Weighing in at 34.8 pounds, this beast of a machine houses a Noctua NH-D15 chromax.black CPU cooling fan within the new Fractal North XL case. I am extremely proud of how this came out and quite frankly, surprised. If you enjoy this video and want to support my channel, feel free to leave a thumbs up and/or comment your thoughts! It really helps :)

Congrats and welcome to the hobby! Great build.
Been building computers since 1997 and I always get a kick out of watching new folks build their PC's. I remember that stress, that "will it blow up or work" thought, the OMG it took way to long to build, and the blasted static strap! You did quite well and looks sharp, excellent choice in case too. Tips from an old pro, you don't need the static strap, never remove the CPU clamp while it's clamping the CPU down (great way to bend pins), and you can do full turns when installing the heat sink, you don't need to mark the screws either. Just turn them until snug (in star pattern) with maybe a very faint ugga dugga for good measure. Overall, you did good.
You can never beat the Ghost! Well done putting this monster together! You high-key gave me the motivation to build my own PC.
Thanks, that’s cool to hear! If I can do it, so can you!! 🤙🏾
Great recommendation by RUclips. Congrats on the New Ghost machine
Thank you so much! Glad you enjoyed it. Also dig Baba Voss being your profile pic 💪🏾
Wow your pops must be like an engineer or something 😂
He pretty smart and he approves of his Stan Lee cameo 🤣
Thank you youtube for recommending this channel. You're on your way man (to financially recovering 😂), you got yourself another subscriber. 🔥
Hahahah thank you friend 🙏🏾
Man, that was fantastic to watch. I built my first PC almost 20 Years ago and recently did my personal AM5 build with an NH-D15S (But with 2 Fans). A Monster.
What i wanted to say is, i do not know your channel but as you can imagine my feed is full of PC Content. You did a wonderful job in building this Editing PC. You clearly informed yourself to the last bit. The Joy and pride is absolutely earned. I was shaking a bit when you wanted to put on the Contact Frame after tightening the CPU in the socket, but everything went smooth! :D Loved the bits with your Dad.
I hope you will have fun with your new PC, it is a blast. Consider looking into undervolting that 14900. It is more than worth it. Especially with the ongoing dying of 13th and 14th intel CPUs due to bad standard BIOS settings from the Boards.
Really good System, nice choices and i congrat you on your choice to ditch that AIO trend and go Air. To me, it is the best solution when using big Coolers and Airflow Cases. Cool and silent. And reliable.
Great to see well informed and executed First time Builds like yours.
Greetings from Germany
Wow that’s so awesome! I’m glad you liked the video. And yes, by the time I realized it was unnecessary to tighten the cpu before the contact frame, it was too late lol. And I’ll definitely look more into undervolting. Thanks for the advice and thanks for watching! 🤙🏾
Oh, and the Star Trek Shirt was a Surprise. I grew up with TNG, DS9 and Voyager in den 90s :)
Have fun with this powerful PC!
I also recently built a new computer so all of the stress you had, I experienced as well. Great job on the awesome computer build and the video! Looking forward to more entertaining videos from you
finally someone who builds pc with locked i9
Yeh it’s interesting how it seems everyone gets the unlocked version. I’m just too paranoid to void the warranty, but I respect the overclockers bravery
@@NerdyRiver i mean, unlocked cpus are running as hot as sun's surface because of their tdp being able to rise to a whopping 400w without any restrictions
I built my first PC last year too and i remember feeling the same way. Just so happy lol. Good vibes man, liked and subbed.
So cool! I appreciate you 🤙🏾
tbh I still get nervous about booting up a pc for the first time after years of putting em together, but seeing (or hearing) the thing power on properly really feels like a dopamine rush like no other. and aye nothin wrong with taking 8 hrs to have something that works rather than having it not boot at all 💪
grats on the new pc, wish my first setup when I was a kid was that clean haha 👍
fantastic!!
Enjoyed your commentary.
being a fellow nerd, I was geeking out with you.
Heck yeah! Thank you 🤙🏾
Awesome job On this presentation! Congratulations 🎉🎊😃
Amazing build, it fits the theme perfectly! Have fun!
Haha, your dad reminded me how much PC's changed since I first started building them in those old beige cases with a 80mm fan at the back and little tiny CPU coolers. Solid build in a very nice case, I built my 13700k in the Torrent and I'm still happy with it but man the North looks good.
