RIP to Rudy. Never met him in person but judging by the effect his death had on the Porsche community, he was a great guy. What an amazing collection he had.
What a beautiful collection, the 993 gen is still de prettiest so far... Not too big, smooth headlights ! I wonder how much does it cost to maintain such a collection on an annual basis !
Nice treatment of a fantastic collection, Jakob! Love all the touches Rudy adds to his 993s. The hardback seats are amazing, as are the Turbo-S ducts - they really spice up the front! Really enjoyable tour. Thanks!
Hi Jakob, your videos are super duper cool. I'm having my 993 fully restored, been without it since July and it won't be ready till March/April 2018, so your videos are helping to sustain my 993 fix whilst my toy is away! Thanks from a 993 fan in the UK and keep up the great work!
Thanks Jakob, I really enjoy watching your videos, and I just looove Rudy's collection of 993s. But I think the best thing about this channel, is that you answer everyone's comments, even if they're dumb. Keep them coming. BTW, I saw the weather forecast for Toronto was -6C with snow. We're expecting low 30C over the weekend. So get yourself downunder and warm up a bit. Lol. I hope you have a very 911 Christmas and New Year. Cheers my friend. Peter
Hi Peter, thanks so much! I like to respond to the comments, luckily only a small number a dumb haha.. Yeah, we got some snow today, not bad though only 5" or so. :) Just a heads up, I'm taking a bit of a vacation starting now until end of January, and then will post every other Thursday during the off season! Have a great holiday!
I was talking with Rob Dickinson a few years ago at a Singer launch and he was saying that even though 993s have a special place in his heart (He has a silver C2 as far as I recall), they could never figure out a direction with this generation. That was pre Singer DLS. Thanks for tuning in!
No, gracias a ti amigo por publicar tan hermoso video. Impresionantes todos los 911. Los mejores del mundo. Saludos combativos desde el norte de Morelos México.
Jakob I love your videos.. the Texas videos were very entertaining . Love rudys collection. I do not follow too many people but I subscribed to yours. I live in miami florida. 2014 carrera s. Aero kit.
Although I like my Porsches stock and original (both of mine are), a nice collection. Those aftermarket exhausts are nice if you like loud, especially the Stage 3s, but I prefer to hear the chains driving my cams in an air-cooled 911. Take a listen to Steve McQueen's 911 at the start of LeMans, sounds nice.
Thank you for tuning in ACE! The collection is quite amazing and is constantly evolving/changing. I hope to return to Houston to film some of the new acquisitions in the future. I agree, I mean, just like anything, everyone has their tastes - for this collector, the personal touches is what he enjoys the most. It's a whole ritual when a new 993 joins the stable. I agree with you though, the chain and the mechanical, metallic sounds from the flat 6s are something else! Cheers!
I believe the BBS wheels on the arena red C4S is RT88, a custom variant of the E88 only made for Porsche and BMW. could be configured to any offset and color...
Ok you redeemed yourself after Tejas event & driving the Vesuvius... I thought what?, no feature on Rudy’ collection😁 Rudy’ place feels like a car museum, his art/posters look really interesting too... did he mention how long it took to assemble such a car collection? Thanks for a great video👍
My favorite of them all regarding the looks and stance is the final Carrera S on 17" Cups and clean original body and bumpers. The size of the 993 is perfect with 17" wheels in my opinion, with the exception of the Turbo model because of the "whale" tail resting on the wide body - besides the need for the wider tires for the extra torque... For what I learned here is that the "Rudyfication" process is not my cup of tea. I prefer the original look as much as possible and if any modifications are to be made preferable needs to look original as in original from another trim... For example using the Turbo bumper in a Carrera is approved in my book, adding the Turbo S ducts it is approved as well. After market wheels (even the best BBS out there) is a very delicate situation in my book - not discarded but I have big reservations for that... Another thing is, the original American market height ride is just a bit higher than I like for the looks, but I do not like the tires almost touching (leveled with) the wheel arches - in my opinion it looks like a pimp's car, even more so when you add to that aftermarket wheels with chrome on them... Having said that, this is a good collection of cars and if he likes it this way and he is 100% happy then that is all that it matters. Thanks for posting!
M030 European factory stance is the best. It's higher than Bilsteins but lower than US stock. And I don't like BBS's on 993, either. Much better looking on original Cup2 wheels, especially the narrow bodies.
@@911Percent Interesting .... I had a '98 C4S and sold that after a little more than a year mainly because I wasn't happy with its condition. I turned around and bought a '96 Turbo in mint condition with less than 15k miles on it. I like it so much more than the C4S. The power is just wonderful especially with upgraded exhaust, cats, suspension, turbos and a bunch of TurboS parts.
