Thank you so much for this! We are currently rehabilitating a budgie who was left on her own for three months in an empty house after the death of her owner, and this recording has made a huge difference to her quality of life. As soon as it started, she called back, hesitantly at first, but then more confidently. She's sitting more upright and eating like a horse. She's even put some weight back on! We now leave this recording on if we have to go out, and we have high hopes it will help her recover and be a happy bird again.
I played this for the pair of budgies I'm pet-sitting. They alternated between quietly listening intently and yelling back lol. Great, simple enrichment!
I just brought my young budgie home yesterday, so he's a little stressed by the move and the unfamiliar surroundings. This recording brought him out of a funk. As soon as I started it, he sat straight up, started looking around, and chirped a few times. It brought him right out of his funk, so thank you very much for posting it!
My budgie, Altaria, loves to chirp along. I adopted her from a facility that had HUNDREDS of other budgies flying around, so she really likes listening to this, it makes her feel more secure.

Thank you so much Jacob for making this link. I don't leave my little guy alone for very long but he loves it when I'm gone and he loves it when I'm here. He is chirpy and bright eyed to hear this.
Thanks, just got 2 budgies and they are very shy so I play this in the background and they chirp along with it and it makes them feel more comfortable.
Dont touch new ones because the scared might get a heart attack leave them and play this music for 2 weeks and get a treat and put it the cage for some minutes
Its not very good you see. They might think there are other budgies outside the cage and might search and hope to meet them forever. I dont recommend your method. I had the experience of what i described. Give them toys.
Thank you for this video. It is helping dear old Marty-bird cope with the loss of her life-long buddy, Denny, who passed away sometime in the night - may he rest in peace. I pray and envision his Spirit is back with my Mother - may she rest in peace.
OH MY GOD THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! I just adopted this adorable and very tame girl who’s just a few months old. We don’t want to clip her wings until the dogs get used to her, and she got away from me this morning. I knew what room she was in, and tore it apart looking for her! Was near-tears when I found someone online suggesting this video. Ten seconds in, and she’s singing away-on the light fixture six feet above my head!
I got a new budgie the other day who was used to living in an aviary and seemed rather subdued with just my older one for company. Put this on and she is chirping along and SO animated. My older bird is just preening away and looking for food as usual lol!! Thankyou 😃
Unny S same, actually. I grew up with birds but now I live in a college dorm and can't have any. I just listen to this because it sounds like my childhood
My one and only Samy, the budgie loves this video and so do I. A great way to keep him company when he is not outside listening and communicating with the other birds in nature. Thank You!
Can you imagine the feeling of flying? Imagine the wind, the sun, the freedom; imagine the whole world below you. As a child, I would dream about flying, and I envied the life of a bird soaring high in the sky. But many birds don’t get to live this life and instead lead lives of misery in cages as pets. Caged birds are either captured in the wild or bred in captivity. Both are horrible: One involves knowing what freedom was and the other never knowing a minute of it. Around the world, nearly every species of bird is kept in cages, from pigeons to parrots; people create prisons for every type of these beautiful animals. Many people buy birds not knowing of the cruelty that they will be inflicting on them and often underestimating the care that a bird needs. In the wild, birds would never leave their flock, but pet birds rarely ever have the opportunity even to see another bird for their entire lifetimes. Pet birds are often kept in cramped cages where they are unable even to stretch their wings and never know the joy of flying or the happiness of freedom. Birds in cages crave freedom and companionship and often exhibit aggressive, neurotic, and self-destructive behavior as they languish in cramped cages. Because of their seemingly bad behavior caused by their torturous conditions, people will often condemn them to living in dark corners, in basements, or on balconies, all the while locked inside of cages. Birds are known for their complex communication techniques, their beautiful feathers, and their unique intelligence, but when we cage birds, we take away their lives. Buying birds contributes to this horrible problem. Birds are meant to fly and be with their flock. If you are a bird lover, consider buying binoculars and going on bird-watching hikes or making a backyard oasis for your feathered friends. Never cage birds!
@@carolwade3094 so I should release all of my birds into the wild for them to be eaten or starved because they never learned how to properly take care of themselves
I bought two new budgies yesterday and they are still very quiet. I played this and immediately, they started singing and became quite animated. Great stuff and I am sure it will help them settle in, especially when I am out. Thank you.
I brought home my budgie (Ella) today, and when I turned on the noises, she got so excited! She had been pretty quiet since we got home, but now she's chirping away with her birdie friends! Thanks for the noises, she loves it! Has made the transition home much more relaxing for me and for her
I just got two budgies 2 days ago, they're usually silent but with this on they chat up a storm and actually start moving around their cage. Sometimes it seems like maybe they're scared and fly around frantically, but the fact that they've gone from frozen to active seems to be a good thing at the very least!
Thank you for this video I played this for my first budgie (Azul) so she could feel more comfortable And today Azul died, I played this for my other budgie Kiwi, it was so nice to hear him chirp again ❤
He's a baby and he's only been with me for 24 hours - completely silent. But when I play this he pricks up his ears! (if budgies have ears) and turns his head sideways and looks interested. Hope hit reminds him of the mates he left behind. Thanks for recording!
My budgie just lost his pal and was lonely ,but since i started playing this he's more like his old self and is alot happier jumping around and chirping just like he used to ,by playing this i can actually see how much more relaxed he is with life,

Same here. My 16-year-old cat lost his interest in baby budgie on day two. But I still dont like him alone in room. My baby budgie was only (relativly) calmer bird in the pet shop, but now he (not really sure, but bet my money on "he") is alone. It will take time until I bay a partner for him. For now he likes his mirror and these sounds.
My husband found a budgie singing to him on the back deck. It then flew over onto his back. I came out and it landed on my arm and i brought it into the house, gave it food and water. It was very hungry and thirsty. I had a cage but it was small , so we took the cage into the office and closed the door. I let Fred out to fly during the day. and that night had to get him back into his cage. I said bed time and he flew over to the cage and walked in. I feel so sad for his Momma Someone is missing him so much. I have advertised on the missing pets website and our block watch captain sent e email. We since bought a larger cage and it is adjusting nicely to our home. I never new I was a bird person. My husband and I love this little guy but I still hope its real parents find us because they must be so sad. When I open the doors of the cage in the morning I put on this channel and play this for Fred. He loves it so much. Thank you for helping a little bird get happy again.
Our budgie, Milo, sadly passed away at the start of lockdown, he was 10 years old. Yesterday, we were able to pick up a baby budgie and bring him home, he is 8/9 weeks old and was very nervous and didn't move from the corner of his floor cage. After some 'googling' we arrived at this video, and WOW what a difference it has made! He immediately started chirping and climbing around his cage, flapping his wings and beginning to 'explore' - like a totally different budgie! We have even spotted him eating after playing this video, we will be leaving it on in the background for the full 3 hours!! Thank!!! :D :D
Budgie A: Is that millet? Budgie B: It's just canary seed, go 'way. Budgie A: It comes in sprays now? Budgie C: OMG he totally stole your millet! -- 'Outback knifefight' ensues--

Thank!!! :D :D
have put my 2 budgies in a new cage.they were not happy with it.played budgie sounds.seems to have settled them down.

Never cage birds!
my Budgie loves this thank you so much... she makes blooping sound sings and she totally loves this
