I'm focused on exhaust gas flow and backpressure prevention. The turbo has an internal wastegate and all the exhaust dumps to the same pipe. I should address this in the future as the wastegate is pretty restricted at the moment. A different downpipe would solve it. More people need to use X pipes, H pipes, and glasspacks. I might switch to glasspacks in the future. Wraps: Don't have any. I thought about a livery, but I just like the clean two-tone look. Gloss Black hardtop, powder coated black vents, white car with a bit of a facelift. No angry eyes, no racing stripes, no numbers, or decals of any kind. Those are all on the inside of my trunk lid where they belong. "Sewer-slide". Lol. My response would be "you do that". I don't feel sorry for these people... At all. Wheels: My wheels are so low tier that they aren't even on the pyramid, lol. TR Motorsports 15x9s Donut Media told us everything we needed to know when it came to comparing the durability between $1500 wheels and $4k wheels. They had to throw the wheels off a roof just to put a dent in them. They had to run into a parking barrier at 30mph to barely leave a scrach on the cheap ones. LOL. They convinced me that I didn't need to spend more than $1500 on a set of wheels. Application is key here. You need to consider speed of impact and type of impact that is expected. Even expensive 2-peice wheels will be damaged when hitting a steel jack at 70mph. Granted, they'll handle potholes better, but so will fatter sidewalls. Value is a huge consideration here. If someone is putting $4k or $7k wheels on $10k cars, they should probably shift that money into something more productive like performance upgrades. Unless the build is a show peice and it's a trailer queen, or the car is doing track time seeing an excess of 150mph, there's no need. Therefore, seeing these clout chasers at meets deserves a hefty belly laugh at them. Because such a combination is laughable. If it were me, I would use a torture/endurance test to know if better wheels are even needed. My car can only muster around 120mph at redline in 6th. My wheels are just fine for this car. Don't let the stalkers get you down. Cheers.
Which miata do you have because an n/a miata with 312hp is death but 312hp in a n/d miata is less of a death wish due to safety and stability management systems, just asking.
@@richardbhagan8949 NB It handles really well. I haven't been able to snap oversteer the car yet. It also doesn't oversteer. It just tracks. Even at full boost with the rear tires breaking traction, the car is still really stable. It doesn't skid or lose control in the rear like an old mustang. Even when overtaking it's really easy to control. I am running 225s on the rear at a slight negative camber, which makes the rear really hugh the corners. 90deg corners at 40mph only causes the rear to kick out slightly until you let off the throttle. Then it easily corrects itself. The main difference between the NC and the NB/NA in terms of handling is the feel of the road. The NC obsorbs a lot of bumps, while in the NB/NA, you feel them all. Construction zones reveal this the most. Lane paint that has been scraped off leaves grooves behind. An NA/NB will be subjected to that line and the whole car will be jerked around. Whereas an NC will be less subjected to this. Honestly though, I love being able to feel every inperfection in the road. It makes you feel more connected to the car. You'll find yourself saying "ow" when hitting hard bumps. Not because it's painful, but because you feel for the car. Overall, this has been the best handling car I've ever driven. I do need to push it more... I need a trailer.
@@richardbhagan8949 lol, been on my to-do list. I need a strech of road and draggy. Just haven't gotten around to it. The local drag strip shut down several years ago. Only thing around here now is rally circuits, mud races, gocarts, offroading mud bogs, and motocross. For a real track, I have about a 2-3hr drive. 3hrs realistically. The 2hr away track is a motorspeedway. The closest track is members only. I really need a trailer. I might look for a used one. Can't use a tow dolly, need a car hauler. Aluminum would be ideal. I'm lone-wolfing it out here. The scene is mostly stock cars who ride the left lane. I got this car to embarsss them back into the right lane where they belong. Some stock, or e85 tuned guys try play leapfrog on the highway. Had a charger pace me through traffic once. Until he nearly missed his exit. "Always lead, never follow"
I feel so alone here in my hometown because the few car guys I used to hang out with have just turned to ricers and clout chasers. In the end I didn’t even feel like we had anything in common anymore. I wanted to restore my car and make it look original but with beneficial performance upgrades here and there, while they only cared about camber, led’s and big wheels with rubber and tires. The worst part about it, is that it’s the majority of young “carguys” who end up like this AND they’re also the ones painting our picture. When I tell people I spend most of my time on my car, they immediately think I’m one of those… I wish I was young before social media game and ruined every nice thing.. not only in the car community
What car are you restoring? I also have no interest in performance mods or camber either. As a still new guy to the car scene, keeping my cars running and driving reliably is all I can do and is also what I feel is most important.
@@nowiecoche I’m restoring an E46 Coupe. I’m a huge fan of RUclipsrs like M539 Restorations if you know him. Nice you got into cars mate. Keeping your own cars alive instead of bringing it to the mechanic over smallest things, is an achievement too!

