I see you have Marvel's Avengers. Does it work on the Steam Deck? I could really use the help. No one has been able to tell me and the game is being delisted soon.
Could you make a tutorial on how to use it on a pc monitor, i have it but i'm encountering a bunch of issues making it just display anything or from where you would begin, from steam os or from in game mode ? thank you
I got a treat for you put any console at at 720p now use the mclassic pair with the photo 4k game pro and whalaaaaa amazing picture all the way to 4k on switch and steamdeck, ps3, xbox 360 priceless in my opinion.
With FSR I find the upscaling to be pretty good without sacrificing FPS. This device is pretty cool though!
I tried fsr. It doesnt make it look better in dock mode..it makes it sharper and more pixelated. Thank you for your comment Sam. Please smash that LIKE and SUBSCRIBE button 😁
@@RSGplays Thanks for the video!!! I think I’ll be picking up an mClassic!
Two things, though: 1.) in response to the original commenter, I’d like to highlight a common misconception about FSR. Using FSR definitely *does* negatively affect performance in a pretty significant manner. It seems to depend on the game, but it will always have *some* effect on performance. For example, when I just checked Cyberpunk 2077 while docked, I was getting 43fps with FSR off, and 36-37fps with FSR *on.* Really wish this wasn’t the case, but system-wide FSR unfortunately does negatively affect FPS.
2.) I guess this is kinda subjective, but FSR definitely *does* make certain games look better on certain monitors/TV’s (but seemingly does look poor on certain displays I’ve tried, for some reason). I.e., using FSR on my 4k monitor makes the 720p image a *lot* nicer, and much *less* pixelated in most cases (even when upscaling to 4k rather than 1080p, which is also an option). However, it does have some caveats. *If* you find that the image looks pixelated, try turning FSR sharpness to zero. FSR will still be enabled, but without adding *too much* sharpening. I find that even with FSR sharpness set at 1, you do get that pixelated look you’re describing in a number of certain games. So, give that a shot (if you haven’t already)!
I wish FSR 2.0 could be implemented system-wide due to it looking *significantly* better than FSR 1, but alas, that’s not possible :( Hopefully valve will fix the performance issues with FSR in the future.
@@stefdezy1562 fsr takes some cpu power to work. But since most games i personally play dont loose any fps because of it, im good with fsr tbh
@@karot9100 yeah exactly! It’s only really with the *super* intensive AAA games that tend to sit around the mid-30 FPS mark (when framerate isn’t locked), that seem to struggle with FSR.
If a game typically sits at 35fps with FSR off, you’re gonna get approx 30-32fps average with FSR turned *on,* hence the increased frame-drops below 30.
But like you say, as long as the game sits high enough above that 30 or 60fps cap, FSR is *great!*
@@stefdezy1562 Alot of games already have FSR 2.0 or 2.1, so sometimes it is better to turn it on in game settings instead of turning it on in the overlay.
I actually have an M-Classic and didn't think to try it on my deck. I used it mostly on my switch and thought it worked nicely but ended up shelving it since my kids took over my switch. I use the deck every so often on my 2k monitor but the image looks so jagged compared to my PS5 that I just go back to handheld mode. I'm hoping this will smooth it out and make it a bit more playable. Now to find the shelf I stored it on... lol
Hey bud, the mClassic made games look much better on my monitor. You should give it a try. Thanks for the comment. Please smash that LIKE and SUBSCRIBE button 😁
Just use FSR scaling filter setting, set it to 4 or 5. Adjust the resolution settings in your games properties also.
And if you’re not using the official Valve Steam Deck Dock, I don’t think this device is going to make a bigger difference than native FSR will
Honestly if the Steam Deck had a USB 4 port you could just have an eGPU dock where you can use a PC graphics card when hooked up to the TV to play games at 4k natively. A huge missed opportunity IMO.
I agree, I think in the future they will improve on a lot of these things and have a better product. Thanks for the comment. Please smash that LIKE and SUBSCRIBE button 😁
THANK YOU! I wanted someone to make a video with the Deck and the MClassic. I currently use a MCable in my office with the Deck and it looks pretty good. Might pick up a second MClassic for the office. The first one is currently in the living room.
No problem at all. I always like to try new things and talk about what I find. Please smash that LIKE and SUBSCRIBE button 😊
Some triple a titles look great at 720p docked with fsr, others can play really good at 900p as well with fsr
Every title I tried with far looked bad. It looks grainy and awful. The M classic isn't for everyone. It's just something I tested out and it worked great. Thank you for your comment please smash that LIKE and SUBSCRIBE button 😁
I agree 900p is my preferred docked resolution. Medium 900p pretty nuch across the board.
@@RSGplays yes. Fsr looks not good. I ordered this m classic. Never heard of it before I saw your video. Thanks for sharing. I hope with the m classic the picture looks not much worse than native 1080p
I have a couple of these, used them for a dual monitor setup. Even when not upscaling, the AA and sharpening effect still works. So you can put in 4k or 1080p120 and it still improves the image. It's not magic like some people expect but it did allow me to drop ingame AA to the minimum setting and barely notice a difference. They really should release a updated HDMI 2.0 version with more bandwidth and VRR.
