👏🏻
Nice race! I really enjoy getting to see the beautiful countryside on these courses. Keep inspiring!
Wow great run and time!
Thanks Michael
Awesome! Well done Ben 🙌
Thanks buddy
Congrats, well done on the Parkrun 💪, very excited about yourzooki will try out this product,..let's see the outcome
Awesome! Please keep me posted on how you get on as would love to add other runners experience into my 4 week review video :)
Well done Ben..Did my first ParkRun this weekend.. Love it
Awesome! You’ll be hooked for life now…be in the 100 club before you know it :)
Great to meet you Ben and well done in the sub 16! 🙌😄
Was a pleasure! Still can’t believe you won the massage gun 😱😱
Awesome time Ben. You are on fire! I normally go to the Colchester Castle parkrun each weekend so hopefully I’ll see you there on Saturday!
Thanks Adam :)
great video! congrat.!
Thank you Roman, thanks for you continued support
Great running Ben, see you in Colchester 👍
Thank you! See you there :)
Just got this in my YT feed and loved your content Ben and the presentation....subscribed after watching and great time for the parkrun...,I think you can easily shave some time off too...greetings from Brisbane.,
Thank you Kevin! Good to hear RUclips is pushing the video to the right people. How you enjoy following along
Great video ! Tansy was very funny putting you on he he , but her camera is shaking too much - maybe less coffee for Tansy next time 😀
Thank you Ivan! Aha, I don't think she'd had coffee before but we certainly had 3/4 after :)
Jacket 🔥🔥🔥
It certainly stands out! Was nicknames the carrot at my old running club… everyone has to chase me 😂😂
Congratulations on the time wow really awesome, and as always an amazing video.
Thanks Eben, appreciate your support as always 👊🏻
Eaton is still my fastest Park run, a modest 19:11, but not bad for over 40! (non running back ground) I'm now 55 and trying to get back into running shape...
Great video again mate. It’s great to seeing you doing really well. Love it 🙌
Thanks Sam!
New to your channel. Loving it. Brill time.
Thank you Chris! Hope you enjoy following along:)
I think you're a legend
😂😂 I must be! Randy only said it 300 times
I'm volunteer co-ordinator at Colchester on Saturday so I'll see you then, will also share your vlog on our Facebook page for others to see after if you do one!
That’s great! Thank you Ben, see you then :)
Nice work Ben. What a beautiful looking park too! Nice and flat course. Do you think lapping the other runners may have slowed you down a bit? It looks like they gave you a fair amount of room to get around them but I wonder if that may have cost a few seconds. Either way, enjoyed the video and it looks like your training is coming together nicely.
I had to take a few corners wider and did bump into one poor lady! As parkruns go these paths were pretty wide and that made it fairly easy to pass people :) thanks for your support Eddie 👊🏻
@@BenIsRunning I've had races like this before too. I ran the Las Vegas marathon one year and merged into the half marathoners and it was shoulder to shoulder. I was running about 8:15's per mile and they were running 10 min per mile. Not fun. You always inspire me to train hard.
Loved it, thank you!
And thank you! :)
You’re on 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thanks Chris! Fitness on the rise 🤞🏻

hoping you dont visit my local parkrun where i hold the top spot but will likely be savaged by you! great work bud
Keep the location disclosed 🤪
I live in norwich but study in Lincoln! Gutted not to be there I would have come down !
Ah that’s a shame! Will have to come run at Lincoln parkrun:)

Absolutely outstanding, awesome run Ben
Thank you :)
Love to see the consistency in content.
Well done Ben.