+1. .. A fantastic tour of Rudy's Hideaway. .. Hey Jacob-meister,,,, don't you be mocking the S coupe's stock Cup II 17" wheels! .. I'd order the 993 C2S with its stock Cup II's,,, leaving more option money to select; .. Full Leather, Litronic's, Leather airbag, Leather sun visors w/lites, Hardbacks w/heat, Onboard computer, Rear wiper, M030 and a lengthy options list; day/night mirror, CD changer, CD 210 radio, etc, etc.. .. IIRC, the solid spoke 18" turbo twist wheels were around $2000. USD ?? .. Fk that. I'd put that $2K towards the $3,600 Full Leather option .... My $.02 .. Yeah gotta admire Rudy's intention for the sports car hobby!
I agree, mine would be similar spec. The whole point of the C2S back then was to use up all of the left over (read: unsold) 993 Turbo bodies, so the less options on a C2S the better in my opinion! :) Nobody wanted these cars back then, everyone was too excited for the arrival of the all new watercoolers; aka fried egg 996s lol
+1. .. So true. .. About half way through the 993 production years, the 993 saw sizable $ dealer incentives promoting Dealers to order 993 cars. .. Try as they might, Porsche AG would keep a lid on much of the 996's details. .. Many Porsche enthusiasts were on the fence, like myself, regarding the 996 car. .. As luck would have it many of us dodged the 996 series. .. The 993 had sizeable "trunk money" incentives as Porsche AG was truely uptight for 993 orders. .. Advantage me! .. The option budget for many just doubled. .. There's more original 993 owners out there than you'd think. .. Cheers -
Thanks brother!! I am just trying to get back into it after taking a little break! Stay tuned, new videos coming soon - probably next week, unless I can swing it this Thursday. Cheers man! :)
Ok, but it's what the guy likes to collect. I wouldn't say it's a shame LOL. It could be argued that the Targa has a disruptive C pillar design vs the coupe - and also, I think, a big reason why they're worth way less than coupes today. I personally love the targa too. Love the smooth roofline and the big greenhouse inside - the cars are so bright and joy to drive. :)
No intent Jerome, his goal is to collect wide body (C2S + C4S) coupes in Paint-to-Sample or really rare and low production specs. I agree, the RS would be the ultimate addition to a 993 collection, but it wouldn't work in this one since RSs aren't widebody. :) Thanks for watching! :)
Just taking a little RUclips vacation! Don’t worry everything is cool over here - car is under cover in a warm garage :) I’m planning to post a new video next Thursday! Cheers!!
You are right, the 4S did not come with the split grill. My 4S has the original black plastic one, I like it like that. This owner however, likes the split grill on all of his widebody 993s in his collection..some of them are 2Ss some are 4Ss... that's what he likes on HIS cars. I think you got it all wrong, he is not pretending that the entire collection is 2wd. Thanks for watching
He can put a V6 chevy engine in HIS cars if he wish , but from a collector point of view, you want to be as genuine as possible. That split grid JUST don't belong to that car/mode/year.
My friend doesn't care about "genuine as possible" or collector perspectives...If he did you are right, there would be no split grills on his C4Ss. He does what he likes with his cars, even drives them all on a regular basis. You know what sucks more than a non-period-correct split grill? RWB...can we agree there?
Wow would've been interesting to hear from the owner of all those cars and his story behind his reasons for buying and choosing the various different colours and interiors, either way the guy has got himself a rock solid investment 12:25 investment investment
ok, this kinda bum'd me out every car is basicly exactly the same, just different colors & rims and the occasional spoiler at least Magnus Walker has 1 of every make/model my favo would be a 964 Targa with 993 everything else
Sounds like your Porsche collection would be more diverse, I get that... Rudy's collection consists of rare and one of a kind colours and options of wide body 993s only, so it's very specific. :) He would be sad to hear it bummed you out lol.. Thanks for watching :)
don't get me wrong ! i love any and all Porsche enthousiast, and that's just it, they're all individuals expressing they're passion in they're own way ! then one thing they have in comon to my experience is a high(er) IQ and a "divergent" mentality with in turn makes then "get" the querks of an RR engine, that once understod can be turned into advantages it needs weighttranfer turn-in but gives ya in turn way sooner full grip on exitspeed, this is why other manufacturers have tryed to beat Porsche for decades, but still havend succeded, because they still havend figured out that the only way to do it is to put the engine behind the rearwheels ^^ yes, a lightweight midengined car is probably faster, but will never give ya the same feel and reward after mastering it.... my personal perfect Porsche would be the latest RUF yellowbird carbon chassis homage with inboard suspention, with 993 GT2 looks and widebody, but without the rivets in the fenders and a Singer 4.0 NA 400hp aircooled engine ... and a ducktail xD though i wouldn't say no to any of the new Real Targa's ^^ but the 993 is my favo and Rudy's take is spot on, !!! i'd just ad a ducktail, a bit more widebody and a 4.0 NA 400hp engine ... and ofcourse the Targa roof ^^
+1. .. The collector sure admires the hardback seats which were introduced with the 993, and with the backs painted in corresponding body color no less. .. I think there's a guy in Frankfurt who can supply fully electric OEM hardbacks ... where at actual 993 production time only the height was electrically operated. .. Hey man, you gotta know the right people lol.
