Woodturning - Pohutukawa Basket Weave Bowl

I try to make the most of a Pohutukawa bowl blank that's riddled with deep cracks. After some thought, I come up with a few ways to work around the flaws, have a play with pyrography and create a satisfying, end result.

It is told my ancestors threw their red head ornaments overboard when they caught sight of the Pohutakawa trees in blossom as their canoe neared landfall.
They would be equally in awe of the bowl you have crafted.
