EP3 Civic Type Info:
In 2001, Honda introduced the next generation of the Civic Type R as a unique 3-door hatchback to the UK market, which was manufactured in Swindon, England. This European Domestic Market Civic Type R featured a 200 PS (147 kW; 197 hp) 2.0-liter i-VTEC engine (K20A2) and the regular Type R treatment of seam welding, close-ratio 6-speed transmission and upgraded brakes, but did not include some of the other higher-end features, such as the helical LSD and red Recaro race-seats, that were standard on the EK9.
However, Honda marketed a JDM (Japanese domestic market) version of the EP3 (which was exclusively manufactured in Swindon, UK and was shipped to Japan), which retained the highly renowned helical LSD similar to that of the EK9 and red Recaro race-seats. Other differences of the JDM model included a more track-oriented chassis/undercarriage settings as compared to the European model as well as a more powerful engine having a power output of 215 PS (158 kW; 212 hp) (designated K20A) had a fully balanced crankshaft assembly with the different intake manifold, exhaust manifold, higher-lift camshafts, higher-compression pistons, chrome-moly flywheel and ECU programming. All of the Japan-spec K20A Type R powertrains were built in Japan and shipped to the Swindon plant to be installed in the Japan-spec Type-R EP3. The JDM EP3 was also available in the traditional Type R Championship White while the EDM was not. The EDM has more relaxed gear ratios and some high rpm torque traded for low rpm torque compared to the JDM.[6][7]
Facelift (2003-2005)
Interior
In 2003, the EP3 was updated with many improvements - revised EPS with quicker steering, revised suspension settings, projector headlamps (JDM came equipped with halogens only while the EDM came with an option for HIDs with self-leveling motors), lighter clutch and flywheel assembly, etc. Based on Honda literature, this facelifted (FL) model was targeted at addressing customers' and critics' feedback such as understeer on the limit (due to the front MacPherson strut setup), numb steering response and lack of low-end torque.[8]
Mugen Motorsports developed an upgraded version of the JDM Civic Type R, with a sport exhaust system and engine tuning, special Mugen Grille, and anti-roll bars for pro racing activities.[9]
30th Anniversary Edition
In 2003, Honda celebrated 30 years of the Civic badge by offering a special edition 30th Anniversary Civic Type R. This special edition features red bucket seats from Recaro, air conditioning, privacy glass on the rear windows, a leather MOMO steering wheel, red interior carpet and door cards. The 30th Anniversary models in the UK were available in Nighthawk Black, Satin Silver and Milano Red. Only 300 of these models were produced, 100 in each colour.[10]
Premier Edition
In 2005, towards the end of the EP3's production run, Honda introduced the Civic Type R Premier edition which had Recaro Trendline seats (similar to those found in the Anniversary Edition, only in red and black rather than all red), a darker shade of fabric on the rear seat centre sections, a MOMO steering wheel, red carpet, door linings, "Type R" embossed...

@@monkylondon might be worth just doing it part time as a hobby again and making videos you enjoy making for a period of time. Shame not as easy to live off youtube as it used to be but I think if you go chasing the algorithm unless you've got big tits, big money or big commitment to making content you don't actually enjoy it'll be hard going.
The expression "busy fools" comes to mind when you put in a bunch of work for not much return. IMO the Civic vids did so well because it was a "budget" build & relatable. I'm not about to say how to do your channel because I'm not a RUclipsr, but if it were me i'd say your USP's are: British (not as represented as the US, less so now with LLF etc but years ago there were hardly any British car youtubers), can drive, has a good car history/experience/stories, uses proper D&B in videos & has some good charismatic connections (Scouse etc). I'd crank out some highlight reels of your older drives with some proper D&B on shorts to satisfy the younger/short attention span crowd,(and funny highlights of your vids with Scouse, the exhaust falling off still kills me), start a low budget project up with a goal like going to X car meet, doing X track day etc (not sure whats low budget nowadays when even a 100k mile Civic demands a few grand though) & collabing with as many other RUclipsrs as possible. Even if you just reviewed other RUclipsrs cars that'd probably get others aware of John action.

Man I genuinely hope the channel doesn't come to an end.. I work on cars all day then get home and spend my evenings watching car channels on RUclips and you & Motor Addicts are always the first to be watched (some times rewatched) Don't tell Owen but this is definitely my favorite channel 🤫. I keep sending links to the lads and have got my brother glued to John action too. I know me alone is like throwing a pebble in the ocean but hopefully everything makes a change for the good soon and you get to keep doing what you clearly love doing.
And once I pull my finger out my arse and get a motor worth showing off I'll definitely be applying for a feature!!

I'm gonna go the other way than most...we know how much you've been grinding and ultimately want to be able to go drifting consistently and competitively. From what I've seen you're a hell of a driver and I feel like you owe it to yourself to give drifting a proper shot. Got the JZX81 missile inbound which will be like a new take on the old Soarer, only with more power and more trick bits. But something I can really use to practice in and not worry about too much if it gets a bit mashed 😂 Then got the S15 now with 2JZ which will be a competition car for when John's had enough seat time. Monkyyyy been following this channel religiously for 7 years back when you had the old 1.5JZ Cresta and we're doing Drift Life dairies. Honestly hope more of the troops here will jump onboard alongside me and others who are apart of the patreon gang, because this banging content really can't be afforded to be lost. ML lad there's no easy way to say this but its the way you upload your vids and treat your channel is part of why youtube doesn't recommend your channel it's because you do some regular uploads and dissappear for a few weeks or months and then start uploading again but dissappear again youtube wants you to upload consistently not all over place try setting yourself a goal lad like 1-2 vids a week and stick to it regular upload times we will always watch your content I've been hear since the early days lad you'll always have my support but like I said it's up to you lad and complaining about funds every other vid is making you look desperate tbh imo lad, you could show us the car sales side for more content lad we love your content and remember be consistent and regular youtube will start to recommend your channel more tbh lad, other than that lad keep up the great content and you will grow my friend

Electric cars simply won't work anytime soon, the infrastructure for the energy needed just isn't there. To say it's for the good of the environment is a piss take, the amount of refining it takes to make a battery and oil it takes to make a car out of plastic is huge....not to mention the amount of carbon miles with the distance all the parts travel to get to the assembly line and then ship the car itself blows most of the "savings" away, love the channel bro been watching it for years!
