Guys, guys, guys, we are all missing the point here. If Saitama is unbeatable and the mosquito reked him then there is only one logical explanation... HACKS! xD
No Saitama is, it's because of him the whole Hero association exists, he influenced all other hero's, he is the one true hero who has done it without recognition, without reward. He helped the kid with the ass face. But I like Mumen Rider though.
Good stuff! It really is impressive is how the show removes the question of whether the hero is strong enough to beat any given bad guy immediately, but finds places for tension to exist regardless. You mentioned the internal conflict in Saitama, but there's also the external issue of the superhero organization. If they knew that Saitama was the strongest person on earth, they would be able to mobilize him first and save way more lives. Instead, they've set up a system where someone like Saitama can be overlooked because he doesn't give as many long-winded speeches about his power. If you want to get ahead in this business, it's more important to be arrogant and self-aggrandizing than competent. The show often functions as a workplace sitcom, and I have to imagine that One's office job was an influence.
It is essentially a circus that we ourselves live in nowadays, where someone that saves lives daily , ie a heart surgeon having worked years learning their craft, it less rewarded that say the Kardasian..
The rewards society bestows on us are in line with the value society has for us. A heart surgeon can save a hundred lives but celebrities give literally millions of people's lives meaning.
And the thing is, he shouldn't have done as poorly on the intelligence test as he did. Sure, Saitama isn't the sharpest knife in the drawer, but the majority of the intelligence test was more about combat tactics and emergency response with questions like, "You're faced with this type of enemy in this situation. Describe how you'd deal with it." And his responses to any question like that was just, "I'd punch it." So it's also a social statement on the shortcomings of that kind of testing and how the results of tests are made to bear so much more weight than they actually should.
Not sure if anyone noticed but He is the reason for the agency's existence. The kid with the chin is the nephew of the billionaire that started it. Look at the episode where they mention the billionaire and in the file folder is a photo with him and he has the same chin as the kid.
@@stopmotion4days502 There's no evidence that he's multi solar at best either. He's never had to use his full power. And don't forget, Boros said he could not sense a limit to Saitama's power. For all we know there really is no limit to how strong Saitama is.
McBaron I guess, right now there isn’t any evidence saying otherwise so it’s not outlandish to assume so. I really want to see some more feats though, all we have is a speed measure (moon jump) and striking strength (asteroid punch)
It was so funny how when he revealed his secret workout routine, Genos got so upset saying that it wasnt even that intense a workout 😂 truly OPM is so entertaining in its ridiculousness
I always took it as Saitama was the only superhero that gained his powers by actually working for it. While all the other supers got them through luck or some external influence. To them, it was impossible to conceive the idea that someone could get this strong by working for it.
One turned a lack of skill in drawing into one of the most amazing anime's in history. Just because: 1. He believed in his dream. 2. He did not care what other people thought. 3. He worked his ass off. Every. Single. Day. 4. He put his work out on display in public, for everyone to see. 5. He persisted despite bad reviews and criticism. 6. He took the offer for help from Murata. 7. He worked with his new friend and mentor tirelessly. 8. They put out the manga for all to see. Even for free. 9. Initial readers loved it and told their friends. 10. They made more great industry connections. Including Studio Madhouse. 11. The animators got inspired, and also worked tirelessly for low pay. 12. The project was not put out until everything was done perfectly and ideally. 13. The initial audience loved it and told all their friends about this awesome anime. I guess that's not a "just". Haha.
I think there are two mistakes in your list of events: 1.- One self-published the webcomic by himself before meeting Murata. 2.- The webcomic was obviously public, but the manga was published by Shueisha from the start- it wasn't distributed or shown for free anywhere before that.
@max wang and next year in April we have season 2 but i really love the manga...i will buy the books as a memory of the fun i had reading and watching the anime and reading manga.