1: Drags belong on the track. I'll admit I'm a bit guilty of this but not entirely. I bought a 3rd gen Camaro that the previous owner ruined trying to make it a drag car. That thing had drag rims and the tires were in horrible shape. Bought the car because cheap. Bought exact treaded tires for those rims because it was cheaper than new rims and tires. 2: The muffler is your friend. Same story with my Camaro. Dude removed the muffler under the trunk. Bought a new one with tips. Couldn't weld, didn't have the tools. 3: I feel like doing this just to protect the paint. But it's weight. I just do Red Bubble stickers. 4: Read #1.
I didn't know Itasha Wraps had an actual name. I really love how they look, but I couldn't imagine getting one, even more so now that I have heard your experience with having one.
I grew up loving big wheels, but my dad was always a fan of OEM mods Now as an adult with a 03 Honda Element, I actually got the 19’ OEM wheels from the 9th Gen Accord (The Star wheels) and I love them. I got big (no they’re not 20 in + but 19’s are still Big) wheels that look good AND are OEM. I feel like the culture has pushed companies (Honda at least) to make bigger cooler wheels and I love that cause I got them for like $400 total WITH tires on them I don’t have a lot of money to spend modding my car either so they make me so happy when I see them And in the winter (I live in MN) I keep my winter tires on the stock wheels so I have two sets which I always wanted as well
Wheel Elitists are actually the worst. I have a set of like $1200 flow form Aodhans which weigh less than most forged wheels. I can literally go through 5 sets of these before "investing" in some forged wheels would have made sense financially.
Don't tell them that Rauh Welt groups here in SEA use ROTAs when doing long drives. Or how they are used in motorsports, or how Keiichi Tsuchiya uses them for punishing drift tracks. LMAO
i think the issue, most of the time, with western itasha is their liveries do not have that balance between the decals and the waifu you're basis the livery on. now i'm not saying all are bad, as you mentioned, yup it feels like its made for clout because there is no effort put in achieving that balance
bro, I used to think this mattered, but it has nothing to do with the wrap itself. Some "good wraps" have can have AWFUL DRIVERS and AWFUL PEOPLE inside. Being an insufferable weeb isn't exclusive to P2W. Basically bro, separate the car from the people. The Car no matter how good, can still have bad people. I put up with them for years bro. I ain't even going to pretend there's any silver lining. Any Itasha car has a 50/50 chance of being owned by a clout diseased owner. Even the "Good looking ones"
Been apart of the Car&Community for sometime now, an I got to say you're spot on. I roll with the Itasha wrap and people hate on me, or act really weird around me. As of late, I just been too myself due to people being clout, pretty much not being genuine at all. I like GR86 because I am a fan of initial D, my first car was the AE86 - so I moved up to support the years of my first car.
RUclipsrs: “cars/mods that are actually acquirable and cool” * clout chasers ruin the market and style * RUclipsrs: “I can’t believe clout culture ruined this, how could this have happened”
Man, remember when car culture used to be alot more fun. Back in the good old days of early 2010s, when clout chasers weren't a issue, When cool and fun cars were cheap instead of having their value artificially inflated to ridiculous levels by clout chasers and car dealers. Better times
I recently got a cat back for my mustang and while we were taking the old one off I decided to see how it would sound straight out of the cats, no resonators. I revved it to like 4K rpm and it made a pretty sizable pop. I couldn’t imagine driving it like that everyday with just a straight pipe. Tone matters a lot more than just loudness.
I literally say the owners said, "There were no spooly bois hiding" I checked both positions (I literally have like 10 friends with Fairlady's I know this shit) And again, the owners themselves admitted it.
3:38 exhaust is actually less efficient when it's velocity is very high, pressure loss down a tube is proportional to the velocity squared, the goal of an exhaust is to have a large enough exhaust velocity to decrease turbulence, but also not have the exhaust velocity so large it causes unnecessary loss, while you are correct in this situation, it's probably more accurate to say exhaust size should be tuned to the engine and modifications you have, having too large or too small pipes are BOTH detrimental. Of course this golden size is dependent on which RPM you would like to see the highest volume trim efficiency, so people will often put things such as x pipes to increase low end exhaust scavenging with a detriment to high rpm scavenging, no matter what these clout chasers seem to think an exhaust will give you better performance at any RPM when in reality it could actually move that efficiency band to an RPM range that is above redline.
My favorite anesthetic mod is just debadging, or false badging. I have a 95' GSX, run a factory RS sticker, and painted the grey to match. It has the short wing, and smiley face front bumper, but 25 psi later... I also do this w/ my e46. It might be a 2.5, or it might be a charged 3.5. It rocks a 1776 badge in place. Both have quiet, high flow exhausts and silenced recirculating BOVs. There are visual tells though. The eclipse is in a constant cheetah stance because of the painted sideskirts and has its teeth knocked out, so you can see the front mount. whereas the e46 looks stock af, as long as you don't look at the tires or brakes too hard. I even run it close to stock ride height with stock wheels.
