People show it off in many different ways and the way Fatuma did was through geography and being able to pinpoint locations. Also, intelligence is literally how you use your knowledge.

I live in Europe but spent an exchange year in the U.S. and even though the classes were easy, they weren't too easy, the main reason is the use of multiple choice. Honors classes are similar to European standard classes and AP is pretty much the same and IB classes might be a bit harder, since they have a lot of work to do. :)

Hamza Actually, nowadays most people from Maghreb come from Arab descent (migration that happened a long time ago from the Middle East to spread Islam) when they are not Berber. I assume as a Moroccan /Algerian that this is how we call ourselves, this appellation is accurate. People usually get wrong when they think that Arabs are only living in the M-E, forgetting the existence of the North African countries or even Somalia which are members of the Arab League. Now on, the Arab population goes from Oman to Mauritania, so yes, Tunisians are Arabs. The girl is smart.

@@sowhat... It is in the culture to be loud and funny. Also, 30 years ago there was a horrible war, so the people of Bosnia had to face death, concentratiom camps and hunger. Those experiences made them very humble. If they have something to eat, they are satisfied.

And yes, Bosnians are humble and love to eat (who doesn't) but the best thing about my hommies is that they know how to laugh and have fun, their humour is the best in region.

I think it depends on your upbringing and when were you born, I am polish, born in 86' and I remember all the news about the war in Bosnia (to be honest I don't remember much about Croatia in it,but I was a kiddo), so when he said that the war in his country was 30years ago - it was easy to connect the dots that he's either Bosnian or Serb : ) Definitely she is educated on a world's history. Kudos to her.
The reason the Bosnian guy was freaking out is that most people, especially young folks, rarely even know us. For such a young girl with her background to be knowledgeable about the Bosnian war in the 90s and the following mass emigration which led to that guy emigrating to the US is quite a thing.

This whole thing, proves how the public school system in the US is NOT prepping us like other countries! 🤣 This woman isn't only beautiful but she is Brilliant and super intelligent! I know she made her parents proud. 💙 SN: this is not a knock to EVERY American that went to public schools. It's a joke, I have friends that attended public school and well versed in geography and were blessed that their families could travel and expose them to other countries. But I notice that people outside of America "holiday" and vacation to other countries and I personally don't know many Americans that had the pleasure of experiencing other countries. Most of my friends are now traveling out of the country as adults. I'm not able to travel like I would LOVE! I'm very intrigued by people of different backgrounds and research countries so I can teach my children. 💙
Many people can learn outside of the influence of their public educational systems as well. As a brazilian growing up learning from the public system, a lot of my knowledge comes from my own endeavours and research by meeting people from outside the country, internet, books etc etc etc. The advantage of living in the 21st century is that you can learn a lot of geography and culture regardless of where you live. I also didn't know Saipan existed. They don't teach world geography in America. The closest thing to a geography class we get is in elementary school when we have to memorize all of the states and their capital.

Fair enough I originally thought he was Turkish but it makes sense now as Bosnia has strong links historically to Turkey

People usually get wrong when they think that Arabs are only living in the M-E, forgetting the existence of the North African countries or even Somalia which are members of the Arab League. Now on, the Arab population goes from Oman to Mauritania, so yes, Tunisians are Arabs. The girl is smart.

SN: this is not a knock to EVERY American that went to public schools. It's a joke, I have friends that attended public school and well versed in geography and were blessed that their families could travel and expose them to other countries. But I notice that people outside of America "holiday" and vacation to other countries and I personally don't know many Americans that had the pleasure of experiencing other countries. Most of my friends are now traveling out of the country as adults.
I'm not able to travel like I would LOVE! I'm very intrigued by people of different backgrounds and research countries so I can teach my children. 💙
Many people can learn outside of the influence of their public educational systems as well. As a brazilian growing up learning from the public system, a lot of my knowledge comes from my own endeavours and research by meeting people from outside the country, internet, books etc etc etc. The advantage of living in the 21st century is that you can learn a lot of geography and culture regardless of where you live.
