- Made with uncompromising craftsmanship and striking innovation, the C22 features Breedlove's signature cutaway on a concert-sized body that's as deep as a dreadnought, making it easy to hold and play over the entire length of the fingerboard.
The back and sides of this beautiful instrument are made of myrtlewood; the top is Sitka spruce with an abalone rosette, walnut binding, and classic Breedlove appointments. It has a maple neck, ebony veneer fingerboard, and a custom Acoustic Guitar anniversary logo.
Breedlove's skilled luthiers have paid meticulous attention to every step of the making of this C22, from choosing the wood and shaping the body to polishing of the finish, ensuring an instrument that sounds as beautiful as it looks.

Long time ago, in 1975 when Led Zeppelin's eponymous album, Physical Graffiti, was released, i was a 17-year old high school kid. I was the first one in the store to buy the album on the first day of its release. Went home and wore out the tracks. But a funny thing happened on my way to listening to 'In The Light' for the 11,000th time ... i forgot to lift the needle off the record after it was finished. That led me to listen to that "other song" that was only a couple minutes long.
It was a thing of beauty that changed my life. It inspired me to pickup the guitar & learn to play it.
I remember asking myself, what was James Patrick seeing, what inspired him to write this melodic, gorgeous piece of music? I closed my eyes and as i listened, in my mind's eye i pictured a beautiful outdoor panorama of gently rolling, green hills, interrupted only by a stream flowing through it and punctuated by a few trees. It's a peaceful scene, pastoral, and calming and it seems to roll out as far as the eye can see.
Many years later when the digital age dawned, i decided to lookup Bron-Yr-Aur and discover its inspiration. I saw a photo of the cottage and the surrounding lands, and i was finally able to see exactly what inspired James Patrick to write this tune. To my utter astonishment i saw a beautiful outdoor panorama of gently rolling, green hills, interrupted only by a stream flowing through it and punctuated by a few trees. It's a peaceful scene, pastoral, and calming and it seems to roll out as far as the eye can see.
And *THAT* is precisely what makes James Patrick Page the incredible musician that he is. It takes a very special kinda talent to be able to communicate one's thoughts through a guitar into the mind's eye of another person, with nary a word spoken- just a musical lyric.
That 17-year old kid is now a retired 62 year-old guy who has never tired of this terrific piece of music. It wakes me up each & every morning of my life.
Thanks for sharing this story!
A!a!aaa
Great craftsmen choose great musicians to showcase their finished product.
this is the most perfect song in existence. great cover
Fantastic. Jimmy would be so proud and honored that you played this practically mistake-free!
Thank you!!
One of my favorite Page instrumentals played beautifully.
Sir James Page wrote a masterful folk rendition.
Midlands
Excellent rendition thankyou👏👏
Most lovely.❤
Very nice rendition of one of my favorite acoustic songs. Led Zeppelin is my favorite band and I’m also a big fan of yours (solo and Zapperella)!
Perfect tempo . Beautifully performed.
That was beautiful. I just laid back, shut my eyes, and let you take me on an ethereal journey. Your tempo and tone were just right on this classic song.
Beautiful playing. Beautiful instrument.
It sounds really good at a slower tempo.
Redeeming after a long day - thanks
Great job. Beautiful!
An approximate translation of Bron-Yr-Aur is 'Hillside of Gold' (from a friend who is Welsh).
Works beautifully at this tempo. It’s even prettier.
Bravo
a very good version
Great lesson Gretchen!
Gretchen your face tells the whole story.
Magnificent work.
AWSOME 👍
That was so beautiful. I wish I could playike that!
love...
Nice and slow.🖤🖤
Love this ..👍👍@gretchenmenn
Lovely work from a lovely woman
If you want to get rid of the string squeek use Elixir Strings or lift your fingers slightly when sliding
please do a tutorial video on this!
Love this!! Jimmy Page is more than a cut above!
The new kid on the block last time I touched a Breedlove. A race car acoustic as fast & sleek as Craig Breedlove’s land speed record Green Monster.
Beautiful girl playing a beautiful song.
yep i like it to. so much i composed mine in standard tuning which works really well .this could be played with a slide i envisioned also as a solo , would not be as complete but as a pendulum sounding note swing with the slide.
how's that for psychodelic pop goes the wheezle
You played very cool.
And you very nice
Gretchen

Another reason Page is a genius: His instrumental prowess. Really well done. But, I admit I was distracted from the beauty of the song by the string noise, as in when she slides from the fifth to the seventh fret at about 00:55 in. I'm guessing those are brand new strings, perhaps round wound and not yet broken in, which can increase noise.
I believe the original was the same
Would also love a review of you and your husbands gear sometime!
Great rendition! Unfortunately them strings are “chirpy”….. if I guessed, was that Breedlove strung up with DR Veritas?
I have a Breedlove cutaway 12-string that's just gorgeous. Almost as gorgeous as you, but not quite. :)
Why don't you play the bass note @ :25 - :30?
I think she does. But it's the open string, not fretted at the fifth.
Because that's what I play
What's the tuning?

@@Jasonsg1210 OK I get that. I've never tried it but I know about it. It's very pretty in this piece. Ask and you shall receive. Thanks.
Sounds slow?
Im a big fan of you, i hope you will answer.
Total. Krush.

No doubt Jimmy played it very slow.........and of course. Sure he had a electric faster version only heard by himself and few others!
Saw song remains the same at the midnight matinee. Zeppelin was Huge! Stair way to Heaven....the last song in the movie....was just coming out on the radio!
I still watch? Dazed and confused! Bow string! WOW! And them getting ripped off at there hotel! Thousands of dollars! Right out of there safety deposit box in the lobby! Inside job! NY.
Zeppelin had there own plane...not the first to have one....but the coolest!!!
That string squeak the first few measures is awful. I can't listen. Sounds like a farting parrot is in the room.
