Great video, the difficult fishing added to the video , it was great seeing your approach and little tweaks as the match progressed , very informative 👍
Great video this is its making me really want to get another week booked up at doclow had the best time there a few years ago on my own n fished a match most days and loved every minute of it. It’s a very tricky but also very rewarding venue when you get it right 💯. Brilliant stuff Mikey, happy days buddy 👍🏻
Don’t mean it to sound wrong but nice to see things not always going right a lot of the vids you watch you see the best bits and the appearance of a fish every Chuck. Great vid
I’m sure we have all had days with missed mugging fish. They go down for the bait or change angle when they hear the “plop”. The swirls happen and we still miss them ! Some days it just doesn’t go to plan !
That was a brilliant watch Mr Dragon 🏴. So nice to see all the unlucky bits - glad it's not just me! Out of interest - what weight of worms did you use? I reckon paste would be a killer method on there.
Good job mate, what a beautiful venue. Where you were fishing it looks like some snaggy old neglected stretch of a canal. Best of all, casters, hemp and worms kinda old school. No much fishing like that where I live except the Tiverton and Blackstone river state park, not quite as picturesque.
Great video and venue. Well done Mickey, lost fish 😢. Although a commercial fishery it's not carp oriented and silvers can make a difference. Not been there for about 10 yrs.
Your making some awesome videos mate, really useful as you are talking us through your thought process which certainly helps me think about my matches differently - some of best videos around, keep them coming!
Had great times there on fishing holidays at the start of the 90s, when it was a handful of pools and kids were allowed to stay! The breakfasts and half chicken and chips for tea were as good as the fishing 👌
Sorry for the late reply. Fantastic video as always Mikey I highly recommend that you subscribe to Dragon Angling for way more great videos and advice great channel On 👍 guru guys keep on posting really amazing videos love them all
Well, Mikey, This video put a smile on my face for most of it and that's just the tonic I need with a wife that moans at me almost every day. Thank you and well done on a well-deserved second place.
Your wrong it's not the oldest fisheries in the uk me and my mates used to fish one in Warrington Cheshire call Rixston clay pits in the 80s a old bloke was telling us all about the place we would go on a Saturday with saws to cut branches 3inch so we could get round know one had finished it in years from the 60s then when word got out about the place Warrington Anglers took it over it was brilliant for BIG TENCH AND CARP
Great video, the difficult fishing added to the video , it was great seeing your approach and little tweaks as the match progressed , very informative 👍
Brilliant vid Mikey, nice to see the thinking behind everything, keep it up mate
Thank you for the positive feedback Steve! 🙌
Great video again. Think you’re one of most entertaining anglers to watch. 👍

A challenging match but with sensible match weights and definitely not a fishing race! Like it.
Awesome mikey always learning from these videos your like an online angling coach the best out there mate looking forward to your next one 👍
Brilliant Mikey well done 👏👏
Great fishing Mikey and a proper looking fishery, well done for framing.
absolutely brilliant. great skills
“That is the ugliest bird I’ve seen, and I’ve seen some ugly birds” 😂
That was a juvenile Moorhen - not as ugly as Mikey 🤣
I’m sure we have all had days with missed mugging fish. They go down for the bait or change angle when they hear the “plop”. The swirls happen and we still miss them ! Some days it just doesn’t go to plan !
Love Docklow pools, been 3 times & caught plenty of nice carp

Not been there for about 10 yrs.
I haven’t heard the name Rex Hunt for a while. I always preferred his mate Buschy, one hell of a ‘tash.
Catch them, kiss them...trow'em back... I remember the song
Your making some awesome videos mate, really useful as you are talking us through your thought process which certainly helps me think about my matches differently - some of best videos around, keep them coming!
Thank you very much Chris, Ive got plenty more content on the way. Mikey
Interesting match Mikey , well done for 2nd in match you worked hard for it 😊😊
It was really interesting fishing for sure! But great for learning a lot too. Cant wait to go back, Mikey
Great video again Mikey! Were you using a short kit on your margin line? Thanks! Rhys ☺️
I'm glad I'm not the only solo angler bordering on insanity talking to myself on the bank
🤣
I've got the fishing version of Tourette's syndrome - would beat Mikey on that score for sure!
Had great times there on fishing holidays at the start of the 90s, when it was a handful of pools and kids were allowed to stay! The breakfasts and half chicken and chips for tea were as good as the fishing 👌
We have never seen portion sizes like it! It's safe to say we all waddled out of the dining room! Fantastic fishery
Hi sorry for my late reply great gideo. Anyway watching definitely subribe

Brilliant video mate you deserve another 1lb or 2 maybe next time have your sections ready lol
WHEN ARE THE SIZE 8 QM1S OUT FOR THE PUBLIC
Great fishery been once and stayed now I’ve been breeding and can’t take kids Shame.unlucky Mikey, the lingo and one liners as good as the fishing 😂
The dreaded Ian Beale 😂 That made me laugh
Haha The Dreaded Ian Beale. No good if you want to fish quickly
only match i won and didn't get paid out lol - organizer said they would pay out and didn't, owners didnt sort it. LOL..
Well, Mikey, This video put a smile on my face for most of it and that's just the tonic I need with a wife that moans at me almost every day. Thank you and well done on a well-deserved second place.
try toad hall, if you do the right tactics you can bag up
We will look into it!
Do most match anglers need neck braces from what I've seen the rubber necking is hilarious, must av good chiropractors😂

Bit early for a crimbo jumper isn't it? Smart tho 😂
Wearing it whilst carving into the turkey
Makins is oldest
Funny, I thought Old Bury Hill Lake near Dorking is older
I think you will find some of our rivers are a few million years old.
Commercial fishery, it's just about the oldest in the country but Steve is right those rivers are pretty old too!!
@@TackleguruTV Hundreds of years ago landowners charged anglers to fish rivers, mainly for trout and salmon.
He should take his medicines and calm down....
What a frustrating video it was just a catalog of bad angling
We are sorry you felt this way Richard, Hopefully the next live match will be more to your liking
I bet you’re fun at parties!
Yet he came 2nd! 😂🤡
some poor angling going on amongst the tattoos !!
Yeah, 2nd is shit! 😂🤡