That’s so cool! I wish I had the attention span when I was younger to watch my Dad build his PC’s, but he was blown away by how much computers have changed. I was deciding between this or the torrent too so that’s funny. Thanks for watching! 🤙🏾
Man, my first build took like 8-10 hours and was the most stressful thing I've ever done in a long time hahaha, connecting the CPU to the MB was like building a house of cards so I felt your tension, good job and enjoy GoT
Thats a pretty sweet rig man, congrats! Welcome to the club 😉
Thanks dude, happy to be here 🤙🏾
So I gotta say that was lots'o'fun. I'm old enough to be your father ( ... OK, probably old enough to be your father's father 🤯 oooo, that hurts. But so does everything else ...😂 😂). Re-living a first build, ahhh ancient memories.
Nicely done, now enjoy the fruits!!
Hahaha thank you very much! I’m glad I was able to document this moment. Thanks for watching!!
You caught me off guard with that Japanese style Star Wars soundtrack
I recently built my first PC. After watching your video, I realized that feelings are universal! I also forgot to press the record button while booting up for the first time.
Anyway, congratz and great video! Keep it coming, subscribed.
The pain was real lol. Congrats on yours too and thanks for watching! 👊🏾
If this is your true first computer build you did a great job!
The North is a great case to build in!
Excellent parts choice.
Game on!
That really means a lot, because it’s definitely my first time. Thank you!
I love your dads commentary.
16:11 a camera angle OF a camera angle. FLEX!
17:50 that front grill. WHAT? I didn't expext that. SO NICE.
You see the vision!! I try 😂
You SHOULD be proud man. That is a HELL of a build and you really did it well. Took your time, learned, and really made it look professional. LOVE the aesthetic of it and I hope you are happy with the end result.
@@HonestDoubter Thank you!! I am beyond proud of it, and it was very satisfying to learn so much. I appreciate you taking the time to watch 🤙🏾
You did your big one. Nice build man
Congrats I remember this feeling it was amazing 🤟🏾🖖🏾🤝
Extremely satisfying! 🙌🏾
Awesome presentation my cousin.
Proud of you, cuz! And your best commentary, I think I know him.
Hahaaa I appreciate you cuz!! 🙏🏾
First and foremost, welcome to the PCMR my friend. Your build was great, great cable management and great parts. Very awesome build. Just for advise for future reference, waring the anti static bracelet is a great idea, but in all honesty as long as your ground yourself by touching metal you don't need one. But if you prefer to ware one please make sure you never put the motherboard on top of the anti static bag that it came in. Its actually a comin mistake to do this because people think the bag just dissipates all static but what it really does is takes the static from the inside of the bag and moves it to the outside. So when you placed the motherboard on top of the bag, you reintroduced all the static back to your motherboard. other than that it looked like you had a very successful build, and i hope this brings your content to a whole another level.
Interesting, thanks I’ll keep that in mind if I ever do another build. Appreciate the feedback and thanks for taking the time to watch 🤙🏾
Nice first PC build man. FYI Windows would never install on the wrong drive accidentally that would be totally user error so I could understand as a first timer you wanted to minimize those chances. I'm also going to check out that game looks dope!
Oh ok I wasn’t too sure lol. Ghost of Tsushima is incredible though! I HIGHLY recommend!!
tbh honest you did better than the vast majority of first time builders!! Dudde you even used a cpu contact frame...."pro" builders barely use them idk why....you did overspend on it....the Thermalright one is $11 and works the same as DerBauers..great work regardless bro. Subbed
Yooo Thanks! That means a lot, I appreciate you!! 💪🏾
@@NerdyRiver dude LOVE Star Wars games btw. Watched all your vids. Make them longer if you want bro im here for it
I cannot wait to use this 😂
You’re blocked and reported 😂
Nice job on your first build I've been building PC's for decades now. You did great
Just a note : Watch the overvolting in the motherboard with 14900 Asus is known for this.
You could of saved a little money with the 14700k even for editing. You are probably going to be using the Nvidia nvenc for encoding So the GPU is handling most of the load. Just a thought in the future or for others that see this comment. I've recently built a system and found that was a good, sweet spot. I also have another rig with a 14900k with a 4090 but that's for something else. Other than that, smart choices. Also I just found this video randomly so new sub :) One more thing static discharge is not really a worry unless you work in a dry static environment the products these days are really resilient these days but good to use it none the less.
EDIT about the fractal case. if you feel some turbulence noise in the front end do a custom fan curve on the front case fans that should help with that noise if you hear it at faster fan speeds. I have the case on one of my builds :).