Yeah I really enjoy the mClassic. It works well with a lot of my gaming systems. Thanks for the comment. Please smash that LIKE and SUBSCRIBE button 😁
I believe it adds a form of pass through AA and a sharpening filter.. not actually up scaling. Both of these features help lower resolutions look better.
Basically the same as if you go into desktop mode and enable fsr but keep the external output at 1080p
Game Sack did a review on M Classic in Modern Accessories 4 episode. Its okay and does benefit 1080p for games with 720p settings.
Yes, I watched their video as well. The M classic is meant for those games that play at low resolution. In the case of the steam deck it works great. Please smash that LIKE and SUBSCRIBE button 😁
Yup that mClassic came in clutch. If you play games like teardown it really clear up the picture.
I think so too. It really works good with low resolution games. Thanks so much for the comment. Please smash that LIKE and SUBSCRIBE button 😁
Dang thanks for the info. I will be looking into this and most people probably don't know about this.
Thanks bud, yeah I haven't seen any videos on this but get it works great
The problem with the mClassic it's that it will crush shadows and lights, I own one and I don't like those "vibrant" fake tones.
while mclassic is a great addition, I hope valve is working hard to get something going for the community for dock mode
Very interesting. I will look into this. Great video.
Awesome, thanks so much for the leaving a comment. Please smash that LIKE and SUBSCRIBE button 😁
Wonder if this would work on my 4k Monitor, I got the monitor yesterday for my Birthday from my wife, not linked up my Steam Deck to it just yet, my guess would be 1080p id have to downscale it too.
Great Video RSG, once again, Looks like your channel is taking off now, keep it going dude!
I tested it on a 4k monitor. So I would say yes bud. And it works great. Please smash that LIKE and SUBSCRIBE button 😁
@@RSGplays Awesome, ill give it a go soon, smashed both dude!
Makes a negligible difference. Native FSR settings will do far more
My deck arrives today!!!!
Awesome, you will live it bro
@@RSGplays I can't wait! I might end up ordering an M Classic too, because the results look good
Mine comes tmm 🫣
Snake oil.
???
@@RSGplays to call that a 'MAJOR Graphics BOOST' is akin to Snake oil. 'Snake oil is a term used to describe deceptive marketing, health care fraud, or a scam. Similarly, "snake oil salesman" is a common expression used to describe someone who sells, promotes, or is a general proponent of some valueless or fraudulent cure, remedy, or solution.' To call it Major is simply not true. click bait.
That intro is 🔥
I always use that intro lol
... so this is like a poorman's eGPU mod... If the Deck Supported eGPU's it would be the perfect machine.
Well I'm new to PC gaming so I'm not sure what a eGPU is, but the mClassic really came in clutch. Thanks for your comment. Please be sure to smash that LIKE and SUBSCRIBE button 😁
I just use the built in FSR in the steam deck and let it upscail from 720p to 4k and it looks fine. The function of this adapter is built in to the steam deck with FSR and can be forced on all games.
I don’t testet the Adapter. But fsr upscaling look much worse than native 1080p
Definitely check if a game has fsr built in as built in fsr is almost always better
i just ordered one !
Awesome, I hope you enjoyed it as much as I have been. Please I Hope you smashed that LIKE and SUBSCRIBE button
I'll have to try this on my Deck setup docked to my TV. I have a few of those mClassics when they were pre-order way back then.
As long as I can play Arkham Knight I'm fine. If I can play mclassic on it I'm happy. I love your shirt btw! Glad to see a fellow Dragon Ball fan! 😄
They should sell gpu dock put amd mobile gpu. So when we play in dock mod it will use external gpu. However the steam deck only support usb 3 not 4
They may sell an upgraded dock some time in the future I hope. Please smash that LIKE and SUBSCRIBE button 😁
That would be so great…
So the major upgrade is buy a dongle :D
The only reason I won't buy it is because it doesn't use USB-C for the power cable. Micro USB has always seemed loose and really easy to bend/break.
It works so good tho. I would.say give it a shot. Please smash that LIKE button 😁
For steam deck, this adapter is absolutely useless, since its functionality is already available on deck itself if you use reshade.
this is an excellent pair with the Jsaux Dock
Nice. Will try 👍

Title must be : this accessory improves steam decks graphics lmao
I like the title I chose, thanks for the example tho. Please smash that LIKE and SUBSCRIBE button 😁
Thanks for the video! Can you please tell me which games you are playing at 0:21 and 1:08? Thanks again!
The first game is Valkyrie elysium and the 2nd game is tales of arise. Please smash that LIKE and SUBSCRIBE button 😁
I've got a ROG ALLY and I'm considering this for Starfield
The MClassic didn’t work for my steam deck it won’t even display.
I’m super tempted to grab one but I had one before and I have no idea what went wrong but it started shocking me after a while when it was plugged into my Switch dock.
