In spite of what everybody says about this Voltron. I like it I'm going to get it and I can't wait to get it and put it together. Out of ALL of the review. This Guy is not boring that's the one thing I appreciate.
Red lion needs to have the back facing forward when forming Voltron because OCD. In the original, whenever Voltron was formed, the green is sideways the way you have it, but the red one for some reason is twisted so that the back of the lion faces forward.
The cats individually are awesome. Just when it comes to combining, you hear issues. Imma new collector & a voltron nutt. I bought this before reviewing 😂🤣, oh well. No regrets. This dudes a beast. Like every other figure I own. Very rare you get a flawless piece " how much was he on release. I had $409 store credit @ bbtoys. He was $399. But I had to own him. thanks ps. A new ones coming out but I liked this one
I love the sculpt, lion body colors, and articulation. Love the use of white as homage to the original. However, I hate the color of the legs. It looks super cheap and janky.
Awesome! Thanks for reviewing this. Yes I have it, but I like the long in depth reviews. I knew about hips too that is why I waited till $300. Let me know what fix you use and how it works out. Mine is not too bad but I have not been moving around much. I gave this figure a lot of flack but it does look good and is big. Doesn't touch my SOC though, I just love that figure.
Agree on the SOC--that's perfection. But I love this thing, too, despite getting frustrated towards the end. But that's why I review things without a script. I want real time reactions to everything. A review needs ebbs and flows. I will definitely be recording a fixing video, but after doing a bit more research on what will work without hurting it. Good to hear yours isn't so bad. Mine was OK for the first couple of days, but the more I played around with the looser it got. We'll see how it goes! Thanks for watching!
waiting for a review of blitzway voltron defender of the universe, but i like the ulitmate voltron legendary defender right now. it's more screen accurate. nice review ultrazilla :-)
@@Ultrazilla I see what you mean. I've Never had a problem with him and he holds all the poses I've put him in. I do agree that they should've made them ratcheted. Either way, it's a great looking Voltron. Good review!
apolo apolon Yup. They no longer produce regular figures under this line. There may be some special ones occasionally for an exclusive, but that’s it. It’s been replaced by the SOC Full Action sub line.
Just a few months ago I saw this in a comic-action figure store. They had this one and the soul of chokogin (gx-71) this one the ultimate ex was about $350 is that a fair price?
PlanetCentral Hi the SOC is long since sold out at online retailers. If your shop has one for a decent price I highly recommend it. Probably toy of the year. That said, very different pieces.
Ultrazilla Toys but your own conclusion on the video leaves too much conflicting opinion of the final product. It looks nice but toynami execution just really fell quite short. Ball joint hips? It's central to the entire figure. The designers really didn't understand that they could skimp on the arms but make the legs solid as it bears so much weight.
I agree with you there. That's the massive issue with this. Ultimately, it just stands on my shelf and so far zero issues with him tipping over even with the sword extended. That's why, my final final opinion is positive.
Definitely not every reviewer. I saw 2 reviews loving it before I bought mine, then I reviewed it quite positively too. Its by far my favorite Voltron ever.

Have you seen the TITAN POWER VERSION Of Voltron?
Maybe get one of those Computer Mouse PADS To display him on! Or Something like a Rubber Mat will keep him from sliding around!

You have him on a slippery surface. Put him on a better surface and he'll stay in any pose you put him in. He's awesome!

So basically what I'm taking away from this now is toynami is pretty bad with voltron collectibles.