If only plot holes and inconsistency were the only problems with SAO. It's not like the anime is based on a game that is pure shit and unbalanced nonsense. Really? A pvp game that gives 1 player in the whole game the ability to use Dual Wield swords and another gets perfect defense? Even if the characters and story line didn't go to shit, it is still based on a terrible premise. There are literal series of you tube videos explaining all of the problems with SAO S1.
yea the story of SAO went to utter shit once they broke out the game. but pretty sure the evil GM (forgot name) did specifically say that the dual wield only unlocked for the players with the highest reaction speed . does that mean the highest reaction speed in the whole game or is there a very high reaction speed a player can get to which then unlocks it. hopefully its the second one but you could well be correct.
As for myself, SAO was shit not because it was unrealistic, but because ASUNA IS SUCH A TYPICAL CHARACTER OF HER KIND, and kirito is WAAAAAY TOO IDEALISTIC.
Dr. Manhattan in The Watchmen suffers from the same type of boredom as Saitama does. He begins to slowly lose his humanity as he realizes he is stronger and smarter than all of the humans to the point where he no longer can empathize with their struggle. "I can change almost anything, but I can't change human nature."
Though Dr Manhattan drifts away from humanity. By comparison, Saitama forms new relationships (Genos, Mumen Rider, and Bang, to give examples) that bring him closer to humanity and help him find things to care about other than having fun fights.
If anything, this story is Saitama's struggle to not lose his humanity and his goal to be a superhero. Basically, he's trying not to become Dr. Manhattan

What a wonderful video. I've never really been able to vocalize why I love One Punch Man so much but I think you've really hit the nail on the head on what I've always felt about it but was never able to say.
yeah, it's sad no mention of him at all in the video when the anime is basically shot per shot of his drawings. just look at the genos and saitama sparring session part.
Everyone misses the single thing that makes One Punch Man great. It's not just the subversion of expectation that it's so famous for. It's because Saitama's biggest struggle is to be appreciated. The public doesn't even know who he is and doesn't take him seriously. Nothing is a challenge for him EXCEPT for getting the recognition he deserves. THAT is what we, as an audience, empathizes with. THAT is why we still root for Saitama, even though he overcomes every physical obstacle with ease. We want to see him succeed, and not merely by punching everything he sees, but overcome the subtle nuances of SOCIAL life. At the end, we finally see him in a position where everyone else has failed, and now all eyes are supposedly on him to save the world. But the public probably still does not see this. It's ambiguous whether he gets any recognition at all after this fight, BUT... and this is the best part of the ending of One Punch Man-he at least got a challenge out of it all, and that's what matters. It's the little things we ought to appreciate; that's what this anime teaches us.
If saitama wants to be appreciated, all he has to do is show off his power. It really isn't that hard for a guy who can beat anyone in his universe with a single punch. He's so overpowered that it bores him too, and that's his struggle. But that also bores me too, so that's my struggle to keep continuing after the boros event.
@@piccoloatburgerking Well even in situations where he did show of his power this actualy resultet in nothing (Look at him saving people from the sea king after he beat the heroes that were there Also people base it a lot of rankings and saitama did show of his power (in fact he was to strong so they couldnt measure it) and he didnt get a high rank instead he got ranked c i think I mean the fact that he struggles with being op is true but well it is kinda normal that there are more struggles then just one
the big thing about saitama is that he is very human and god at the same time. Around him are people who want to be powerful while he is already powerful. He comes across people who think themselves as higher of themselves. Thats why i think this is such a great show.
Hey man thank you so much for motivating me by my favourite saitama story line thanks man I'm fighting with cancer and you video give me hope for fighting Sorry for bad English Love you opm
You see, there is a certain magic to One Pawnch Man. This show is a satire, a parody, and it's own thing all at the same time. It takes every dumb anime trope, Hollywood trope, and Superhero trope and twists it into some beautiful masterpiece.
It makes me cry too, but the reason is probably different. You see, I *would* get out of my chair and do what I love and believe in... If I had anything that could fit that description.
The Mumen Rider rain scene and the scene where Saitama fires back at a booing audience are some of the most impactful moments I've seen in any kind of media. You can truly feel the emotions of the characters and of One himself just burst through the screen
A show that is truly one of a kind. I totally agree. OPM relates to so many real life scenarios that it easily connects and resonate with me. And The Hero Association really behaves like any big organisation in the world. So many incompetent guys doing things only for the applauds and recognition, not really wanting to do the right thing. So many guys stealing other's hard work and effort for their own credit. But, just like Saitama, there are many unsung heroes who really strive for the bigger purpose of the organisation and overall direction. Those who are true to their goals and purpose never waver, and thus, just like Saitama, are the strongest.