Blade have you discussed the issue of squatted trucks yet? I feel like it’s an issue that really needs to be discussed. I know you’ve seen them living north ga as you’ve mentioned. I actually live like 30 minutes north of you. You can’t hardly go anywhere without seeing them. It’s gone to far and this disease needs to stop spreading
I’ve asked an itasha owner about their character before where they replied “idk I haven’t watched the show”. If that isn’t the epitome of clout chasing then idk what is.
On the other hand, clout introduces some people to new spheres of interests, like them thicc drag tires, some people might stick with them because they might actually get interested in drag racing, others will leave drag tires as soon as trend shifts to other part.
That's like saying vans shouldn't be worn by non-skating people, because they are made for skating. But, they look nice, and skater trend in 2018ish year introduced a lot of new people to the sport, and now it's an Olympic sport, and vans are great daily shoes that look nice with different outfits. Same I think with drag racing tires.
@@brobdrobEh a better comparison would be if it just randomly became cool to be barefoot like instead of places where it’s convenient(like at a beach) just being barefoot ALL the time Just like being barefoot, theres a place and time for drag radials. They’re only convenient for cars that have high Power/weight ratios. Putting a drag radial on a stock sub 250whp car is destroying the drivability and high risk of a wreck in the rain so theres literally no benefit other than looking faster than you really are…
Fair point, but still, I think chasing looks isn't bad (kinda makes you a poser (vans analogy)), and safety is neglected on many other car aspects that are more dangerous than using drag tires to drive on a highway (I doubt that they drive their car fast on curvy roads or in other unsafe conditions)@@ALYXTANKBACKPACK
Do what you want dude, if the looks of your CRV after those mods makes you happy then it’s not clout chasing. Doing it for only the attention is clout chasing. Modding your car because you want it to look a certain way for funsies is just enjoying car enthusiasm and personalizing your ride.
I watched this video yesterday then two hours later saw a mostly cosmetically upgraded S1 95 mustang on full welds and slicks, it’s not necessarily snowing here but still that’s something I wouldn’t drive around on in the winter
Last time I watched you was when you put all the rice stuff back on your corvette and glad to see you haven’t changed st all lmao Edit: haven’t realized it’s been TWO years 😭
My way of judging itasha owners is how dirty their car is the dirtier in terms of dust the dirtier it is the higher the chance they might be chill up to a certain degree bumped my chances to 60 40
When i got new tires on my car, i really wanted to put Michelin Pilot Sport tires on there for the sake of handling thinking it would grip the road much better and I could launch harder, but in reality, I ain’t gonna launch that hard in a sedan with only 263hp, and it probably isn’t worth sacrificing the longevity. So I bought Michelin Defenders instead.

Wraps:
Don't have any.
At all.
Wheels:
My wheels are so low tier that they aren't even on the pyramid, lol. TR Motorsports 15x9s
Donut Media told us everything we needed to know when it came to comparing the durability between $1500 wheels and $4k wheels.
@christopherlowery855 Have you ever timed your car? e.g 0-60,0-100
"Always lead, never follow"
ouch. the parasocial bit got me thinking about some of the folks i used to have around me. yikes.
When I tell people I spend most of my time on my car, they immediately think I’m one of those…
I wish I was young before social media game and ruined every nice thing.. not only in the car community
Man I feel that honestly I'm working on a 74 Javelin I got from a junkyard and all the guys I've told at car meets about it either don't know what it is or say I should just LS swap it when it's completely original💀
Unrelated but thank you for all your videos explaining car mods. Very helpful!
Im glad they help! I try my best to keep it simple.
Don't let those idiot clout chasing jackasses ruin you Blade or the rest of the car culture. If anything, those idiots will give up or have an accident that will wisen them up, natural selection at it's finest.
When I get my first car, rather than modify it, I just plan on keeping it clean and serviced like it should properly be done so not only does it look great, the next owner I sell it to will know they aren't being screwed over.
I grew up loving big wheels, but my dad was always a fan of OEM mods
Now as an adult with a 03 Honda Element, I actually got the 19’ OEM wheels from the 9th Gen Accord (The Star wheels) and I love them. I got big (no they’re not 20 in + but 19’s are still Big) wheels that look good AND are OEM. I feel like the culture has pushed companies (Honda at least) to make bigger cooler wheels and I love that cause I got them for like $400 total WITH tires on them
I don’t have a lot of money to spend modding my car either so they make me so happy when I see them
And in the winter (I live in MN) I keep my winter tires on the stock wheels so I have two sets which I always wanted as well
they have 18’s just on your basic civics now. of course the last type R had 20’s but the new 19’s actually look nicer
They do: Honestly I LOVE the wheels Honda has been making@@DrRyan82994
@@BladedAngel makes sense, didn't realise the driver part
0:27 already started with the one that hurts the most huh
Daddy Angel blessed us with another video!
