We certainly need a barbel underwater series! Imagine what these will do with those 1.20m leaders! I guess there would also be many lessons learned. Absolutely my favourite underwater videos. You can take such a lot with you even if you`re not a bream fisherman.
I've always felt that the length of the hooklength in running water is more about positioning the hook bait where the feeder contents are spilling out downstream (ie. the faster the water is running, the longer the hooklength needs to be because the current is pulling the feeder contents further downstream). To my mind the hooklength is always going to be trailing reasonably straight with the current as long as it hasn't got hung up behind a rock or in some weed. I'd be interested to see this tested though
Eh Guru, you really have something going with those underwater series. I would be very happy with an expansion to this. Gets my blood boiling to see this tench so close to bait!
The Korda underwear videos, certainly changed the way I saw rig mechanics in carp fishing. This new series from Guru, looks like it will have the same effect on my coarse fishing. Well done all involved.
Great job Gentlemen. This video, as well as the previous ones, totally changes my perspective on what happens with bait and groundbait in the water. I hope you will produce the third season of underwater fishing but this time from float fishing. Greetings from Rzeszow to Mat and Frankie whom I had the opportunity to meet in person. You guys are doing a great job. 👍👍👍
I used to fish for bream all the time, loved it on light gear. Until I hooked my first carp... after that I just wanted to chase that high over and over. But 'pleasure' fishing taught me soo much that I use in my carp angling, I've found these guru & korda underwater vids a real learning experience 🙌
Thanks Ian, it's crazy how much they pickup the bait isn't it!

Everything just so interesting and informative ! It really makes you think and demonstrates how important every small detail is ... Congratulations to the filming and editing team too, they are doing a great job! 👍👏👏
Absolutely unbelievable from everyone involved. Bravo! Thank-you for the work and putting it our for free, you'd pay good money for this and quite happily too
Brilliant video it's surprising what a difference it makes when you can see what is really happening to your rig underwater absolutely fantastic well done lads can't wait to see next one so tight lines 🎣🎣🎣⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐👍
Fantastic entertainment lads just like the marx brothers... so funny.. feeling down today but feel much better after watching these boys.... Give em an oscar.. Learned loads too..
Absolutely Brilliant Video. I've never seen before that a Tench blocks off Bream from the Feeding Spot and Hookbait which are even bigger than itself and how it beelined then for the Worm Hookbait. Fascinating. And once again much to learn and to think about how to improove the own Natural Water Feederfishing. Fantastic Job done, guys. Can't wait for the next Episode. Greetings and Tight Lines from Germany
Love these videos both the Guru & Korda underwater as do both match & carp angling! For years I've been using short hooklengths & moving my feeder & sworn blind the movement/disturbance got me bites! I reckon this works in coloured water to as it creates scent & cloud especially with heavily flavoured ground bait pellets & hookbaits! This video confirms what I've suspected for years well done boys!
@joshbath5616 obviously you mug but like I said if you can't read imo or are you the opinion police that trys to look clever on the Internet of all places bet your a joy to be around pml
Unbelievably brilliant last years underwater changed my fishing used the hybrid feeder fishing at night for bream landed me multiple doubles and a 14lb2oz pb! This year's video is already inspired me to try something new cant wait to see the results on the next one! Can you also do a short video showing the whole rig with the fluro boom please. Great job lads really enjoyed watching this one!
Great video lads, loved seeing the underwater action showing how the bream and tench reacted to the feeder and hookbait. Will you be doing more of these videos 👍🎣🎣
This one is a game changer. I'm a carp angler and mostly use helicopter rigs. I did change my end rig after this video (my previous version was simmilar to yours from the beginning of this video) and the results are astonishing! 90% baits ends up with fish being hooked in :) Previously the percentage was significantly lower.
Amazing watch as was the last installment! I thought my suspicions on slighty moving the rig halfway through my cast was just a fluke, but can now clearly see what its doing for me! Would be very interested to have a pole fishing series after this!