Here's the thing I don't like about superhero movies. No one walks into Black Panther thinking that T'chala might lose. No one thinks maybe Zod might beat Superman and destroy earth. People know how superheroes work. It ends with the hero winning. So don't treat you're audience like an idiot, and pretend that there might be a chance the hero could lose. That's why I love One Punch Man. Right from the start we are told he is the definitive best. No arbitrary power levels or second winds or winning with the power of friendship. He just wins, and every time he does, its the most satisfying thing to watch. I've watched the Deep Sea King fight dozens of times. He's so smug and arrogant, and then Saitama just one shots him, made even better by the fact that he can't be bothered to remember his name. I don't believe shows always need to have conflict to be entertaining, and I don't believe all conflict has to be about the possibility of failure.
I think you're both very right and very wrong. You're right that One Punch Man is more honest by admitting Saitama always wins. But you're wromng that shows need conflict, because One Punch Man does have a serious conflict... hut it's not the villains. It's Saitama learning to live with himself, to not be bored with being invincible, and for other heroes to recognize they can rely on him to save the day. It's a social conflict, not a physical one.
Alright, maybe need is the wrong word. I personally do not like conflict, of any kind. I don’t find it entertaining. To me, the most satisfying thing in a story is when a problem is resolved without any challenge or difficulty whatsoever. One Punch Man is my favorite show because Saitamas existence renders every other characters problems completely irrelevant. It is the closest a show can get without conflict. However, I know that almost no one is like me. People are interested in conflict. People get satisfaction from surmounting challenge. It’s the human condition. I wish there were more people like me so that there were more shows like that. Because every time a show takes even a second to pretend like everything might not be 100% ok I get bored.
So... you prefer comedy and slice of life I assume? Those are the only genres I can think of that don't neccesarily require conflict (though some have dramatic conflict). If you liked OPM for not forcing conflict and stakes on you, then I'm afraid you might not like OPM Season 2. Yes, Saitama is still invincible and bored, but it focuses on the other heroes struggling against villains. Hopefully it won't be too boring for you to watch.
I am a webcomic reader. And its true, almost all of season two focuses on other characters, and I didn't enjoy it as much. But it was all worth it for the finale. Garou as a villain, is very emblematic of everything I don't like in a story. He is the traditional protagonist. He struggles and grows and almost gets defeated, only to gain determination and come back stronger. He goes through the heroes journey, and it all becomes entirely meaningless when he goes up against Saitama. All of his struggle and growth, every challenge he faced instantly becomes a joke when he realizes he never had a chance. And it is so gratifying. Easily my favorite fight scene of any story. Stuff like that is what I want more of.
Oh, you loved the webcomic? Ah, I see what you mean, you prefer inevitable stories (that admit they're inevitable, not fake conflict like most shonen). I enjoyed the inevitability for the exact opposite reasons, I was rooting for Garou because I knew he would lose, and just wanted him to fight for as long as possible. Except for horror and the few tragedies out there, the hero always beats the villain, just to please the audience. Though I thought about: even if somehow Garou had won, he still would have lost. One plot armored hero still won in the end.... himself. I'm just a sucker for the philosophical meaning in stories, hence my love for Garou, and Saitama's simplicity utterly destroying whatever complicated ideology his opponent builds up. I can't wait to see his psychological deconstruction of Metal Knight, God, and Blast.
Man..i got inspired by your video One punch man is truly the best anime for anyone to wacth Those who havent even wacthed anime before will surely find opm intersting It turned many of my freinds into anime addicts
The one thing I was hoping Dark Pixel Gaming would touch on in this video but didn't, was the way one punch man parodies bad storytelling in animes, using all the tropes that commonly appear. The trope of the most powerful character is always late, characters telling their whole life story as a way of introduction, and basically all of the characters that are anime cliches. Still, a really interesting comparison to the current american blockbuster trend.