Hi Ben when are you coming down to the southwest I am in Bristol be great to see you at many of the parkrun`s which we have down this way . only been following you within the last few months . That's unreal
Thanks Kray :)
Looks like a great course, and a top effort by Ben
Thank you Paul
Great vid
Thanks dean 👊🏻👊🏻
Truly amazing I wish I was as good at you.
Absolutely incredible and inspirational. If you hadn't been filming it all, you might have got sub 15 😄.
New subscriber and loving this parkrun series!
My afternoon watching sorted. Just gotta finish work first 😭🙌🏻
😂 I’d clock of early if I were you! This ones a good one 🤞🏻
@@BenIsRunning I’ll see what my gaffer says 😂😂
Just Subscribed you should visit Andover Parkrun nice and flat need a pacer aswell
Sick time mate!
Nice work. I can't run sub 30 5k. Lol
Thanks opus
Will you be coming up north on your adventures ben? Maybe Heaton park ? 🤔
I’ll add it to the growing list Marcus 👊🏻
Amazing run! (considering i do my 5km in 29 mins, you crush it) haha Btw I would highly recommend Curcumin, Its the main active compound within Turmeric. Its a better option, though a tad harder to find.
Whitstable down in Kent
That sounds lovely! Used to go on holiday there when I was a kid
i’d recommend some of the sheffield parkrun
endcliffe park parkrun has some fast times (overall record is a 14:48, from memory)
The latest Tinman video over breakfast? Very similar to my routine :)
Yeah you spotted correctly! Really enjoy watching the how the pros get it done :)
My first parkrun too! Great video! Also what jacket is that? it's absolute fire!
It’s a great course! It’s a wind runner jacket from Nike, had It a few years now but just dug it out again for the winter training
@@BenIsRunning cheers!!
@@alecfrancis2084 no problem thank you :)
Just got myself a team vaga hat they need to give you your own code ❤
Awesome! I love mine 👊🏻 that would be cool :)
that Sweat Elite motivation....
Nice vid Ben enjoying the series! What’s your max HR just out of interest, 177 doesn’t seem too high for someone your age!
My max is 190 but rarely get to that. 185 is fairly common for a hard track session :)
@@BenIsRunning thanks for the reply! how did you test your max ? I’ve got up to 193 in a track session but I think it might be a shade bit higher
@@nathanmedlam8988 your maximum heart rate is 220 - (your age)
@@dylanneville3562 That's a very arbitrary way of looking at it. It's actually very specific to an individual (I'm 24 and my max HR isn't 196)
👌👌👌👏👏👏
Maybe you already know that the plant based diet is anti inflammatory, which is great for post recovery.
“When I started I was a 24 minute 5k runner”
Me looking at my 26 minute PB after a year of running: 😶
We all got to start somewhere! You’ll be a sub 20 guy in no time ;)
@@BenIsRunning well watching all the vlogs has got to be worth at least a minute off my PB
haha. I'm 23min after 6 months, but all my attempts to reach 20 are big failure! Keep it going
@@adriengoux I started at like 37 mins for a 5k so I’ve made good progress!
Wow sub 16 while passing all of those people
Certainly makes it a bit more of a challenge:)
Hilly fields or Dulwich parkrun
Is that heavy carrying the stick Ben? - Have you done Horsham Parkrun?
It’s actually not on a stick the camera fits in the palm of my hand and weighs next to nothing so actually not to bad :)
When do you plan on running bushy it’s a must do
Probably in the next few weeks :)
This video length should of been 15:48 😁 would of been epic!
Noted 😜
Hi Ben. I was just wondering what you use to video your running? Looks compact and just what I'm looking for. Thanks
Mate you gotta come to kings lynn and smash the course record same guy wins every week and I’d love to see him beat usually winner runs 16:20 it’s flat and lapped come on Ben
That does sound like a good challenge! Ill add it to the list :)
tansi fancys ya
I’m 12. I’ve got a 18:55 pb at 5k and 19:42 parkrun pb. How do I become a better runner?
What's the plan for this weekends park run? :)
I know I'm super late to comment on this video and you may already know this by now, but careful flashing your parkrun barcode on videos like that. People could really jack up your parkrun results by running as Ben at their local parkruns
Im 15 and run a 17.14 on a really bad parkrun course
Come to amsterdam parkrun. You can be my 🐇🐇🐇😜
I’d love to come to amsterdam! Bet it’s a flat course :)
@@BenIsRunning 😆👌👌👌
11:12 mins faster than my PB 26:50 is mine on a flattish one
