I’m so glad you got this doll. She is beautiful 🤩 Growing up, I always wanted the Dolls of the World line from the Barbie catalog, and someday I’ll be able to get them 🤞🏽🙏🏽 But I agree with you that they only somewhat properly represent the land they were created for, which may be why they were discontinued, even though they are still popular. If they had said the dolls were “inspired by” those lands as opposed to representing and being from the land, I think they’d be more accepted and there wouldn’t have been as much backlash over the years 🫤🫤🫤 Even still, they all have been, like this one, absolutely stunning in their own ways, and I love them 💖💖💖
Oh me too! I used to scour shopping sites and catalogs back in the 2000s to see what new Barbies were being released. 😆 Dolls of the World were always very fab, very satisfying to look at. I could never get them back then, but one can dream. But yeah, accuracy wasn’t really their goal back then. It was all about being pretty. And for that I can’t 100% disagree with them. Dolls of the World will always be my ✨problematic fave!✨❤️
@@chealsea_zpt2878 I’m not really familiar with Mattel’s list of skin tones . But at least I can confirm it’s not Neutra. Neutra is the skin tone they use for Millie most of the time.

@@asherbarbara9 😁 “Problematic Fave”… I like how you put that 😁 You’re so right about them being more concerned with their looks than their accuracy.
I'm from Indonesia, but why isn't it sold here, it's a shame😢
This doll was released in 2008, by the way. Maybe that’s why you’re not seeing it anymore 🙂
The face is very beautiful! It is quite a missed opportunity because kebaya is more detailed than this dress, as seen in Puteri Indonesia.
I agree. It would have been so much better if they had created a more accurate garment.😔 Kebaya are beautiful!
What the series of the body pivotal?
Hi. The body I used isn’t the pivotal body. It’s an articulated bellybutton body. This one is from a Barbie Life in the Dreamhouse Teresa doll.