Yup, it's basically a parody of all the most common shounen/anime tropes and stereotypes in general, and still somehow makes an awesome end product with it. The amazing animation by Madhouse in the anime adaptation sure didn't hurt its popularity either ;)
What clinches it for me is when the monsters get trumped up by their over-inflated introductions only to be brutally killed off in the most anti-climactic way possible a few pages later. (Or on the same page, if Saitama happens to be nearby) *Monster:* "AHHH! AFTER 10,000 YEARS I'M FREE! IT'S TIME TO CONQUER EAR-" **dies** *Saitama:* "did I step on something?"
what is really important about that for me is that saitama is just as fed up with that shit as we the viewers. Like when he freaks out when Genos is trying to tell him his whole life story or then with almost all the bosses he gets super bored when they tell their incredibly long backstories and THAT is super relatable to me. And that is what I find outstanding about OPM. I do think the female character designs could use some diversity but well this is still anime in the end..
heres a thing saitama has that goku and superman does not have HUMANITY goku and super are overpowered alien beings who have powers beyond our reach and saitama is just a human like us he's a relates us he is us he's our character
Rodrigo Fsc well Superman isn’t a normal guy, he lives in a ice base at the South Pole, can fly, and is a beloved hero to everyone. Saitama isn’t loved by the people he saves, he is literally only a hero for fun. He doesn’t care about recognition and he doesn’t kill humans. He’s a TRUE hero
My Nuggets Get your facts straight. Superman lives in metropolis and the fortress of Solitude is more like a headquarters for him and he doesn’t kill people just because he can.
Superman might have come from Krypton but he grew up in Kansas. He can be a pretty normal guy when he wants to be. His name isn't even superman, that's just a alias. His name is Clark Kent.
@@86Fallowcp It's basically the same story approached differently though. Saitama who was all alone ended up depending on his friends to enjoy life with, and Mob who had a family ended up having to learn to do the same as the most powerful psychic. Both are amazing though.

@Chase Jordan Wow. Maybe you know. . .you could like. . .state your opinion with reason instead of hating on people's opinions for what seems like no reason whatsoever?

What I love about the scene where people are yelling at Saitama, you could replace "hero" with "artist" and it almost feels like One was yelling at his critics at the time. People apparently hated his art at the time. Now look at him.
Well, it's not like his art got better. He was lucky in that a famous manga artist saw his webcomic and wanted to create a manga version. That artist happens to be arguably the best in the industry. His high standards of art translated to Madhouse having a high standard in their adaptation.
It was slightly popular on a Japanese website... I wouldn't call that famous by any means. Murata just happened to stumble across it and really like it. It was nowhere near the cultural zeitgeist. Even as a manga it wasn't. It wasn't until the anime that it really became a hit.
Define "popular". If I asked a random person on the street what one punch man was before the anime, I guarantee no one would know wtf I was talking about. If I asked them what it was before the MANGA, even less people would know what I was talking about. I don't think you understand how many people read serialized manga, even shounen jump series. It's only a few million even for shounen jump titles. For less popular manga in other magazines, the number is far less. Then you have to consider that this wasn't even published in a magazine, it was a web comic. I'm sure only a handful of people knew what it was. Murata got wind of it somehow and became a fan, but it was not anywhere close to the cultural zeitgeist that it is now.
When he said “I’m talking about ofc...Sword art online” I literally just cackled and almost cried. My humor is literally so weak I could laugh at anything at this point.
Interesting interpretation. I think most movies/characters take themselves waaay too seriously. The best thing about One Punch Man is self-deprecating humor. ^^
Im a little worried because the animation department is different from season 1. The new animation department is kyoto animations, who are not particualrly famous for action shows
I always find it weird when people say that overpowered protagonists equals bad storytelling. A story can be interesting even if it's not about the protagonist's growth and struggle. I think Fist of the North Star works very well and the protagonist is rarely challenged by his opponents.