💀
Weirdo
1:01 caught me off guard with mini ladd
Been apart of the Car&Community for sometime now, an I got to say you're spot on. I roll with the Itasha wrap and people hate on me, or act really weird around me. As of late, I just been too myself due to people being clout, pretty much not being genuine at all. I like GR86 because I am a fan of initial D, my first car was the AE86 - so I moved up to support the years of my first car.
Best part about owning a 1988 Pontiac Firebird, no one knows or cares if my Crosslace GTA Wheels are real. (They aren't.)
That picture of the guy kissing his waifu is such a popular meme. It caught the literal translation of itasha and ran with it. I think its funny asf

RUclipsrs: “cars/mods that are actually acquirable and cool”
* clout chasers ruin the market and style *
RUclipsrs: “I can’t believe clout culture ruined this, how could this have happened”
There are ppl who dont have a brain at all 😅
Man, remember when car culture used to be alot more fun. Back in the good old days of early 2010s, when clout chasers weren't a issue, When cool and fun cars were cheap instead of having their value artificially inflated to ridiculous levels by clout chasers and car dealers. Better times
This is proof that posers will do anything to look cool, while simultaneously being cringe.
And disgusting
i remember being in high school watching bladed angled and now i’m knees deep in engine bays at 20 w a toolbox and snap on wrenches.
Bladed is the reason idgaf what people think about my car
Bro just saved an hour of my life watching 4 videos where you mentioned all of 'em(it's 1 a.m. in my time zone rn)
I'm now just imagining people drifting their cars everywhere like in Initial D, and I can't help but see that as a win.
I love the section of highway that you recorded your driving footage on (I live in the area and I take this highway down to the lake a lot)
I just don't let clout culture make something not fun for me, I do what I wanna do and not care what anyone else thinks, and I enjoy it
I recently got a cat back for my mustang and while we were taking the old one off I decided to see how it would sound straight out of the cats, no resonators. I revved it to like 4K rpm and it made a pretty sizable pop. I couldn’t imagine driving it like that everyday with just a straight pipe. Tone matters a lot more than just loudness.
Real car people: mod their cars because they want to
Clouts: mod their cars for attention
I will say Bladed Z have tight engine bays so most fast Z's either do a mid-mount kit or a rear mounted turbo
I literally say the owners said, "There were no spooly bois hiding" I checked both positions (I literally have like 10 friends with Fairlady's I know this shit)
And again, the owners themselves admitted it.
our class from m&t (a practical school subject about cars and transport) is going to a carshow in brussel in a week
Hey! That's me 4:09! I'm a primary source*, that's neat.

Just like NC. I can probably count about a dozen trucks in about 5 minutes if I were to leave my house right now
ahh yes my fav automotive youtuber uploads on my bday, thanks bladed!!
Theres one type of straightpipe I respect. Exhaust valve mods. Loud for track fun and to elude cops a little. ;)

I’ve asked an itasha owner about their character before where they replied “idk I haven’t watched the show”. If that isn’t the epitome of clout chasing then idk what is.
I see your strategy to fight the clout chasers. ik you know. good work...
4am rn where i live, blessed to see that bladed posted
On the other hand, clout introduces some people to new spheres of interests, like them thicc drag tires, some people might stick with them because they might actually get interested in drag racing, others will leave drag tires as soon as trend shifts to other part.
That's like saying vans shouldn't be worn by non-skating people, because they are made for skating. But, they look nice, and skater trend in 2018ish year introduced a lot of new people to the sport, and now it's an Olympic sport, and vans are great daily shoes that look nice with different outfits. Same I think with drag racing tires.
@@brobdrobEh a better comparison would be if it just randomly became cool to be barefoot like instead of places where it’s convenient(like at a beach) just being barefoot ALL the time
Just like being barefoot, theres a place and time for drag radials.

Even when I’m not looking at commentary channels about how predators I can’t escape them, always lurking under my bed
Am I a clout chaser for wanting to put aftermarket wheels and an orange wrap on an '04 CR-V?
Ehh… yes, now if you go with a off road look, without the wrap then that might work. Also this is coming from a fellow 2nd gen CR-V owner.
Do what you want dude, if the looks of your CRV after those mods makes you happy then it’s not clout chasing. Doing it for only the attention is clout chasing. Modding your car because you want it to look a certain way for funsies is just enjoying car enthusiasm and personalizing your ride.
I'm looking at a set of Enkei TS10s. They're under 1000 for a set and look super strong and lightweight.
