You guys should check out the documentary about the dude who created the this, it's called "Theremin: An Electronic Odyssey". His life is incredible and it's on Amazon.
Such a cool instrument, have seen stuff about it for years, with all the pedals in the market it just make sense that it will make a come back. Hope more people will start taking it more seriously
I just see a person making single-handed signs from Naruto and using the sound jutsu, but seriously, she is way too talented to have that control and stillness.
wow, playing the theremin accurately is very difficult, you make it seem easy, well done, the last few notes were almost the soundtrack from the movie "forbidden planet" LOL
@@danielmiyahara9089 on VHS? you mean DVD,i even put my DVDs on hard drives in mp4 format nowadays, because of the issue i had with no more machines to play my video cassettes, first to go was bètamax, then VHS,and i guess that DVDs are not far away of disapeering also,i lost all my movies on videocassette,no more, now its all digital, and on seperate 4Tb drives (backup)
when i play my Theremini by Moog, basically no matter what i do, its just space music, i cannot replicate melody of any kind, its the hardest thing to play :(
As far as I understand it, it's in whatever key you'd like it to be. She has an octave in her hand, so she can just move to a different starting position to have a different key.
It was used for sound effects in and scoring of old scifi movies. I think the first time it was used in popular music was The Beach Boys' album Pet Sounds, most notably the song Good Vibrations.
Wow your amazing! Its actually a really beautiful instrument! Yummy :-) I don't know if I could ever get any good at it, but I really hope I get to try one someday ;)
The principle is exactly the same as that of a pickup on a guitar, each antenna puts out a small field and as you move your hands in the field you disrupt the field, just like how a string on a guitar vibrating over a pickup disrupts the pickup’s magnetic field. Instead of using electromagnetism, it uses radio waves at a frequency of about 500 KHz. For reference AM radio waves are between 300 KHz and 3 MHz, so if listening to the weather on a transistor radio isn’t harmful, neither is the theremin.
Stays in tune better than air guitar

I’m watching this 4 years later and feeling even more mind-blown then before 🤯
First time I saw one of these was at a concert and the frontman from some opening band used one. Blew my mind at the time lol
That is such an interesting instrument ! You play it so well; I like the set-up you have there !
Always have to respect someone taking something to the next level. Lots of possibilities.
Now she just needs an echoplex ep-3 and a 200 watt orange amp
Junior Mafia and decades of guitar skill and mastery
Plexi Super Lead
Wow that's incredibly simple to my mind. Fantastic tutorial!
What a wonderful instrument!! I have a unit for sale. Never been touched.
Too bad they stop producing that theremin, I would have bought one. This is an awesome one.
GET IN TOUCH WITH THE moogseum IN ashville NC. AS A SUGGESTION

This is sooo interesting!
It's always nice to see unusual and weird instruments like this one - Please keep these videos coming! :D
She is the total master of the Theremin
This is the kind of thing aliens would play in a sci fi film. I want one..... dunno how or what I’d use it for, I just want it.
Extremely Impressed

Viva Chile! 😁🇨🇱🇨🇱🇨🇱
I like it, nice instrument!
This is insanely cool!
This blows my mind
It must take a lot of practice to master that instrument and play so well.
The rainbow machine; once you see it you can't unsee it
pls more video with theremin and earthquacker and other pedals!)
You can do some sick one-handed jutsu with this bad boy

Carolina is ace! 💙
Wow!! Super talented
Carolina, the Theremin goddess.
Lowkey talking smack in sign language
Beautiful
Cool instrument!
@0:41 Didn't expected this! :o Please try Theremin on Wet/Dry!
beautiful
How cool is that
Amazing.
Yeah Carolina Eyck!
Name of song at 4:17? Crazy, that’s literally the song I played when I first got to try the theremin
Why the bloody heck, every single time I'm listening to a thermin playing single notes, a 1950's ghost comes to mind
cause you remember hearing theremin background music often used in TV specials like horror or sci-fi back then
Reminds me of Earthbound .
I think this will look like the future at any time
Wtf no way. Helluh mind blown right now
You have incredible dexterity gosh dang
Where to buy this ??
1:14 sounded like a sound effect from Super Mario World
How did you play multiple notes?
That is actually fucking sick .
I want one.
What model is this theremin?
In what key is the Theremin?

What is that song she plays at the very beginning?
"Somewhere Over the Rainbow" - thanks so much for watching!
Midsummer mysteries uses it in their theme music
Thanks to Jimmy Page

Zeppelin used this in whole lotta love ...
This kinda reminds me of Jonny Greenwood and his Ondes.
SamOwenI They operate pretty similarly except the Ondes has the ring and the keyboard

MARS ATTACK
Its quite.... Eerie
I play mine like jimmy page lol
Almost as good as Dr. Madd Vibe... almost.
What i always wondered about this Instrument is, if the radiation is harmful? Because it works with radiatons if im not mistaken.

good luck playing a 16th note 2 octave arpeggio. All you can play in tune is very slow notes.
More of a electromagnetic instrument than air :s
Jimmy Page did it best.
It’s a conspiracy man
What sort of witchcraft is this ???
Interesting instrument but that kind of dedication is a complete waste of time.