How does an op character deal with situations where their superpower does not apply, or how do they affect the people around them, or what ideals do they have to maintain to live up to their own Public Image? There are so many story possibilities, and it's a shame that writers have use none on Superman lately.
yea . ppl can make op protag. like onepunch man and overlord. its the world around them that is shown more ,like character responses their effect on the world and daily struggles . the op part comes in third so as to not pull out a deus ex machina out of ones ass .(eg fairy tale=power of friendship )
the best example is dragon ball, goku was always op, but in the original manga his power could'nt solve every problem because sometimes he didnt know who was the enemy, or the enemy had weapons/traps/hostages, later dragonball seasons just show the villain at the start and the reason gooku cant kill them is because they are stronger, they turned the solution to an OP main character be an even more OP villain that can only be beaten when the main character get even more OP, unlike jojo villains for example, that are hard to defeat because they can prevent the main character to even reach them the dragonball problem is even worse because the villains can just blow up earth, and kill the 10 strongest people in the universe at the same time forever (because there would not be any dragon balls) and they dont do this
Franklin Joseph The he’s not generic lol he’s literally the OG superhero he seems generic because now there are so many characters like him but people forgot he’s the original one if anything every other character like him is generic not the other way around the idea of a character like superman was kinda original back when he was made also people also tend to forget that superman isn’t just some op alien god he’s more human Clark Kent is who he is he grew up as a normal guy
I've become completely obsessed with One-Punch Man, it felt so fresh and fun, can't wait for the second season next year 😁 And the music is absolutely amazing 😊
Yasuke Murata, who's the mangaka for eyeshield 21, is redrawing one punch man in his art style(IE story by ONE, drawings by Murata). The anime mostly shows Murata's drawings but sometimes shows ONEs style for comic effect. You need to read both mangas to get it.
The side characters are also pretty good. But as a Saitama guy myself, I 100% agree with the video. He's my favorite character of the show (even in the manga, I wish he had more spotlight there).
One punch man have nothing to do with heroism. One punch man show the irony of Japanese society. In Japan, you can get a lower ranking in the company because your written test are poor although you get full score in your ability test. In Japan companies, there are lots of office politics and people joined different fractions to survive the office politics. The higher ranking will bully the lower ranking because they are insecure and feel that the lower ranking will rise up and take away their jobs. Another thing one punch man tried to show is that even though you have ability and talents. Nobody will recognize your ability and talents if you are not good looking.
I think it connects profoundly also with boredom, a sickness of middle class nowadays. People are too bored, and that what he is also just that, a bored normal guy.
If you guys want to know more anime that revolves around the protagonist's struggle of being too overpowered, try Overlord. At least the conflict presented in that anime revolves around, "How do I become a true overlord, ruler of all the lands?"
Go watch/read Mob Psycho 100. One Punch Man tells a similar story in a package that's funnier, but MS100 is far more heartfelt and aims a little higher with an equal amount of drama and the best character writing of the two.
The only thing similar about Mob and OPM is that both characters are OP. The difference here is that Saitama doesn't have any need (or want) to develop character-wise and and definitely is at his peak of development power-wise, while Mob is trying to develop his character and his situation.
Eh while I haven’t read Mob Psycho 100, and have read OPM manga (not webcomic), I’ve seen both animes and don’t feel either is objectively better from an emotional or writing standpoint. They are very different in many ways and I think both have great characters. I actually so far like OPMs characters better but it’s admittedly not a fair comparison since I’ve consumed much more of its material.
@@Manganization this, mob is a story about a person trying to chase a dream despite life telling him how he should go another way and sharing his personal growth rather than the growth in his power. OPM however isn't that. There's no room for his strength to grow and his personality is basically static. He has no mentor, every chance for growth (learning martial arts, getting better at video games, or iunno getting a love interest) is either fruitless, he's uninterested, or it just doesn't happen. Kinda just repeated you I guess, but slightly expanded on what you said.

Mumen Rider is the real hero of OPM.
Glad someone else here has some love for Mumen Rider!
100% agree. He is the real "normal guy" out there working hard and believing in himself even when no one else does and never giving up.
No Saitama is, it's because of him the whole Hero association exists, he influenced all other hero's, he is the one true hero who has done it without recognition, without reward. He helped the kid with the ass face. But I like Mumen Rider though.
