    Fergus, Thank You. Brilliant and insightful as always. Being outdoors in all conditions and weathers, has altered my life beyond belief. My mental health is key and without structure and giving back to others and my community, well i dread to think what could have happened. And indeed 5 am starts! Not for everyone but vital for me.     I have the same habits of planning my day the night before and reading a little bit everyday. Thanks for the book recommendations! I also love to start my day with a gym workout or a run!

    I'd love to see a video on how you balance your training, wake up schedule, workload etc. with your relationship. This looks like an ideal life for me if I was single but I think I'd drive my SO nuts if I tried to do most of it! Great work as always Fergus!

    My only additions would be Wim Hofs breathing and cold plunges, used in sync with your points, outside, first thing (routine 5am) etc.

    Much to go at there, I particularly like 'do hard stuff'. Pushing towards and past your limits with (sometimes alarming) frequency is one sure-fire way to build.

    Great video Fergus and definitely the early morning starts as a triathlete I can relate to. Training for the Celtman this year and the volume is just about to start ramping up. Stay in Kirkliston so OW swims in Threipmuir will have to commence sometime soon although not particularly looking forward to it! All the best with your challenges this year.

    Training first thing in the morning was the gamechanger for me. Only Chance to get the work in and still spend time with the wife and kids. I'm usually done before they wake up. The evening ist family time.

    I have adopted some of these habits to what I have been doing and making me feel a lot better.
    Would be good to do a review of other trainer apps and programmes out there to see how they compare to getting a trainer doing it! Thanks stu

    love your content mate. Currently doing 16km most days and trying to build muscle. your suggestion of eating back 90% of running calories has really helped so thanks! Keep the videos coming matey x

      Great to hear man, although 16km most days sounds like an awful lot of volume unless you're training to 100km+ ultrarunning!

      It's a banger - but not as good as effortless, I feel the premise of essentialism can be neatly summarised through Blinkist or diluted down into the key points, as the message is so clear it doesn't necessarily need the full book to hit home!

    My problem is my job I work 12 hour shifts day shift and Nightshift so can’t get to into a good routine every week. But stil tryin to aim for tritahlon

      Créate apretura for each shift and leave 1 day off for the switch.

      A only have one day between Nightshift and dayshift
      Finish Monday morning 630and back starting dayshift at 630am on Wednesday mornin
      it’s a weird shift pattern . Still struggling away while chasing triathlon dreams 🤣

I feel your pain man, I was doing tri whilst working shifts on the railways, found the whole thing difficult to manage tbh, but I made it worse by not getting enough sleep so I was alway fighting colds etc that’s the one thing I would advise is get enough sleep!

      The one that suits your requirements! Forerunner range upwards is generally best bet!