Oh man, I have my eye on those new hardbacks on a daily basis (@TurboSeats on Instagram). One day I'll order a cashmere set with black backs for my car...:)
RIP to Rudy. Never met him in person but judging by the effect his death had on the Porsche community, he was a great guy. What an amazing collection he had.
What a collection! That turquoise blue is gorgeous!
6:20 is that Riviera Blue ?
I can't get enough of that shape. Totally understandable why guys love their Porsche more than anything
Thanks!
Thanks for watching Chris!
Amazing collection ! Thanks ! This Rudy has some serious taste :) I wish I could visit in person ..
Thanks a lot! Oh man, I can just imagine the anticipation once it's close to completion! Congrats!!! :)
This guy Rudy has an incredible collection.
He does. I need to go back! Thanks for watching!!
Lovin it ! ! ! !
Thanks Jakob, I really enjoy watching your videos, and I just looove Rudy's collection of 993s. Yeah, we got some snow today, not bad though only 5" or so. :) Just a heads up, I'm taking a bit of a vacation starting now until end of January, and then will post every other Thursday during the off season! Nice camera angles.👍 Great collection.❤
Nice tour Jakob! Love seeing those skittles!
Thanks for checking out man!! :)
Man I’m drooling 🤤 luv have that car collection 👍🏼👍🏼
Thanks for watching! :P
Hi Jakob! Rudy has an amazing collection. Thanks so much for the tour and the insight. Cheers from Round Rock!
Hi, thanks for checking it out!! :)
Damn what a collection
Now I would like to see Singer work some magic on one of these.
I was talking with Rob Dickinson a few years ago at a Singer launch and he was saying that even though 993s have a special place in his heart (He has a silver C2 as far as I recall), they could never figure out a direction with this generation. That was pre Singer DLS. Thanks for tuning in!
Great collection
Agreed :)
Absolutely awesome! Thanks. Sk
Thank you Stephen! :)
awesome, thanks for another video making me wish I was back in Texas driving these cars again! haha
Thanks Andrew!! I wish all I did was play with air-cooled Porsches haha :)
Aero kit.

Cool, thanks for getting to the bottom of the wheel mystery!
EXCELLENT! This is a great tour of Rudy's harem! Thanks for capturing all the details!
Thanks for watching James!!
Ok you redeemed yourself after Tejas event & driving the Vesuvius... I thought what?, no feature on Rudy’ collection😁
Rudy’ place feels like a car museum, his art/posters look really interesting too... did he mention how long it took to assemble such a car collection?
Thanks for a great video👍
Ha, thanks for watching.
Lol, I should have know you wouldn’t leave Rudy’ place without a through tour🤤
I can see me doing something like this with M3s in the future. When you find a lifer car, best way to complement that is with several flavors!
Yeah all amazing
Great video. The light blue turquoise is that Riviera blue?
Thanks for watching. This is a Turquoise Blue car not Riviera.
the Torqouise Blue, Red, Speed Yellow are sexy eye candies
My favorite of them all regarding the looks and stance is the final Carrera S on 17" Cups and clean original body and bumpers. no 993 carrera rs cs, turbo s or gt2?
No, this gentleman only collects naturally aspirated wide body 993s with rare specs and options.
My favourite Porsche
Thanks for tuning in!
Great content! BBS E50 & E88 for me!
Thanks for watching!
at first, was excited to see so many in one room my fave version of 911, until i realise maybe harder to get one now :/
Same though. F-ing hoarders.....
I live in Houston and had no idea of this collection! Shame on me lol
Thanks for watching!
Awesome collection!!
Thanks fo watching !
No 993 Turbo???
No, the owner doesn't like the way the turbo drives. He loves the naturally aspirated cars. He had a few nice turbos before, but he sold them.
@@911Percent Interesting .... I had a '98 C4S and sold that after a little more than a year mainly because I wasn't happy with its condition. 💔 sad day in Porsche world...
Shame no Turbos in the collection

Perfect bro
what about 964 ?
What?.........no 993 Targa????
No, he only collects rare spec wide body 993s - no targas, no C2, no C4 and no cabriolets. :)
shame, imho the 993 targa has the most beautiful roofline of all 993's (no rails)
Ok, but it's what the guy likes to collect. I wouldn't say it's a shame LOL. 911Percent Good to know all’s well! Looking forward to the next vid👍🏻
Yoo.. need my 993 widebody fix bud 😔 where you at?
Hey man, just taking a bit of a break till end of Jan. :)
911Percent ok ok dont forget to go snowboarding, i know i would but no snow here in Azores :(
I'm shredding HARD, what an amazing winter this year! Hopefully the weather there is warm enough to take a dip in the ocean for me my friend! :)
911Percent nahh i'll pass, no snow but still winter time, have a good one ;)
Lol, fair :)

You have to pronunche in the right way the German words : Not BILSTEEN but BILSTEIN....AS BILSCHTAAAEN!!
Can’t help but notice how much he makes a lot these cars look like turbo s… why not just sell all of them and buy an actual turbo s?
Nice car you drove............ sorry the wheels are always subjective and can make the car, those are terrible !!!!