It started lightly enough that I thought it was just static shock even though it was kinda common when I grabbed my Switch but ended up getting to the point where pushing my finger on the Switches screen was an endurance trial and unplugging the MClassic fixed that issue immediately.
I think it was a one-off problem but buying a 100$ device a second time hurts almost as much as those shocks did 🤕
Oh wow! That sounds dangers. Did you contact the company? You could have maybe got it replaced. Thanks for the comment. Let me know what you decide to do. Please smash that LIKE and SUBSCRIBE button 😁
@@RSGplays nah, it was 1-2 years after I bought so I figured it was out of warranty and just threw that fire hazard into the trash
i bought one for my steam deck on dock mode but dont see nothing on my TV
Do you plug the usb port into the docks usb port or do you have to just plug it into an adapter to power the mclassic?
What is the second game showing at the beginning after god of war?
I bought looslie scaling on steam for 4 bucks works as u described and more
Oh really? That's so cool. Please smash that LIKE and SUBSCRIBE button 😁
Get a steam dock that has a dp port and grab a dp1.4 to hdmi 2.1 cable
Too bad mClassic does not support 900p input resolution.
No? Why not?
lol! Mclassic is the biggest con out there!!
Nah, I love mine. But to each their own my friend. Please hit that subscribe button 🙏🙏🙏
Is there black magic being used in that m-classic thingy?
*sighs*
It just increases the contrast.
What's the last game he was playing
It's called Tales of Arise and it's amazing. Please smash that LIKE and SUBSCRIBE button 😁
Doe it have impact on input latency?
Absolutely not! From all the testing I have done. This has been the best way to improve visuals in dock mode with out losing performance.

Any advice to bypass hdcp on obs with a capture card
@@JoeHoeDoesSomething sigh....
can you play 1440p 4K locked in on steam deck with Spider man remastered?
Hi, thanks for the comment. I have not tried that but I doubt it. No games in the steam deck can play at the settings locked and running smooth enough to play. Please smash that LIKE and SUBSCRIBE button 😁
It's a handheld, nothing that's handheld can do that at this moment
Rob more video like this 🥰
Glad you enjoyed. Ease I hope you smashed that LIKE and SUBSCRIBE button 😁
@@RSGplays i already subed 🤗
Wouldn't it be better to use Steam OS built-in FSR? Cool adapter though.
The fsr look much worse than native 1080p. I ordered the adapter and hope it looks better than 720p with fsr
I purchased the Mclassic after watching this video and there is No difference at all!! $100 wasted..
Note I have cryo utilities installed on my steam deck with it it there is no need for Mclassic...
Well Im sorry you didn't find use out of the Mclassic. I for one seen a nice difference in the graphics and that helped me. sorry it didn't for you. I hope you have a great day bud. Please smash that LIKE and SUB button!
What game is that in the beginning, the second game?
Valkire Elysum
FSR?
If you want high fps and 1080 plus that’s what Xbox and PlayStation is for I bought my deck for hand held and loving it
Hey bud, please don't be rude. There are some people that want to use there steam deck in dock mode and want to have better resolution. Please try and be respectful. Thank you boss
theres a reason why the deck has the 800p screen. wtf did u expect
Why are you being so negative?
You get full speed undocked so don't expect more when docked.
What do you mean? I'm not expecting it when docked. That why I explained how to fix it
My TV already has built-in upscaling so I won't need this but it's cool for people who don't have a good TV.
It's just H/W upscaling it's not graphics card upgade even slightly. You could just use the upscaling in the monitor/TV. This video is misrepresenting what it's doing.
OR also FSR does the same bastard thing. This is a $100 spent for no reason. Have the game running at 720p res in the game settings and use the Gamescope FSR option to scale it up to 1080p.
I'm sorry but your information is mistaking. 1. I never said it was a graphics card. I said it acts like an graphics card upgrade.
2. 720p and using far on steam deck in dock mode doesn't do the same thing the mClassic does. I tried it and it only looks more pixelated.
3. Upscaling in your TV and monitor also doesn't do the same thing the mClassic does. So that is also flaws.
Sorry but your info is just wrong seeing how I have personally tested all these methods and you have not. I am just putting the info out there, I'm not saying for you to rush out and spend $100 on this upgrade. Thank you for leaving a comment. I wish you a great day.
@@RSGplays How is this a graphics card upgrade. No one's definition of graphics card upgrade is external upscaling. At best this is misleading at worst it's lying to folks.
TVs have upscalers in them. At least any non trash tastic POS. You can certainly have crap upscalers in a particular TV model. There are two different ways to do this upscaling without spending ANY money.
@@eagle_rb_mmoomin_418 how to do the upscaling?
Describing the MClassic as a graphics card upgrade and a "MAJOR" boost is like saying raising the sharpness, contrast and saturation on my tv is a MAJOR graphics upgrade for any game I play on it. Do not waste $100 on the MClassic, it's snake oil that you can accomplish with your tv settings.
All I can say learn your deck
Why didn't you link to the MClassic store for some profit???
