Thanks for reviewing the Ryobi Ranmi. I'd like to see where the balance point of the rod is with a reel on it as well. IMO, on UL/light power rods it's not as important as long as it's tip leaning. But I'd still like to know where the manufacturer decided to put the balance point on the rod.
@@TheConstantAngler The UL/L power rods are so light in hand the balance point is not as relevant. But it's more of a personal preference for the angler. Some may not even care at all where the balance point is. I thought it would be nice to include it in your rod reviews. They made the Ryobi Ranmi with a split grip with a short butt section which I personally like. Thanks again for taking the time to review the rod.
Great video adrian! I think those Meiho cases are actually attachable to each other. One of the cool features of the slim meihos. Normally the larger ones come with one side with foam for jigheads and the other for hard lures. I could be wrong but I think you may have the attachable ones! Cheers mate!
@@TheConstantAngler I could be wrong but I could’ve swore that that was what one of the cool features of this style of meiho box was. Interested to know! Cheers!
I’m presuming the light tip I.e the tip with the white paint on it is solid. It does look as though it has been spliced in and feels stiffer which normally suggests it is. Mind you it’s hard to tell with the paint on it.
I love those little metal jigs, we call them metal slugs, i gues now they are called micro jigs. I think they do the same job as plastics can there just fished a little faster because they cut threw the water quicker. The principal is the same, immatating a injured or fleeing baitfish with different retreive styles. I see you changed the rear treble with an inline single, a nice change with less chance to hook the bottom. I do find the surface on some of them is not very hard and can scratch up easily, i have given mine a hard clear coat to protect them better.
I didn't know they had 662 also. To me the 602 isn't anywhere near parabolic, I would say it's medium. Handle, grip and the nut is pretty nice. Not a fan of the gold but can't complain.
Just fished this rod yesterday. As you know I primarily target freshwater Bass. This rod turns a 12 incher into a 2 lber. So fun. but it has the sensitivity of a wet rag. I would say it is worth every penny. And you don't need that many. 🤣🤣🤣
@Izya__ jigheads up in the water but not necessarily for bottom contact jigs unless they were finesse jigs. I would say it’s better for up in the water techniques, dropshotting and very light Texas rigs. It doesn’t have the fastest of actions but would do a job. If I wanted a rod purely for jig fishing I would buy something rated to 15gr.
This rod is an open hook bait only rod no doubt. Preferably up in water column. It has virtually no sensitivity. Dropshot or other open hook techniques will suit it best. @@TheConstantAngler
What sort of a fish could this handle? I'm looking for a rodni can catch Pollock up to 2lb and flatties in the sea and then trout in freshwater. Should I get it??

Cheers. I'm just wondering how far you can cast with it, and it it's ok with Pollock in really heavy, weedy ground. Other than that looks great. Do you recon you could use it with a 15g jig at a push

I've been keeping my eyes on this rod for a while, might pull the trigger after watching this haha great video mate, thanks for the review!
Cheers buddy. It does appear great for the money. Time will tell. A couple good Balkan Wrasse on it will put it through its paces
Good review 👏🏼 keep them coming M8

Cant believe the price incl shipping. Pity I have too many rods (and reels) already. 🤣
Never too many 🤣😂🤣

Off to work but remind me and I will do a short of it. Should have put it in the video. It doesn’t feel too heavy though. It felt well balanced

But I can't really figure out, which tip is tubular and which is solid do you figured it out?

A hard clear coat would help. I try to switch out to singles as and when I have them. Shame the fish were so small.
Alot better that reel with the heavier weights m8 👌🎣
Yeh it’s quite decent with 3gr up. Shall get some different bearings at some point and see what it does

Yeh love it. I guess I’m comparing it to higher rated bait casters that always seem faster to me. I should really compare it to other BFS rods.