Wow this is all really great advice. I appreciate you taking the time to give it and I’m glad you enjoyed the video. Thanks so much!! 🤙🏾
A great recommendation from RUclips, consider me a fan and happily here before you blow up.
Happy to hear. Appreciate you!! 🙏🏾
Very nice man, enjoy gaming!
Thank you! I will!!
@@NerdyRiver We need new gta!
Sweet build cuz!!
Preciate it cuzzo! 👊🏾
5:26 bruh lol....did all that just to change the CPU cover....top notch 😂
I be doin the most 🤦🏾♂️😂
@@NerdyRiver nice set up tho🤙
Congratulations on your build, went smooth!
You know the contact frame voids the CPU warranty, right? Also, I personally would install another exhaust fan at the top above the CPU cooler to get rid of the heat faster. This will also balance the air flow in the case a bit more. But over all I really like this build. Congrats on the new PC, it looks amazing! :)
Thanks for the advice! I kept the stock ILM and screws in case there’s an issue so hopefully it’ll be fine. But I’ll definitely keep that in mind on the extra exhaust fan. Temps were great on my initial stress tests and benchmarks, but I’ll keep an eye out
keep up the hard 👍👍😁😁
I'm new here and wanted to let you know the RUclips algorithms are working in your favor, lol. The RUclips recommendations led me to ya!
That’s so awesome! I was a little confused on the sudden influx of people
Thats awesome.
I'm waiting for the game test :D
w video bro keep growing
Thank you!! I’m trying 💪🏾
18:19 hey just wanted to point out that you might want to loosen the gpu holder because it looks like it is at an angle more up front and not even. Might cause issues with it like if it was sagging but in reverse. But it might of just been the angle of the camera when you recorded it.
Otherwise, nice first time build. A first build is always a more memorable one and teach you appreciation in a PC.
That’s a good catch, I’ll make sure it’s not too tight, thanks! And thanks for watching 🤙🏾
Great job a bit confused why you went with a i9 especially with the recent intel drama just keep that mobo UEFI updated until it’s figured out you don’t want to kill your CPU
LETS FUCKING GOOOOO
🤤🤤🤤
Whats the TDP of the 14900 ? I mean, gaming wise.. NH D15 more than enough especially if cpu is locked power wise.. but would rather slap a big AIO on it if you wanna use it for some other workloads besides gaming
Just realised we re talking about 14900 not kf.. that's 65w only
great video, but isn't it risky af to peel off the plastic from your case after you built it because of static shocks?
Thank you!! To my understanding, as long as it’s completely off and closed up it’s safe to remove. Good looking out :)
Nice pc bro but what is that led strip in the pc?
Thanks! It’s a neon RGB strip I added while I was editing this video to give more light. It’s the only thing I didn’t record the installation of b/c it was a last minute idea, but it’s just a magnet so super easy install
@@NerdyRiver looks nice, from which company that led strip is?
@volter456 Speclux
You "messed up" by having too many manufacturers, but ultimately it is your computer.
Max out the theme is the way.
I think only RAM has to be a combo.
Go full Asus, or full MSI, or full Gigabyte.
And even they have their variants.
You go frankensteiny build, you are gonna need to use handfull of driver utilities instead just the one.
GG.
woods sick, Get some cable mod cables.
I love the wood too! Wasn’t expecting it to look so clean. That’s a good idea though, I’m sure I’ll do some mods in the future 👌🏾
10/10 but rip the pov of the first boot 😭
Made me feel like such a grandpa when I realized it while editing smh 😅😂
Love the vids, but you shoulda went AMD for cpu and gpu. Much love either way❤
Hello. Nice Video, nice Build. I like your father looking after you. but next time, better don't close the CPU frame before unmounting it. ;)
Greetings from germany.
Thank you! Yes, I realized this was unnecessary while I was editing the video. Would’ve saved time and stress lol. Thanks for watching
I cringed when you took the stock holder off with it still engaged. I was sweating watching you do this. Don't ever do that again. Just take it off first, load the CPU in, put the contact frame on. Great job
I cringe when I rewatch it myself. I knew better too smh. Thank you though! 🙏🏾
The ti super has 16gb vram. Would have been better.
A1
Welcome to the PC master race friend, the potential is limitless.
An honor to be here 🙏🏾
Pop figures in PCs are silly as fuck. You spent 1000s on good hardware then you added a horribly mass produced UGLY figure whos only purpose in there is to collect dust nice build otherwise though
Lmaoo dam