Even Mumen gets more recognition than Saitama.
@@Blue_Machine XD

I tend to defend SAO since the "plot holes" and "inconsistency" are foreshadowed through real world parallels and details that were overlooked.
Made me subscribe lol
Manhattan

@@aliasmcdoe true
You missed several points that make this great.

@@piccoloatburgerking Well even in situations where he did show of his power this actualy resultet in nothing (Look at him saving people from the sea king after he beat the heroes that were there Also people base it a lot of rankings and saitama did show of his power (in fact he was to strong so they couldnt measure it) and he didnt get a high rank instead he got ranked c i think
I mean the fact that he struggles with being op is true but well it is kinda normal that there are more struggles then just one
the big thing about saitama is that he is very human and god at the same time. Around him are people who want to be powerful while he is already powerful. He comes across people who think themselves as higher of themselves. Thats why i think this is such a great show.

Best comment dude
Nah its just a man with unlimited power dont think so deep xD. And I Love opm
I laughed out loud when you said ‘sword art online....’ bawahhaha

Mainly suck ups...yeah :)
Those tropes and "storytelling formula" is what ruins mainstream narratives that try to be taken seriously.
What clinches it for me is when the monsters get trumped up by their over-inflated introductions only to be brutally killed off in the most anti-climactic way possible a few pages later. (Or on the same page, if Saitama happens to be nearby)
*Monster:* "AHHH! AFTER 10,000 YEARS I'M FREE! IT'S TIME TO CONQUER EAR-"
**dies**
*Saitama:* "did I step on something?"
what is really important about that for me is that saitama is just as fed up with that shit as we the viewers.
Goku doesnt have humanity. But if you say that superman doesnt have humanity to a superman fan they'll laugh at your face.
superman from comics is human

@Badalight No, I think his original webcomic already is famous. Famous enough that Yusukee Murata himself ask ONE to adapt it.
It was slightly popular on a Japanese website... I wouldn't call that famous by any means. Murata just happened to stumble across it and really like it. It was nowhere near the cultural zeitgeist. Even as a manga it wasn't. It wasn't until the anime that it really became a hit.
ok
It's an existential masterpiece, that's why I love it.

There are so many story possibilities, and it's a shame that writers have use none on Superman lately.

the best example is dragon ball, goku was always op, but in the original manga his power could'nt solve every problem because sometimes he didnt know who was the enemy, or the enemy had weapons/traps/hostages, later dragonball seasons just show the villain at the start and the reason gooku cant kill them is because they are stronger, they turned the solution to an OP main character be an even more OP villain that can only be beaten when the main character get even more OP, unlike jojo villains for example, that are hard to defeat because they can prevent the main character to even reach them
the dragonball problem is even worse because the villains can just blow up earth, and kill the 10 strongest people in the universe at the same time forever (because there would not be any dragon balls) and they dont do this
The main struggle with him is getting the credit he deserves which is why the show is so interesting and hilarious
the ending is just perfect !
A SHOW THAT IS TRULY ONE OF A KIND !!
When superman became too powerful they invented kryptonite to sell the comics! This type of story telling is very unique!
He's too generic
Franklin Joseph The he’s not generic lol he’s literally the OG superhero he seems generic because now there are so many characters like him but people forgot he’s the original one if anything every other character like him is generic not the other way around the idea of a character like superman was kinda original back when he was made also people also tend to forget that superman isn’t just some op alien god he’s more human Clark Kent is who he is he grew up as a normal guy
@@Kmn2 he is an op alien god whether he acts like Clark kent or not, it is generic.
Corey White generic? Ok but superman is an original idea when he was made it wasn’t generic you honestly just don’t get his character that’s all
@@Highvalue365 do you even know what generic is?? Damn
As funny as opm is, it's had very emotional moments. The end of the fight against boros nearly brought me to tears.
Saitama was so good to Boros. He gave him the thing he himself seeks too and will never get.
I really needed to hear that bit at the end,as I'm sure a lot of other people did, thank you, from the bottom of my heart!
