I've lost count how many times I've dug 50cm down into what I thought to be virgin ground to get a rust ball. Heart goes from racing to stopped. Always hard to work out the gender of our Royals, bless them 🤣. Sub'ed in and waiting for your next one.

Well presented vid mate. Just stumbled across the channel, you can count a fresh sub now 🤙 Sick looking coin man, never seen one before, could be a nail in it, a lot of old coins were holed and fed through string or wire or something of the likes and the old boys would basically stap it to themselves so they wouldn't lose them. Potentially a reason for yours.
Keep the vids coming man, I enjoyed it. 🍻

@Swing_n_Ping_Prospecting Thanks for watching and the subscription! I initially thought it was an old threepence but was pleasantly surprised. I have found coins with holes, but never a nail through it. I like your theory! Cheers mate.

    Gday mate.
I know its difficult but sometimes it pays to detect the side walls of the test holes.
    New sub 🤙🇦🇺

@@adzoutnabout8666 Thanks for watching and following along! I have found gold that way, but try to get creative and think of unique spots to detect. I have an interesting video coming out soon that hopefully you will enjoy!

I’ve detected old settlement sites and have found Georgian half pennies holed in the middle and have the same as you with the remains of a rusted nail in the top edge.
I have been told the middle hole was used to put string through and looped so coins don’t get lost and the other top edge holed coins were nailed above doorways to dwellings

My parents lived in bealiba for 10 yrs from 91 to 01 opposite the tennis court in the A frame place, my old man swore until his passing in Feb 2021 that 1 early morning he seen a big black cat walking almost skulking along in the creek bed that cut through the block of land behind their house. He doesn't know if It went through the culvert under Davies Street, or if it followed the creek that splits off to the north but it disappeared
