Awesome. Tomorrow I'm having a welder do the same thing to my fifth wheel. Difference is I have 2 scooters totalling 400lbs. You did an excellent job it appears. Great mount, I just watched 'A chicks life - RV channel' snapped mount video and wanted to know how to properly mount one Glad no one was killed by a loose motorcycle/metal on the road.
Hey Kevin, I'm looking at doing this out in Albert's here! Have you come close to dragging the far back end of your hitch? I get into some wild areas I guess sometimes... I'm going to copy you and put my KLR or XL 250 on the back there.
How is the added weld holding up? Also how thick is the wall of the 2x6 that is welded to the frame ? Bty great idea . I’ve been brainstorming ideas and saw ur solution. Just wondering if that 2x6 steel is going to tare
Pulling Chocks I sold the trailer last summer but I used the setup several times before it was sold and never had an issue. I bought the actual rack. It was just a motorcycle carrier for a vehicle.
Hey Kevin, what did you use for those plates you put on the top and bottom side of the nuts and bolts? Where did you get those plates and how thick are they?
How have you liked the carrier? Any issues or concerns. how about dragging. looking to do this on a fifth wheel for a honda 250 scooter but it weighs about 350Lbs so i may have to beef up the frame a bit.
Michael Chung I sold the trailer last summer but used the setup several times without any issues. The only thing I didn’t like was not being able to see the bike on the back while driving. Always afraid something back there was going wrong. Would stop and check every so often and all would be fine. A rear camera would solve the worrying issue I suppose.

Im wanting to haul my 2014 harley heritage it ways 670. Have a 30 ft can this work for me
I wouldn’t recommend that much weight with this setup.
Even thought about swivelift because im getting a golf cart.is illegal to run this cruizerlifts has a swivel set up

I didn’t drag the bike carrier anywhere. There was quite a bit of clearance. However I never off roaded the trailer.

Curious to know two years after this was made if that’s moto mount is still solid and trailer is on one piece? Has it held up ?

They are spring shackles. Got em at Princess Auto here in Canada.