It's like beating the champion in Pokemon and than going back on route 1 and fighting wild pidgeys (mostly lvl 2-4) for the rest of your life.
The ending music got me oml, now i want a video with just that music playing
I've become completely obsessed with One-Punch Man, it felt so fresh and fun, can't wait for the second season next year 😁 And the music is absolutely amazing 😊
Directed by Jayden fucking Smith.
My sentiments exactly
I'm a total addict, when it comes to OPM
Read the manga. It's extremely good.
Thedennati The anime is amazing, you should read it
you cheered me up in the end
Well said, my friend. I've wanted to describe why I'm so emotionally connected to One Punch Man, and there it is.
*In some parallel universe :*
Saitama : About to die in the hands of a monster
* hears a cry in the background *
*_JUSTIIIICCEEE CRAASSHH !!!_*
And now we gotta wait for season two...awesome job Casen this was really good! =)
Well, only til April. No matter what happens animatiowise, the story will be far superior to even what Season 1 did.
Everyone in the comments please go check out their podcast
Mike and Cason are two brilliant and complimentary creators
Don't forget yusuke murata's drawing is legendary.
kaito tatsuya it is. Sometimes it looks better
Yaa also this is sarcasm right?
Yasuke Murata, who's the mangaka for eyeshield 21, is redrawing one punch man in his art style(IE story by ONE, drawings by Murata). The anime mostly shows Murata's drawings but sometimes shows ONEs style for comic effect. You need to read both mangas to get it.
Your last words man. Don't make me fucking cry. Dude. Have my sub but please. You got some tissues?
The side characters are also pretty good.
But as a Saitama guy myself, I 100% agree with the video. He's my favorite character of the show (even in the manga, I wish he had more spotlight there).
*EXEPT for the spoiled bullshit green fuck (tornado)
I thought this was about one punch man not a life lesson😞😭
That's my problem in a lot of videogames, especially pokemon. By the halfway point, I no longer struggle and stop caring
Play some games by Fromsoft, like Dark Souls or Bloodborne, you won't get bored there too quickly :D
Play some counter strike then
Had that with FF10. Couldn't be bothered to complete the game after I levelled up so much
“He’s really just an normal guy that packs the punch off a thousand thermonuclear warheads”
Me a normal guy: hmmmmmmm
One punch man have nothing to do with heroism. One punch man show the irony of Japanese society. In Japan, you can get a lower ranking in the company because your written test are poor although you get full score in your ability test. In Japan companies, there are lots of office politics and people joined different fractions to survive the office politics. The higher ranking will bully the lower ranking because they are insecure and feel that the lower ranking will rise up and take away their jobs. Another thing one punch man tried to show is that even though you have ability and talents. Nobody will recognize your ability and talents if you are not good looking.
True anime fan spotted.
True point
While that is true opm has a lot to do with heroism, you did not even explain your first statement: "one punch has nothing to do with heroism"
why can't it be about both?
Saitama have unlocked the true meaning of OP which is One Punch
I think it connects profoundly also with boredom, a sickness of middle class nowadays. People are too bored, and that what he is also just that, a bored normal guy.
I have to say, that fightscene with the subterraneans was so satisfying. I needed that during the show
it felt like a new One Punch Man episode thanks for that. :)
If you guys want to know more anime that revolves around the protagonist's struggle of being too overpowered, try Overlord. At least the conflict presented in that anime revolves around, "How do I become a true overlord, ruler of all the lands?"
oh man we get sweet heartfelt and emotional anime content now? I'm so down LET'S GO!
I appreciate you turning this essay into its own inspirational message. Excellent work!
No I don’t think mob psycho is comparable to One Punch Man
@@Manganization this, mob is a story about a person trying to chase a dream despite life telling him how he should go another way and sharing his personal growth rather than the growth in his power.
One is the creator for both mangas
Whats the name of this song right here 1:53 plz help me find it!!!!
ruclips.net/video/jREtlnMKsBo/видео.html ("Strongest Man") kicks in about 2m14s
It's the music that makes the show amazing.
Season one music is terrific. So much emotion to it.
1:51 when the video starts
That was a beautiful inside in to this amazing show! I almost cried.