Fingers crossed 🤞 tench fishing is the next in the series. Only improvement I’d like to see in the future in the series is at the end a key learnings page.
I live right next to Ferry and used to fish there every week but life got in the way unfortunately but this video has got me wanting to go again! Great video ❤
most of my matches back in the late 80s/90s was ferry meadows back in the days…back in those days we filled both the gunwade and overton with anglers cracking matches… great video this 👏👏👏👏
I always kinda knew that dragging the feeder could create some kind of attraction cause it kicks up the bait but never had consistent results and would never thought it could be able to make this big of a impact tho. Very interesting. Cant wait for the next episode, all tho little scared it will reveal some big flaws in rigs i've been using for years now lol
I really enjoyed the video and learned loads, so thanks very much for that. As I'm relatively new to this type of fishing, this might be a stupid question, but I'll ask it anyway 😀. Instead of having a shock leader and a fluorocarbon boom, could you use, say, 10lb fluorocarbon as the shock leader, thereby eliminating the knot and being able to lengthen or shorten the "boom" line length?
@@TackleguruTV I was wondering how the bream would react if carp where in the swim , via my own experience the bream move out the swim in you video there are no signs of carp in the swim all the best from Martin
Brilliant video I was told 50 years ago when I first started to fish with a feeder to twitch the feeder back after it had settled to straighten out the hooklength when we fished with 3ft hooklengths.
Great to see. the underwater footage, only today my old Apprentise master was telling me how him and his mate became pretty high up in the bream fishing matches, (he said the matches where often 100 peggers). basically was saying how the bites where often so small most people didn't see them in the gallery watching, he said he always used a marker board, which I do remember because I copied him when I just started match fishing at about. 16 with a small club, and how he developed his own style paternoster rig with very short hook length. That was. 30 plus years ago, it makes so much sense know what he was saying after seeing this excellent video. I am Going to ask him tomorrow if he put a few turns on his reel after feeder settled to position the hook length, I am sure he did.
I'm predominantly a carp angler I'm moving more towards pleasure style fishing and I love the guru content. Learning loads from these vids. From a carpers point wouldn't a short flouro rig on a Heli help also fish a lead clip running on a short rig work or does these tactics not comply with the rules. Keep up the good work!
Great video lads once again… but if you follow Bob Nudds videos /articles he’s emptied / twitched the feeder for years to create a cloud and straighten the hook length so any movement is registered on the tip…
Great film boy's as allways! Nice to know I've been doing it the rite way for the last 15 years or so bit gutted everyone will know my little tweaks I do to get they edge!! But great minds think alike!👌🎣🎣🎣 best way to bag on bream in natural Venus wish I had a way to fish the the opens on ther looks great bit weedy like but that's just part of the wild challenge isn't it boys 💪🎣
Very interesting, I enjoyed it a lot. It was great to see the fishes reaction when the feeder was moved. Only wished you moved it when the fish were around, because when you are fishing and decide to move the feeder you don’t know if fish are in the vicinity or not.
You guys would love the syndicate lake I fish, never been stocked with fish, except what we bring on ourselves after spawning, and I've had bream to 17lb without even fishing for them
i would have tried the GURU SUPER XS SPADE size 16 to 10 because i think because of the wide gape shape, the hook will get in the lip of the fish much easier when they spit it :D but i am not in your position. Love those videos, it really saves decades of experience fishing just by seeing the mistakes and making a better combo for fishing after all. Keep it up!
Loved this video. Really interesting & provides a lot of food for thought. Well done lads. Any idea when the one featuring hybrid feeder is being brought out please? Thanks
i need all the help can get. thank's ... i started from perch and roach from cobinshaw to trout then pike ,,,, then sea fishing . Gong back to coarse :) .
Exceptional footage and casting by matt i feel tank should come along for the next video and that 65cm hook length is a no go unless on a river in my opinion so at least its got chance to lay itself out fully and the feeder can waft bait down toward the hook bait so fish have to climb up the bait along the bottom like a ladder, first step being the hook bait hopefully
